- When Van Jones said it is really not that farfetched considering Donald Trump is the current president, Kim replied "I know. That's why Kanye loves him. It’s the idea that anything can happen."

Angelina Jolie visits Mosul, Iraq

One year after Mosul was liberated from ISIS, Angelina Jolie visits the devastated city where more than 10,000 people are said to have been killed in the fight for the city. She visited with people in the city amazed at the strength of the people there who have lost everything, including family members, and still press on to rebuild. She urges the world to not forget about the people here because they need our help more than ever.

In my country, when we speak of the Middle East we often focus on conflict and human suffering.

And it is true that countless families in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen are suffering from conflict they personally have no part in, instability they cannot control, and extremism that they reject.

But on this visit I have been reminded, as I am every time I am here, of the truly extraordinary dignity, resilience, warmth, generosity and grace of the people of the Middle East.

And I want to thank the people of Iraq for their generosity towards Syrian refugees and displaced people, and in particular the KRI government, which is setting a model for refugee protection.

I’m happy have been here on Eid al-Fitr, and I wish the Iraqi people, the Syrian people, and families across this region and beyond, Eid Mubarak, or Jaznawa Piroz Bit.

I am in Iraq to mark World Refugee Day next week. On Tuesday, UNHCR will publish new figures showing that the numbers of displaced people, and the duration of their exile, are the highest they have ever been. At the same time political solutions seem completely lacking, leaving a void that humanitarian aid cannot fill.

Words like “unsustainable” don’t paint a picture of how desperate these times are.

This is my third visit to Domiz camp in six years. The vast majority of its inhabitants are Syrian women and children.

Their lives are on hold indefinitely because of the war. They cannot go back, they cannot move forward, and each year they have less to live on.

I met two mothers this morning, both of them widows. They both lost their husbands while living as refugees, to medical conditions that could normally have been treated.

And now they are both caring for young aged five 5 and 7 who also have life-threatening medical conditions.

When UNHCR’s Syria response was only 50 per cent funded last year, and this year it is only 17 per cent funded, there are terrible human consequences. We should be under no illusions about this.

When there is not even the bare minimum of aid, refugee families cannot receive adequate medical treatment, women and girls are left vulnerable to sexual violence, many children cannot go to school, and we squander the opportunity of being able to invest in refugees so that they can acquire new skills and support their families.

This is the picture in Iraq, in Syria, and wherever in the world you find refugees and displaced people today.

The only answer is to end the conflicts that are forcing people to flee their homes - and for all governments to meet their responsibilities.

So this World Refugee Day I hope that people around the world will consider this larger picture:

What this level and length of displacement says about our world being dangerously out of balance.

What it will say about us if our response is to be selective about when we help, and when we are prepared to defend human rights.

And what it will mean for the future if we are unable to provide enough basic humanitarian support for displaced people and unable to find any solutions to conflicts at the same time.

That is the situation today, but it is not hopeless.

There are millions of refugees and displaced people who want to return home and to work and start over – as I saw in Mosul yesterday, where brick by brick, with their own hands, they are rebuilding their homes.

There are countries that are keeping their borders open to refugees, despite all the pressures and challenges.

There are aid relief workers who are stretching the aid resources, somehow, to minimize loss of life and provide protection.

And there are people around the world who are more committed than ever to defending human rights and basic values.

So on World Refugee Day this year I hope that we can find the strength to find a better way forward together: so that we move into a new era of preventing conflict and reducing instability, rather than simply struggling to deal with its consequences.

Jim Carrey Returns to Television in "Kidding"

Jim Carrey has reunited with his “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” director Michel Gondry for Showtime's comedy-drama series, “Kidding,” It will be Jim Carrey's first regular television role since In Living Color in the 90s.

Carrey stars as Jeff, aka Mr Pickles, a Mr. Rogers-esque icon of children’s television. Jeff’s image as a beacon of kindness and wisdom to America’s children is threatened once he starts losing his grip on reality following the implosion of his family.

The show premieres on Showtime on September 9th.

Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! The Jerry Springer Show canceled.

-After 27 seasons, 4000 episodes, The Jerry Springer Show has been canceled.

-The Jerry Springer Show premiered back in 1991 and was one of the few remaining tabloid talk shows from the 90s that still aired.

-It is reported that they had their wrap party June 8th.

-TheCW may order additional episodes sometime down the road but right now they plan on just airing the remaining episodes in between reruns.

• Mexico pulls an upset beating Germany 1 - 0.

• This was Germany's first loss opening game since 1982, when West Germany lost against Algeria.

• Just how big was this upset? Well, this was only Mexico's second win against Germany. Their last win against them was in June 1985.

• Mexico coach Juan Carlos Osorio: “In the first half, we were the better team. In the second half, they tried to attack more. We prepared yesterday for their use of Mario Gomez up front. We practiced defending with four midfielders and three players up front and that is almost how we got the second goal. We showed we have a bright future and I am very satisfied with what we did. We played with bravery when it was needed and also defended with all of our hearts.”

• The celebration in Mexico was so big that according to the Institute of Geological and Atmospheric Research, fan reaction immediately after Mexico’s goal against Germany caused an earthquake in Mexico City 🇲🇽 ! No puedo.

ONTD Original: Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson - A Revised Timeline

This is post is an excerpt from a forthcoming post on Ariana Grande's relationship timelines.


May was a busy month for Ariana Grande. As well as continuing to promote her single "No Tears Left To Cry" and her forthcoming album Sweetener, she also ended her relationship of almost two years with rapper Mac Miller and started dating SNL actor and comedian Pete Davidson, who ended his own two-year relationship with Cazzie David. The pair followed up their eventful month by announcing their engagement on June 11. Right? Right?

Except some fans and celeb-watchers have noticed discrepancies in the public timeline of their whirlwind romance.






2017
June 5Ariana appears wearing a yellow diamond on her engagement finger at her One Love Manchester concert, prompting fan speculation that she and Mac Miller are engaged.
November 17

Pete Davidson's girlfriend Cazzie David wishes him a happy birthday on Instagram.
November 23Mac and Ariana are papped driving together in Los Angeles. This is the last time they are seen publicly together in 2017.
2018
January 29

Ariana makes a lowkey solo appearance at the 2018 Grammy Awards and skips the red carpet. A seating chart shows she was seated solo during the ceremony next to Mike Will Made-It. There is no seat labelled for Mac. She doesn't appear in the telecast, apart from briefly being spotted backstage by some fans on Twitter.

January 31Pete posts a series of posts to his Instagram story. They include the statement, "I'm really sad and in insane pain", and a photo of himself with Cazzie, followed by the message "Idk what I did to make you hate me so much, but I'm sorry." He deletes the posts 20 minutes later.

March 5In her (and their) first public appearance together in several months, Mac and Ariana attend an Oscars Party together.

March 13In a since-deleted tweet, Mac tweets, "I only exist when you need something." (He scrubbed his social media last month).

April 16Mac is one of several friends of Ariana's to appear in a "No Tears Left To Cry" sweatshirt on Ariana's Instagram to promote her forthcoming single.

April 20"No Tears Left To Cry" is officially released.

April 21Mac and Ariana make their last public appearance together at Coachella weekend two.

May 4

Cazzie David posts a photo with Pete on Instagram captioned "bffs".

May 7Ariana attends the Met Gala solo, which isn't unusual, but some fans notice that Mac doesn't like any of the photos from the event she posts on Instagram, although they are still following each other at the time.

May 9TMZ reports that Mac and Ariana have broken up.

This is where things start to get fuzzy...

May 10Fans speculate that a blind item about a recent celeb breakup involving cheating is about Mac and Ariana, and an Instagram commenter backs up the allegation.

May 13

Ariana and Pete are spotted arriving at a party together in New York. Ariana has a cloud-shaped phone case that matches one Pete was spotted with earlier.

May 17Mac Miller is arrested for DUI and hit and run in the San Fernando Valley after blowing nearly twice the legal limit.

May 18

Pete's tattoo artist Jon Mesa posts photos to Instagram of the "crazy coverup" he did on Pete's right tattoo sleeve the previous night. The coverup covers the tattoo of Cazzie he's had since at least April 2016.

May 21Pete and Ariana are "casually dating".

May 23Ariana tweets her statementcalling her relationship with Mac "toxic" and "scary".

Last week of MayCazzie goes to Botswana with her sister, evidenced by her Instagram story posts.

June 1

Ariana posts a photo with Pete on Instagram, apparently celebrating their relationship. However, the photo shows Pete without his new tattoo sleeve additions, meaning the photo had to be taken before May 17, when he covered up his tattoo of Cazzie.

June 2Ariana is spotted wearing what appears to be her engagement ring from Pete at iHeartRadio and 102.7 KIISFM's Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles.
June 2

Cazzie posts to Instagram, "Been in Africa, what'd I miss?"

June 3Tattoo artist London Reese posts a photo to Instagram of Pete's Dangerous Woman bunny mask tattoo.

June 11Pete and Ariana "are engaged."

June 12Pete's jeweller Greg Yuna reveals Pete ordered the ring "at the end of May" and that it took "two weeks" to make. Since Ariana was seen with the ring on June 2, this means the latest Pete could have made the call would have been around May 18, the same weekend he covered up his tattoo of Cazzie.

June 17Sources say Pete and Cazzie were on "an indefinite break at the time he fell for" Ariana.

Bonus Sleuthing!
Podcast Come To Brazil points out a video Cazzie David made for Vogue in 2017 where she describes an 8-week breakup plan she formulated after a breakup three years earlier. In the video, she identifies week 6 as the perfect time to "post that calculated, attractive selfie". Six weeks before her "Been in Africa, what'd I miss?" Instagram post, Pete played a poorly-received show at an Ohio college where he reportedly talked about his girlfriend who he'd "probably marry". The podcast questions whether, given Pete and Cazzie's and Mac and Ariana's documented relationship turbulence as early as January and the non-specific "indefinite break" and "time [Pete] fell for" Ariana, it's possible that he and Ariana were dating as early as April.

This was looking like it was going to be way more exciting when I was halfway through writing it than it ended up being, but some humble opinions from OP:

  • The public breakup of Mac and Ariana's relationship closely resembles that of her most recent previous public relationships (including Big Sean and dancer Ricky Alvarez)

  • Ariana apparently prefers to have a new relationship ready to present to the public before announcing her breakups (more on this in my Ariana Relationship Timeline post, coming soon! And with infographics!!).

  • It's pretty safe to assume this, along with Mac's role in her single promotion, is PR strategy.

  • It's also pretty obvious that Mac and Ariana were on the outs well before their official "breakup" date of May 9 and before Ariana confirmed the breakup on Instagram, as early as April but possibly even earlier.

  • Exactly when Pete and Cazzie split is less clear, but it's possible that her "bffs" post on May 4 could have similar intent to Ariana calling Mac her "best friend" in the Instagram story post where she confirmed their breakup.

  • Given the timing of Pete's tattoos and their photos together, it's obvious he and Ariana have been extremely close since mid-May at the very latest, before it was publicised that they were ever "dating casually"

  • The "official" date of the engagement also doesn't make much sense based on the jeweller's comments.

  • In this instance there's no smoking gun that either of them were cheating, but I think we can pretty safely say this is not a new couple alert.

After showing up to the MTV movie awards rocking her "Bo Derek" braids, Twitter users wasn't pleased with Ms. Kimberly Kardashian's look and called it once again what it is cultural appropriation.









Kim has already been facing backlash after many people began to question if daughter North West was wearing hair extensions on her 5th birthday.

Jon Bernthal to return to 'The Walking Dead' in season 9

Though AMC declined to comment, THR has confirmed that The Punisher star Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as Shane on The Walking Dead for one episode in the show's upcoming ninth season.

Shane was definitively killed in season 2, so a flesh-and-blood return in the current timeline is impossible. He could show up either in a flashback or hallucination/vision, though, as the show has used both in the past.

Tarek and Christina El Moussa are the hosts of Flip or Flop on HGTV, and filed for divorce back in 2017, and it was finalized in January of 2018. Christina is dating a new man, but Tarek maintains that he and the nanny are not romantically involved.
