DC has cancelled the controversial 'Joker variant' cover for Batgirl #41 upon the request of the artist, Rafael Albuquerque, following the uproar from social media last week.

- the cover was a homage for Alan Moore's 'The Killing Joke', which was one of the most lauded and best selling Batman stories off all time. However, it received strong criticism for glamorizing and normalizing sexual assault.

- Albuquerque stated while he chose to draw the cover to play homage for a comic that he admire, it wasn't his intention to hurt others. Therefore, he asked or DC to pulled the cover.

Albuquerque and Batgirl's co-writer Cameron Stewart both clarified that the threats of violence and harassment mention in DC's statement were not directed to him but to those who objected the cover.

Something to clarify, because DCs statement was a little unclear. @rafaalbuquerque did not get threats. People OBJECTING to the cover did.

Jim Parsons and Rihanna have been spending quite a bit of time together lately, and it sounds like one has been rubbing the other up the wrong way!

On the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Monday evening, Parsons has revealed that he’s been getting on Rihanna’s nerves. He has been singing Rihanna’s songs, A LOT…

“Her songs keep coming on in my head. And I’ll keep, like, singing, ‘Yellow Diamonds in the…’ – just out of nowhere, I’ll be doing it. And first off, her reaction is always, she’ll look at me and go ‘That gives me chills. And not in a good way.’”

He revealed that he knows how she feels though as he would feel exactly the same way if she repeatedly said ‘Bazinga’ during the promo trail for the movie.

Last week, Rodner Figueroa was fired for saying that the first lady could be cast in the “Planet of the Apes” franchise. Rosie Perez was upset about the remark, calling it racist.
Raven Symone weighed in on the controversial comments a Univision TV host made about Michelle Obama’s appearance. As a guest host on The View, she defended the host's comments!


Perez: “He did say Michelle Obama looks like a cast member of the ‘Planet of the Apes,'”

Raven: “But was he saying it ‘racist-like'? Because [Figueroa] did say he voted for [Michelle] later and I don’t think he was saying it racist.”

Perez: “Oh please, That’s like saying, ‘I’m not a racist, but I have black friends.”

Michelle Collins (comedian) said that Figueroa’s comments were “stupid” rather than racist. Perez disagreed!

“I am the Latin person here on this table,” Perez said. “And I would like to tell you that it was racist.”

Then Raven says....

“Michelle don’t fire me for this, but some people look like animals. Is that rude? I look like a bird… so can I be mad at somebody that calls me ‘Toucan Sam?'”
