Recap:
Deadline Hollywood released an article on Tuesday criticising the increased amount of "ethnic castings" occurring on television in the last year. In the article, the casting of POC leads is called "dubious" and the writer states that "the pendulum might have swung a bit too far", arguing that new shows are imposing "ethnic quotas" for casting. You can read more about it here. Deadline is now attempting to make some kind of statement by retweeting anyone who references the article.

Hilary did an interview recently while promoting her new show "Younger" (watch the first two episodes on Tuesday, March 31st @ 10 PM on TV Land") and was asked about her music career. Sounds like she scrapped the folky pop album in favor of a Dignity 2.0

-The album is electro-pop/dancey/with a splash of folk
-The first (lol) single will be out soon
-She just finished up her last studio session
-She wrote/recorded 4+ songs when she visited Sweden
-All About You will be on the album, no mention of Chasing The Sun (lol thank god)

Ben Affleck testified before a hearing of the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Diplomacy and National Security in Washington D.C. on Thursday.

With wife Jennifer Garner and their young daughter, Violet, sitting behind him, Affleck, the founder of the Eastern Congo Initiative, discussed the importance of non-military U.S. aid to eastern Congo.

According to the New York Daily News, he was "knowledgeable and pragmatic ... Especially during the question period, Affleck was impressive as he mixed a nuanced and self-deprecating take of the economics, politics, religion and even criminal behavioral patterns of a complex region with a seemingly realistic analysis of the potency of "soft power."

-He comes from a deep wrestling background. His father and uncle are Sika & Afa of The Wild Samoans, respectively. His cousin is The Rock, his cousins are the Usos, Rikishi, Samu and Umaga, his brother is Rosey. All wrestled in the WWF/E.
-Had a ring in his backyard where all his family members were trained
-His fave growing up was Bret Hart.
-Was always more quiet than his family members. While wrestling is in his blood, he wanted to pursue football.
-Was drafted to the Minnesota Vikings but failed a physical because of a medical condition. He was cut and was devastated.
-“I had different opportunities and different doors. I don’t have an independent background. I didn’t wrestle for a tiny promotion. I didn’t break my arm and have no insurance. Some people respect some stories and don’t respect other stories. I’ll be damned if anyone is going to disrespect what I’ve been through. I’ve had plenty of obstacles in my life.”
