Cyndi Lauper on performing with Kesha and equality for women

  • Pop icon Cyndi Lauper talked about singing onstage with Kesha at last night's Grammy awards. Kesha was joined by Lauper, Andra Day, Camilla Cabello, Bebe Rexha, and Julia Michaels.

  • "We were there to support Kesha." she remarked. "Time’s up on the power struggle,” she said.“Women need a safe work place, and it’s not one. We’re 51%, we need to stand together.”

  • She also talked about having a more equal workspace for men and women. “Equality is good for men too. Men need to get their heads out of their asses,” she said. “It’s smelly up there.” It’s also incumbent that people get educated on reasons the #metoo and #timesup movements are happening, she stressed. “Time’s up. We’ve had enough.”

  • Armie Hammer and Timothee Chamalet went on the French television program Quotiden to promote Call Me By Your Name.

  • Armie continues to insist that the 17 year old Ellio, portrayed by Chamalet, is not a child, and that he pursued Oliver of his own accord.

  • "In fact, you see that Ellio is more agressive and self-assured to say 'This is what I want.' There's no power dynamic that is unbalanced. It's just two human beings that genuinely fall for each other. Two legal aged human beings."

Riverdale's Asha Bromfield Interview with Teen Vogue

The good, gorgeous sis ASHANTI "ASHA" BROMFIELD (bookmark that name plz), Riverdale's Melody Valentine, drummer of the Pussycats, utterer of the iconic "cheese fries" line, wholly underrepresented on the show, deserves more screen time than Jughead...gave an amazing interview for Teen Vogue where she discussed diversity, the Pussycats' impact, and being able to wear her natural hair on screen.

-Is very close with her fellow Pussycats Ashleigh Murray (Josie McCoy) and Hayley Law (Valerie Brown)
-Would like to see Melody explored more three-dimensionally and given more backstory (drag those writers, sis)
-Originally auditioned for Josie, didn't think she'd get it because she's black. After Ashleigh got it, she didn't think they'd let the other Pussycats be black girls, and was very pleasantly surprised when she got a callback for Melody
-Enjoys acting on Riverdale as she's able to break stereotypes and not just be the one token black girl
-All three of the Pussycats have very different backgrounds (Hayley is biracial, Ashleigh is African-American, and Asha is Afro-Caribbean), which she says shows that not all black girls are the same
-The Pussycats represent black sisterhood in a predominantly white school
-Ashleigh and Hayley inspired Asha to start wearing her natural hair on the show, is grateful that the CW allows them all to do so

"I want girls to know that that’s not true anymore. You have the power to choose between whether or not you want to rock it natural. If you want to wear a weave and extensions, that’s cool, too. I don’t think anyone should be shamed for their choice, but it’s important to know that you do have a choice. Most importantly, love what makes you who you are no matter what."

-In regards to diversity in film and television:

"It’s important for people to know that we don’t have to give so much power to these people who are in power. We can create our own stories. You don’t have to rely on other people. It’s time that we pick up the pen and we start telling our own stories. Writing is a huge part of who I am and what I do. Right now I’m working on two feature films: Block-o and Imperial. It empowers me so much to see [that] I can actually be the change that I want to see in the world by writing my own characters and including people the way that I know them to be."

When most people moan the words "Daddy Bolton," they probably immediately think of Zac Efron's turn as Prince Troy Bolton in Disney's High School Musical. But it's actually Troy's father, played by Bart "No... you can't have Zac's number. Sorry." Johnson, who is making headlines this GRAMMYs weekend.

Johnson tells @Seventeen that he'd like a spin off starring his character and the head of the Drama Department.

The rest of the internet can't get enough of Coach Bolton. When MTV Australia put together a then & now of the HSM gang, they called him "Daddy AF". Buzzfeed ran a similar hard-hitting feature on their site. Coach Bolton's encouraging tweets to Zefron have also gone viral, along with an Instagram account that posts his photo every day,

Sharon Carter unlikely to appear in Infinity War

  • Emily Van Camp confirmed that Sharon Carter/Agent 13 won't be in Infinity War. The character was previously seen disappearing in the middle of the film after a "romantic" scene with Chris Evans' Captain America. The character was previously rumored to appear on ABC's failing Agents of SHIELD show.

  • She said Infinity War would be tough to get Sharon in. “It’s hard to fit Sharon into that, she’s really in Cap’s world,” she said. “She sort of fits into the Captain America movies, that’s where her sort of story lies, but I can tell you it’s going to be like an epic two-parter.”

  • This implies this is not the end of her story, however its very telling that the writers can't write her for shit they are not using her in what is already an overpopulated two-parter. Also its totally cool because Nat fills in the blonde female role....rme.

Would have been funny seeing her interact with Star Lord. And before you come for what you percieve as shitty acting, remember that a Marvel film isn't the high bar for talent.

'Wonder Years' Mom Says Show Was Canceled Because of "Ridiculous" Sexual Harassment Suit

$

Alley Mills, who played the mother on The Wonder Years, blames the show's cancellation after five seasons in 1993 on what she calls a "ridiculous" sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a former costume designer and dresser on the show against the actors who played her two sons, Jason Hervey and Fred Savage, who were aged 20 and 16 at the time.

Monique Long alleged that she was fired from the show for complaining to superiors about Hervey and Savage's sexual remarks about her and requests for an affair with her.

"When we shot the series finale…nobody knew whether or not 'The Wonder Years' was going to be renewed. And that's because of a completely ridiculous sexual harassment suit that was going on against Fred Savage — who is like, the least offensive, most wonderful, sweet human being that ever walked the face of the Earth."

"You know, they bought her off, which made me really mad. That was incorrigible that the network did that; they should never have paid her off. They wanted to avoid a scandal or something, but it made them look guilty. You know, you don't pay someone off when there was no crime, you just fire the girl," Mills says. She compares it to today's #MeToo movement: "It's a little bit like what's happening now — some innocent people can get caught up in this stuff; it's very tricky. It was so not true."

Asked about the lawsuit back in 1996, Savage said "I was completely exonerated. I really don't want to talk about it. It was a terrible experience."

A third man has come forward to accuse gay porn star Topher DiMaggio of violent rape

  • In the wake of previously published allegations by gay porn star Tegan Zayne and an anonymous individual not involved in the adult entertainment industry, a third man has come forward to accuse model Topher DiMaggio of "violent" rape

  • The man, who was identified by the pseudonym "Bryan" in an exclusive interview with blog Str8UpGayPorn, claims that in the summer of 2016 he met DiMaggio at a Sacramento nightclub, where he displayed "the same belittling attitude that [Zayne] described," and attempted to force Bryan into performing oral sex on the dancefloor

  • DiMaggio returned with Bryan to one of the latter's friends' houses, where he proceeded to follow Bryan into the bathroom and violently force himself inside of him, despite Bryan asking him multiple times to stop: "He just kept saying, 'It's fine, it's fine, it's fine.' And then he pulled my pants down all the way."

  • After 10-15 minutes, DiMaggio stopped and told Bryan that he had ejaculated inside him twice; at this point, Bryan left the house, and cried himself to sleep in his car

  • The next morning, Bryan saw that DiMaggio had busted his lip when he slammed him into the bathroom wall

In response to a question about the lack of recignition for female artists at this years Grammys, Recording Academy president Neil Portnow said this:

"It has to begin with...women who have the creativity in their hearts and souls, who want to be musicisans, who want to be engineers, producers, and want to be part of the industry on the executive level...[They need} to step up because I think they would be welcome. I don't have personal experience of those kind of brick walls that you face but I think it's upon us - us as an industry - to make the welcome mat very obvious, breeding opportunities for people who want to be creative and paying it forward and creating that next generation of artists."

Alessia Cara was the only solo female artist who received an award during the Grammys telecast tonight.
