Please Like Me S1x05 "Spanish Eggs" Review
Alan and Rose’s fighting is quite juvenile but it suits their characters as Alan has been portrayed as a bratty and mopey for most of the season while Rose is quite a free-spirit and flippant in most interactions. It was good to see they are both still struggling with the split and struggling to be adult about the situation but I can see their serious side will show soon with next episode’s funeral
It was finally revealed that Neeve’s pregnancy was fake but we could all see that from miles away, except Tom apparently. Claire figured out it was a farce, herself and Josh discussed the situation in a surprisingly well shot long take through a supermarket. I’m happy we got past this pregnancy so now all Tom has to do is choose between his insane ex and his best friend’s ex in the finale.
I'm surprised at how much I like this show.

Kim Kardashian gets an acupuncture, goes back to wearing tight clothes

Whatever makes her comfortable! Pregnant Kim Kardashian shared a close-up picture of her face on Saturday, March 23 covered in acupuncture needles.
"Oh just relaxing," the 32-year-old reality starlet, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July, captioned the shot on Twitter. In the photo, Kim has at least 18 needles stuck in her face as she poses for the camera with her eyes closed.
"Being pregnant is not as easy as my sister [Kourtney Kardashian] made it look or as my mom [Kris Jenner] has made it look," Kim recently admitted to E! News. "It's a little painful. I've gotten sick a couple times. It's getting a little bit more difficult [to get around]."
After "relaxing" on Saturday, Kardashian stepped out on Sunday looking stylish in a high-waisted blue pencil skirt that accentuated her growing baby bump. The mom-to-be also wore her hair wavy and bangs parted to the side

'Daylight' Earns Maroon 5 Its Third Chart-Topping Single Off Of 'Overexposed' Album

Good news for Maroon 5 -- the band just earned its third No. 1 single off of the recent album, "Overexposed."
"Daylight" follows "Payphone" and "One More Night" to become Maroon 5's third chart-topping single, Billboard reports. This is the first time a group has produced three No. 1 singles off of one album since 1994 when Ace of Base's "The Sign" provided fans with "All That She Wants,""Don't Turn Around," and "The Sign." (It's worth noting that solo artists have done better; Katy Perry notched five No. 1's off "Teenage Dream," a feat only matched by Michael Jackson's "Bad.")
The track is Maroon 5's sixth No. 1 single in the 20 years of the Billboard chart, tying Beyonce and Mariah Carey. Katy Perry and Rihanna hold the record for the most No. 1 songs with nine each. P!nk has eight, while Lady Gaga and Britney Spears each have seven.
"Overexposed" has performed well for Maroon 5. The rockers' fourth studio album was certified platinum early this year and hit No. 2 on the Billboard 200.

James Franco: I Understand Why People Hate Anne Hathaway
James Franco says he made up with Anne Hathaway after hosting the Oscars -- but we'll see if that lasts after his recent appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius XM radio show! The Spring Breakers actor was questioned by Stern on Monday, March 25 about his relationship with Hathaway after their highly-criticized 2011 Oscar hosting gig.
"I'm happy to revisit this, but you're going to have to take the lead," Franco, 34, warned Stern. "If you're going to talk about it, you're going to have to give your opinions . . . She does not want me talking about this, but okay."
"Everyone sort of hates Anne Hathaway, and I've explained that I do too and I don't know even know why sometimes," Stern explained. "She's just so affected [and] actress-y that even when she wins an award she's out of breath, and then she has the standard joke that sounds like it's [been] written [for her]. And it all seems so scripted and acted."
"She comes off like the goody two-shoes actress and it's just fun to sort of hate her," the radio host added. "Hate is a strong word . . . but [I] dislike her, even though she is a great actress. Is that accurate?"
"I'm not an expert on -- I guess they're called 'Hatha-haters'-- but I think that's what maybe triggers it," Franco agreed.
"Are you still friendly with her?" Stern asked.
"We haven't talked in a while," the Oz the Great and Powerful actor admitted of his relationship with the now Oscar-winning actress. But he later added, "Anne and I made up, by the way. Let's just get that on the record."
"It was a really hard time after the Oscars," Franco added. "She wasn't mad at me, I don't think . . . she didn't say she was mad at me for what happened . . . The critics were so nasty."
Franco also addressed reports that he turned down having sex with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. "I don't want to like brag about it," he said. "I don't know how that got out."
"She was having issues even then, so you feel weird," Franco explained. "Honestly, she was a friend. I've met a lot of people that are troubled and sometimes you don't want to do that."
What's his relationship status now? "Let's say I'm dating," he shared. "I'm getting older. I would like a long-term relationship."

Michael Rooker on HBIC Merle Dixon

Michael Rooker, who plays Merle on The Walking Dead, was yesterday’s surprise guest on the Talking Dead.
When Rooker first arrived, host Chris Hardwick informed him that he died really hard on tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead. Michael Rooker quipped, “Well, if’ you’re going to die, then you might as well die hard. What is this easy crap? Forget it.”
As far as what the cast did for Michael Rooker’s last day, Rooker said, “We shot at a little pub area. We used their parking lot to stage that whole sequence. And at the end of the day, we went into the pub and had a drink and did a few speeches and some hugs and kisses and all that kind of stuff and it was a lot of fun.”
When Hardwick said that Merle became the guy that Daryl hoped he would become at the end, Rooker leaned in and said, “Merle was already that guy.” Rooker added, “You know what. You don’t just become someone new. You know under stresses you do…don’t get me wrong, people do change. But you know that was already inside Merle.”
When asked why Merle let Michonne go in the car, Rooker said, “You know what, I think he got tired of listening to her.” Rooker added, “She wasn’t needed anymore. I had already figured out I’m going to do this with her or without her, and I didn’t want to listen to her anymore. I’m sorry. Get out of the car, please.”
When asked if Merle went on a suicide mission, Rooker said, “I don’t think it was ever, in my mind, it was never a suicide mission. In my mind, it was hitting the beaches. Ok, yeah, granted you may die. But you don’t think of dying. You go and you do your job. My job, plain and simple, I think you already stated it, was to go in, make an entry, take out as many as I possible can and make an exit. Well, you know, the exit thing didn’t happen. Although, I’ve got to tell you, I did make quite an interesting exit, but it wasn’t the one I was thinking of.”
When Hardwick suggested that Daryl stabbed Merle so many times to get back at him for things he had done, Rooker said, “Ah, I think you’re way off base. I don’t think that’s the reason at all. I think you just get into…he was emotional of course he lost it. His brother’s gone. And we have always said to one another, this is not on camera anywhere, but you make that pact, just like we [pointing to The Governor] make that pact as members of Woodbury, you don’t leave anybody alive as a zombie. You’ve got to put them down, plain and simple. That’s the only humane way to do it.”
When asked if Merle’s hart was with the prison, with Woodbury, or just with Daryl, Rooker replied, “Merle’s heart has always been with his brother, and his with mine.”

R.I.P.
Nine over-the-top pieces of “Game of Thrones” fan fiction

Perhaps the strength of a show’s fan base can be measured in the fan fiction surrounding it.
Since the early days of the Internet, fans of existing properties have spun entirely new stories using characters that exist in someone else’s produced work. And while alternately glum and grim adult dramas “Mad Men” and “Breaking Bad” languish on FanFiction.net with, respectively, 80 and 78 stories about them (and “Boardwalk Empire” has a mere 62), “Game of Thrones,” which returns on HBO Sunday night, is booming. Six hundred and eight stories have been committed to FanFiction.net’s pages — including stories transplanting the characters to the present day and into a gay fantasia on George R. R. Martin’s themes. To test the fantasy show’s malleability — and to see which “Game of Thrones” fan might be the next E.L. James, printing money from fan fiction — we picked a few of our favorites.
The story: “A song of Ice and Walkers”
Synopsis: Jon Snow and Daenerys find themselves in the “Walking Dead” universe, where they fight off zombies.
Sample prose: “What time had they jumped into? Nothing felt the same as it did in Westeros, everyone here looked different. Life was different. Was this the past? Before the Seven Kingdoms? Was this the future? Or was all this happening at the same time just in a different realm?”
The verdict: 8/10 severed heads. There’s crossover between the fandoms for Sunday night’s two gruesome fantasies, and the author knew enough to use two of the most popular “Thrones” characters.
The story: “you bring the ice”
Synopsis: Jacob Stark is set to marry “Twilight” heroine Bella Swan.
Sample prose: “I do not want to hurt you, Lady Swann,” said Edward without replying to her statement. “But my body wants to hurt you. My black hands want to find their way around your throat and strangle you until you turn as blue as my eyes.”
The verdict: 5/10 severed heads. The purple prose has more in common with Stephenie Meyer than George R. R. Martin..
The story: “Westeros City Chronicles”
Synopsis: A fairly short story (still being told!) resetting the action of “Game of Thrones” to a hard-boiled noir.
Sample prose: “The large youth suddenly got almost comedically serious with his friend. ‘Ned, if there’s anything more important than these crab cakes, I want it caught, shot, and burned for blasphemy …’ He stuffed his mouth midsentence, before he stopped and looked out at someone. ‘Hey Lannister … get your narrow ass over here, you’re not going to believe this, look.’”
The verdict: 9/10 severed heads. There is almost no plot, or connection to source material here, but that didn’t stop E.L. James! The weird flourishes (crab cakes?) and the general imitation of James M. Cain carry the day.
The story: “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich”
Synopsis: Some of the young and glamorous “Thrones” characters go to a nightclub together.
Sample prose: “Petyr finds Alayne bent on the sink when he comes out of the cubbicle he shared with Lysa. Harry already left and Lysa is regaining her breath. Alayne plounged a toothbrush in her throat deep enough to vomit. She now was whasing her pretty mounth. He watches her, running a protective hand up and down her back in a comforting gesture.”
The verdict: 8/10 severed heads for effort and for telling a story with a beginning, middle and end — even if we had no idea what was going on through most of it.
The story: “Two of a Kind”
Synopsis: Two male “Thrones” characters, raised within the same family, end up having a fun, TV-MA weekend together!
Sample prose: Theon rolled his eyes. “I know, I know. ‘To take no women and sire no children.’ But there’s nothing in there about men, is there? And with these long winter nights –” Another silence followed this, more nervous and less hostile than the last.
The verdict: 10/10 severed heads. Congratulations to this author on proving that any truly popular show will be the subject of fan fiction pairing two male characters together, preferably ones as close to “brothers” as possible to shatter multiple taboos at once.

Ex-WWE Star X-Pac Oops! I Tore My Butthole

Former WWE star X-Pac tore himself a new one last weekend ... literally ... after one of his signature wrestling moves took a BLOODY turn.
According to his ex-GF's Instagram, Pac -- real name Sean Waltman -- was wrestling at an indie event in Minneapolis Saturday night when he performed his Bronco Buster ... a move where he leaps into a straddle position on some guy's face (below).
Problem is ... the other guy moved -- putting X's nuts and anus on a collision course with the ring's turnbuckle. It didn't end well for X-Pac.
X managed to finish the match after the injury, but when he got back to his hotel room he noticed a lot of blood coming from his nether regions ... and wisely went to the hospital.
X-Pac underwent surgery for a torn anus and was released today.
By the way, he also lost the match -- sooo ... zero upside here.

Ender's Game: Official Poster

(Click for full view.)
On the heels of Ender Game’s first poster debuting today, the film’s producer revealed that the Ender’s Game trailer will premiere with Star Trek Into Darkness.
Tweeted Rob Orci in response to a fan:
“@fleetadmiralj: @boborci when are we getting a trailer? Star trek?” Yup!
— roberto orci (@boborci) March 25, 2013
Orci also added a new entry to the Ender’s Game blog last night, offering an update on the film’s post-production. “We are now well into post production and the famous zero gravity battle room scenes are looking fantastic,” he wrote. “We started a year ago by sending our talented young actors off to a “space camp” to train under the guidance of real NASA astronauts. They learned to move in zero gravity environments and experienced the wonderful feeling of weightlessness. Mix in some truly incredible visual effects work and today we are looking at battle room scenes that will blow your mind!”
The Star Trek sequel hits theaters May 17, 2013, so we may see the Ender’s Game trailer online earlier in the week.
The decision to run the trailer in front of Star Trek is obvious; both appeal to science fiction audiences. The book to film adaptation of Orson Scott Card’s work is highly-anticipated and long awaited.
In the poster you see the figure of Ender from behind. He’s decked out in his full spacesuit with his laser pistol at his side (his helmet has a dragon insignia for his team, “Dragon Army”). At his feet is the message, “Warning: Null G Beyond This Point,” meaning there will be no gravity once he steps into the Battle Room. Inside you see his fellow competitors blasting at each other, with most grabbing onto the immobile “stars” (the blocks with the triangles on them) for support. And the transparent walls of the room give you a view of the Earth as the Battle School orbits above.
In a phone interview, director Gavin Hood said that the design of the Battle Room was the first challenge his and his production design team tackled when they began work on “Ender’s Game” over two years ago. Before they had a cast or even their full financing in place, Hood said, “We put together a 45-second teaser based around the idea of a character jumping out of a gate into zero gravity and just floating into this amazing space.”
So how big is the interior of the Battle Room? Hood said, “This is the high school football field, only it’s in three dimensions. It’s the size of a football field in all directions: up, down, left, right. And the idea is teams jump out from opposite ends of this amazing space and play this amazing game of 3D paintball, almost.”
One deviation from the book is that in the original text the Battle Room is described as being a giant hollow cube. But Hood felt that to really convey the size and dimensionality of the space, it should be spherical. Hood said he then proposed, “What if we could see through? What if we could see out of the space, and we’re moving around the Earth and turning at the same time?” He said he felt that would create “a really strange, disorienting experience,” that would better capture the notion in the book that in space there really is no up or down.
Hood also revealed that in order to get his young actors ready for the experience of recreating a zero-G environment, they went to the actual Space Camp in Hunstville, Alabama. They were submerged in a giant water tank – much like the one real astronauts use – to approximate a gravity free environment. They also trained in wirework to learn how to act while dangling from a harness. And they underwent full body scans so their features could be mapped onto digital doubles.

Jennifer Lawrence: ‘My parents would never let me turn into a diva’

She’s Hollywood’s hottest property, but isn’t letting it go to her head. Meet Jennifer Lawrence, a very normal superstar…
Amid the plastic fantasticness of Hollywood, where celebrity publicists pull the strings and much of reality is stage-managed, Jennifer Lawrence’s unique brand of clumsy, carefree perfection has been a breath of fresh air.
She drinks, she swears, she totally speaks her mind. She admits she hasn’t got a clue about fashion and that she only exercises so she can eat pizza for breakfast.
And of course, she trips and falls in front of a global audience of, ooh, only hundreds of millions of people during the biggest moment of her career, and doesn’t even attempt to style it out.
“That,” she says following her stumble en route to collecting her Best Actress Oscar for her breathtaking performance in Silver Linings Playbook, “was embarrassing.”
The adorably garbled, breathless and entirely unprepared acceptance speech that followed, served only to make us fall a little bit more in love with her. She’s sparky, quirky and stupidly talented and, at the age of 22, arguably Tinseltown’s most bankable star.
But while everything around her might be changing, the multimillionairess remains the same down-to-earth girl from Kentucky who still can’t justify purchasing anything from what she sees as over-priced hotel mini-bars.
“I just constantly feel so lucky, that I don’t really have time to feel cocky,” she says. “I was raised to have value for money, to have respect for money, even though you have a lot of it.
“That’s why mini-bars are difficult, because it’s like yes, I can afford a $6 Snickers bar, but there’s just something wrong with that! I still drive my same car I’ve been driving for a long time and I haven’t bought a house yet.
“Definitely my family is not the kind of family that would ever let me turn into an asshole or anything like that, so I am fortunate to have them.”
Jennifer received her first Oscar nomination in 2011 for independent drama and surprise hit Winter’s Bone, but it was her subsequent starring roles as Raven Darkholme in X-Men: First Class later that year and Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games in 2012 that catapulted her into the international consciousness. Follow-ups to both films are underway.
However, it was romcom-drama Silver Linings Playbook, in which she took on the part of widowed sex addict Tiffany Maxwell, that, as well as the Oscar, scooped her Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild awards, plus a BAFTA nomination.
Despite her success, she admits she still finds awards ceremonies terrifying. “I’m afraid I’m going to go my whole life being scared like a chihuahua,” she says. “It’s not my comfort zone. Making movies is where I belong. I shouldn’t be heard just talking. So, when I’m doing movies, I’m really happy. That’s where I’m comfortable, that’s my home. When you put me on a red carpet or on a stage, I turn into chihuahua Jennifer.”
Home girl
She’s not comfortable with fame either, and dreads reading her interviews. She’s only too aware that, however refreshing, she’s yet to learn how to filter her thoughts.
“I have no control over what comes out of my mouth,” she says. “I would probably turn into a mute if I read what I said!”

Recently single after splitting with British actor Nicholas Hoult, 23, in January, Jennifer tends to shun the A-list party scene. She prefers to hang out with non-celeb friends she’s known for years.
“I’m more comfortable with people who know me, like my close friends who I have known forever and my family obviously,” she says.
“There is kind of a sadness that happens when you look into someone’s eyes and you realise that they’re looking at you a certain way, like you are not really you.
“I don’t ever walk around feeling famous. I walk around feeling the exact same way I have walked around my entire life, but it’s not until I talk to somebody and see in their eyes that I’m different. It makes me feel weird.”
It’s why she had to think long and hard before signing up for The Hunger Games. She knew it was a juggernaut and the sort of life-changing movie role that would mean things could never quite be the same again.
“It’s really rare that saying yes to something will completely change your life,” she says.
“I was happy with my life and I didn’t know if I wanted it to change. I’ve always had this imaginary future where I would be a soccer mom that drove a mini-van and my kids would be normal. That just didn’t fit with taking on a giant franchise.
“So, I took three days to decide, and each day was a different answer. I finally talked to my mom. I’d only really done indie films before that, and she said: ‘Every time people ask you why you don’t do studio movies, you always say that it’s because you don’t care about the size of the movie, you care about the story and the character. But you’re a hypocrite, because now you have a story and a character that you love, but you’re not saying yes to it because of the size of it.’ So, I said yes, and I haven’t regretted it.”
Good logic, Ma Lawrence. Though Jen’s mum, Karen, who runs a children’s camp, wasn’t always quite so supportive of Jennifer’s ambition.
When her daughter quit school at the age of 14 and moved from Louisville to New York to make it as an actress, Karen and her husband, former cement company boss Gary, both 56, were naturally horrified.
They eventually relented after Jennifer’s older brothers Ben and Blaine persuaded them to let her follow her dream.
“My brothers called them and said: ‘You’ve travelled all over the country with us, for baseball, football and basketball. This is her baseball game. You have to support her.’ So they were forced to, at that point.”
Karen accompanied her daugther to the Big Apple and Jennifer started going to auditions, eventually getting her break in TV comedy The Bill Engvall Show, despite never having had an acting lesson in her life.
“I felt like it was the only thing I had ever known that I understood, and I didn’t want to let go of that. I think my mom saw the same thing and didn’t really want to send me back to school, where I wasn’t very happy. “She saw how happy I was, living in a rat-infested apartment by myself, just auditioning.”
Fashion convert
Jennifer’s come a long way since then. And with global fame has come a steep learning curve in fashion for the self-confessed tomboy. With top designers falling over each other to dress her – she’s currently the face of Dior, who she wore to the Oscars – she’s learning to embrace it.“I am getting there. I’ve hated shopping my entire life. My mom used to drive me to TJ Maxx and I would almost faint out of boredom.
“[I got] gifted clothes that I didn’t really like, but they were free, so I didn’t have to go shopping. So I would spend, like, years just wearing clothes that I didn’t really like.
“I recently bit the bullet and went shopping and really enjoyed it. Now I am kind of starting to like clothes.”

Clockwise from top left: Jennifer, with her mum, dad and brothers; in Silver Linings Playbook with Bradley Cooper; with ex Nicholas Hoult; Jennifer takes a trip at the Oscars
Her notoriety means she can’t really go on spending sprees down Rodeo Drive these days though, and so most of her shopping is done online.
But that’s a small sacrifice. While Jennifer might understandably be taking a little time to fully adjust to fame, she’s certainly not complaining.
“A lot of things that I didn’t even think could ever be possible for me have happened, all in a year. It’s been overwhelming, but in a wonderful way.”
Laying down the J.Law
What scares you?
Spiders and ghosts. I actually get comforted when I feel like there might be a burglar in my house, like: “There’s a real person that might be breaking into my house, it’s not a ghost, that’s a relief.”
Do you prefer flats or heels?
Flats. When I’m in high heels I feel like an ogre, I can’t walk and my feet are uncomfortable. I’m at that awkward height where I’m already kind of tall [5ft 7½in], so when I put heels on, everyone is like: “Oh, well, where’s the ball?” It’s just that they make me look too dressed up and yeah, I’m terrible in heels.”
Going out or staying in?
I do like going out but every time I’m out, I am always thinking about my couch. And I’m thinking I would probably be having more fun if I was on my couch right now…
What makes you laugh?
I think when people run into things or people get hurt… I know I just have a terrible reaction when I start laughing! Then I ask if anyone is OK. But I just think people falling down and getting hurt is classic hilarity.
Who’s your inspiration?
Meryl Streep. When I was about 13 or 14, Sophie’s Choice was on TV. I was just like, jaw dropped. Unbelievable. And I’ve tried to watch her in just about everything, because I think she’s incredible.
