Lil Wayne has come under fire recently for his controversial lyrics in the remix to Future's "Karate Chop". In the song near 3:05, Wayne says he is going to "Beat the pussy up like Emmet Till".
Emmet Till was a 14 year old boy who was taken from his home and brutally beaten and murdered after he allegedly flirted with a white woman. Since his passing, he has become a prominent figure from the civil rights movement.
Upon the backlash from media and Till's family, Epic Records has issued an apology stating they had not heard the lyrics before it leaked and have since pulled the song and commercially re-released a censored version. Wayne himself has not made any statements or apologies in regards to the matter.

Weight and the fashion model have been two topics joined at the hip bone for years. Recent Fashion Week cities have set forth bans against allowing too-thin models to walk down its runways. Progress has been made to ensure that healthy food and drinks are provided backstage at shows. And the subject of anorexia and its subsequent relation to the fashion world was slowly beginning to inch its way to our periphery. That is, until, Hedi Slimane sent one particularly gaunt-looking model down Saint Laurent's Paris runway. Here's the kicker. The model was male.
You might be surprised to know that male anorexics (sometimes cheekily called "manorexics") make up 20% of people suffering from eating disorders. Back in September, GQ ran an article following the lives of multiple men who starved themselves for various reasons: Their girlfriends broke up with them; they needed to meet a goal weight; they wanted to look like so-and-so — the reasons go on and on. Sound familiar? Like their female counterparts, male anorexics feel the influence of the fashion, music, and entertainment world to look a certain way. It's not the fashion world's fault necessarily, but it does "have a powerful influence that is highly toxic to some vulnerable people," according to ED awareness organization B-EAT spokesperson Leanne Thorndyke.
The male anorexic is still largely misunderstood. The number of treatment facilities available is limited, not in the least bit due to the stigma that only women live with the disorder. Often men will actually be denied from a rehab facility because the male gaze is considered to be one of the biggest roots of female anorexia. With Slimane's decision to cast this model, the question here isn't so much "why is he so thin?" or "should he be allowed to walk?" — rather, it's a question of how male models have been largely left out of fashion's increasingly present discussion of weight and body image. (The Daily Mail)
As far as casting news goes, this is about as good as it gets: Former Saturday Night Live superstar Kristen Wiig is set to make an appearance in Netflix’s anticipated Arrested Development revival as a younger version of Jessica Walter’s boozy matriarch Lucille Bluth.
As noted by Vulture, which first broke the news, AD leading man Jason Bateman likely orchestrated the casting coup, given his off screen friendship with Wiig (the pair co-starred in the comedies Extract and Paul).
Last month, Netflix announced that Arrested Development‘s 14-episode fourth season would be available sometime in May.
"A Different World" Star Lou Myers -- famous for playing Mr. Vernon Gaines on the 80s show -- has died, TMZ has learned.
The President of Lou's non-profit tells TMZ, Lou passed away last night in West Virginia at the Charleston Medical Center following a heart-related emergency.
Lou was hospitalized in December for pneumonia but released after New Year's. He collapsed at home a few weeks later and was hospitalized again.
Lou's heart stopped yesterday. Doctors were able to revive him, but he fell into a coma and passed just hours later. He was 77.
And yes, his Wikipedia and IMDb pages are incorrect. We're told he lied about his age. According to official records, Lou's birthday was September 26, 1935. As one source put it, "You know how actors are."
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the official cause of death.
We're told Lou -- who served in the Army -- will receive a military burial in West Virginia. He is survived by his son and his 95-year-old mother.
File it under the category of stars are just like us: a photographer captured Britney Spears in sweats on her way to the grocery store — with a list in her hands.
Yep, it seems Spears, like a lot of us, needs a list for the grocery store. But Spears’ list from her shopping trip last weekend has become a trending topic on Twitter.
Curious about what’s on the list?
The 31-year-old mother of two included ginger ale, tomatoes, Lunchables, ham, orange juice, 2 percent milk, bread and chicken.
What’s Next for Britney Spears?
Shopping wasn’t the only thing the pop star did this weekend. TMZ posted pictures of her golfing with a mystery man, the same man the website claims took her to dinner on Valentine’s Day.
According to TMZ, he’s a regular guy — not a celebrity — and fellow Southerner.
The singer’s rep did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s request for comment.
Spears broke off her engagement with her former agent, Jason Trawick, last month.
When will your faves have such an iconic grocery list?

Jennifer Lawrence's breasts have a "life of their own" and the Silver Linings Playbook actress believes people are interested in her natural assets because they are bouncy.
The 22-year-old actress is amused by her "bouncing" assets and she thinks people are interested in her boobs because they are 100 percent real.
She told website Heatworld: "I think people are fascinated with breasts that bounce. They are so used to seeing [fake ones].
"People are confused [that mine bounce]! My breasts have a life of their own."
It was only earlier this month the Silver Linings Playbook star revealed she is worried about her breasts being uneven.
Jennifer discovered she had unbalanced boobs when she had X-rays as part of her treatment for pneumonia and she was so concerned she asked her doctor for his professional opinion on her chest.
She previously said: "I went to the doctor, I got a chest X-ray of my lungs and discovered that my breasts are uneven.
"I was like standing there with these doctors and they're like looking at my lungs and I just couldn't - it felt like an elephant in the room - and I was like, 'Are my breasts uneven?' And they were just kind of, like, stifled and uncomfortable, obviously. So I kept thinking, 'Well, I'm gonna dig myself out of this hole by bringing it up again.'
"So he was like, 'All right, our radiologist will get back to you about your lungs.' And I was like, 'And my breasts?'"

WWE STAR JACK SWAGGER
for DUI & Pot
WWE star Jack Swagger was arrested last night in Mississippi, TMZ has learned -- after allegedly driving under the influence ... with pot in his car. Sources close to the situation tell TMZ, Swagger -- real name Jacob Hager -- was leaving a "Smackdown" taping at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi when he was pulled over for speeding.According to law enforcement, the officer who pulled him over determined Swagger was driving under the influence -- and a search revealed Swagger was in possession of marijuana.
We're told Swagger -- a former WWE World Heavyweight champ -- was taken in by local police officers ... and later released on his own recognizance.
He has been charged with DUI (not alcohol), marijuana possession, and speeding -- all misdemeanors.
We reached out to WWE, who tells TMZ, "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."
"Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions." = you in danger girl
P.S. Swagger, NICK CARTER called he wants his 1998 BSB hair back.

Billboard and Nielsen announced today the addition of U.S. YouTube video streaming data to its platforms, which includes an update to the methodology for the Billboard Hot 100, the preeminent singles chart.
The YouTube streaming data is now factored into the chart's ranking, enhancing a formula that includes Nielsen's digital download track sales and physical singles sales; as well as terrestrial radio airplay, on-demand audio streaming, and online radio streaming, also tracked by Nielsen.
Billboard is now incorporating all official videos on YouTube captured by Nielsen's streaming measurement, including Vevo on YouTube, and user-generated clips that utilize authorized audio into the Hot 100 and the Hot 100 formula-based genre charts– Hot Country Songs, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, R&B Songs, Rap Songs, Hot Latin Songs, Hot Rock Songs and Dance/Electronic Songs – to further reflect the divergent platforms for music consumption in today's world.
The most notable YouTube-influenced title this week is viral sensation "Harlem Shake" by producer Baauer, which debuts at No. 1 on both the Hot 100 and Streaming Songs charts and jumps 12-1 on Dance/Electronic Songs with 103 million views, according to YouTube. According to Nielsen, the "Harlem Shake" arrival also benefits from viral video-influenced sales of 262,000 downloads. That sales sum alone, good for a No. 3 ranking on Hot Digital Songs, would have placed the track within the top 15 on the Hot 100 without the inclusion of YouTube streams into the calculation.
Since Kurt Cobain committed suicide on April 5, 1994, Hollywood studios have released rock biopics based on the lives of Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Ian Curtis, Notorious B.I.G. and Bobby Darin -- and yet not Cobain. Save for "Last Days," Gus Van Sant's 2005 film about a singer not unlike Cobain (played by former "Boardwalk Empire" star Michael Pitt), the Nirvana frontman has been kept off the big screen. With '90s nostalgia in bloom, however, thanks to multiple boy band reunions and addictive reminders of the decade from websites like BuzzFeed, is the time right for Kurt Cobain: The Movie?
Kurt Cobain would have turned 46 on Feb. 20, 2012; he was 27 when he shot himself in his Seattle home. That means a Kurt Cobain movie could provide Hollywood's budding leading men with the type of opportunity usually only reserved for superhero films and sci-fi blockbusters: The chance at playing the role of a lifetime.
In the past, actors like Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson, Ewan McGregor and Jared Leto have been mentioned as possible onscreen incarnations of Cobain; Courtney Love, the singer's former girlfriend, who had a child with Cobain, reportedly wanted Gosling for the role. The charismatic star is now 32, however, and with no Kurt Cobain movie on the horizon in the near future, he'll be aged out of consideration by the time the project actually moves forward.
Moving forward, incidentally, has been the problem with the Kurt Cobain movie. The idea of biopic about the Nirvana singer has been floated around since 2007. At one point, Oren Moverman was attached to write and direct, but the script he turned in was apparently too offbeat for his bosses at Universal to accept.
"They told me, ‘We cannot support [your] wildly independent and unconventional approach to this movie,’" Moverman, who directed the 2009 drama "The Messenger," said to The Playlist in 2011. According to the director, the script (titled "This Is Gonna Suck") would have tracked the last seven years of Cobain's life, but did not include his suicide. "This is a guy who thought he sucked, but occasionally thought he was brilliant too," Moverman said of the screenplay. "The film would have been fragmented, but also examined what made him tick." Love was apparently a big fan of Moverman's work.
As for casting, the writer-director had considered Ben Foster, who starred in "The Messenger," for Cobain. "Ben was definitely on my mind for the part. He’s the actor of his generation," he said.
For her part, Love has apparently shifted away from the idea of making a Kurt Cobain feature film, instead commissioning a documentary. Brett Morgen, famous for "The Kid Stays in the Picture," was hired to make a Cobain movie back in November of last year, with Love's blessing.
"Courtney is the one that brought me into this,” Morgen told the New York Post last year. "We’ve been trying to find the right time to put this film together and the time is now... We are going to do the movie sort of like a third-person autobiography — [as] if Kurt was around and making a film about his life."
With the documentary now the focus of Love's efforts, however, the biopic might be even further out. Which doesn't mean it won't happen. With the right cast and marketing, rock star biopics have been proven winners at the box office: both "Ray" and "Walk the Line" -- about, respectively, Charles and Cash -- earned over $120 million worldwide and received multiple Oscar nominations and awards. Based on that track record alone, it's hard to imagine Cobain's story won't be fodder for the big screen -- it just might remain in utero for a little longer than fans would like.
Ryan Gosling (32)
Courtney Love's choice is probably too old to play Cobain, who died when he was 27.
Ezra Miller (20)
Kurt Cobain by way of Jim Morrison.
Aaron Tveit (29)
Perpetually on the cusp, Tveit -- with his background in Broadway musicals like "Next to Normal" and "Catch Me If You Can" -- would be the one Cobain choice who could do his own singing.
Aaron Taylor Johnson (22)
Aaron Taylor Johnson played a young John Lennon in "Nowhere Boy"; would it be so crazy to watch him tackle another music icon gone too soon?
Robert Pattinson (26)
"Isn't that so stupid, who would cast him?" Courtney Love said about Pattinson playing Cobain. "That's just wrong. No offense." So that's a no?
Jay Baruchel and Alison Pill were supposed to say "I do" five months ago, but didn't. What happened?
In a new interview with Victoria's Times Colonist, the groom-to-be revealed why his marriage to the 27-year-old "Newsroom" star never happened.
"Unfortunately, we're two busy people who are intrinsically lazy," Baruchel said. "So in our free time, the last thing we want to do is book flights and organize hotel rooms for people."
Baruchel admitted that while the duo had booked a Quebec ice winery for the big event in September 2012, the timing just didn't work out.
"But it'll happen at some point," he added.
The 30-year-old Ottawa native reportedly popped the question with a 180-year-old Victoria wedding band in Christmas 2010.
"When I gave it to her, I just said, basically, 'S--- or get off the pot,' " Baruchel told ET Canada. "I said, 'F--- it, will you marry me?'"
Just last year, the "Goon" star said he was "excited" about his upcoming nuptials, telling Us Weekly he would wear a kilt on the big day.
"Me and the groomsmen will all be wearing kilts!" Baruchel said proudly. "We'll be welcomed in by uilleann pipers. It will be a very small, 70 person wedding, just friends and family."
Pill has expressed a little more trepidation about her betrothal. The Toronto native told Vulture in July that planning a wedding was "the most stressful thing you can do."
"I would rather do live Aaron Sorkin than plan another wedding. Swear to God," she said. "Don’t do it. Anybody. Everybody should elope."
Sounds like a plan!
i know this is from a couple days ago, but he erased every mention of her on his twitter and his picture is now the cover art for "love will tear us apart," so i am thinking they may have actually broken up recently. It used to say "that schmuck Alison Pill is marrying" and now it just says "born to lose." this is sad. And Twitter is telling me her page is gone ...
EDIT: (thanks meggiebooboo)

Turns out the new “School of Thrones” concept — what if the Lannisters, Starks, and all their Westerosey/frenemies and enemies alike attended high school — involves some of our very favorite people on the Internet, including Joey Richter (Ron in the StarKid Harry Potter musicals), Mary Kate Wiles (Lydia in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries) and Maxwell Glick (Collins in The Lizzie Bennet Diaries).
This upcoming Web series is like a super pileup of fandom and geek culture: Game of Thrones in a Breakfast Club/Sweet Valley High setting? Starring StarKids and LBDers? So we got in touch with series producer Whitney Milam, who has lots of geek cred on her own (past LeakyCon attendee, Hunger Games parodier extraordinaire), who gave us an inside scoop on the spoofy series. Which of the Westeros clan will find themselves part of battling cliques? A lot of them. Here’s a full cast list:
Stannis Baratheon / Maxwell Glick
Melisandre / Marisha Ray
Loras Tyrell / Matthew Boehm
Renly Baratheon / Brendan Bradley
Theon Greyjoy / Joey Richter
Robb Stark / Nick Palatas
Margaery Tyrell / Whitney Milam
Sansa Stark / Mary Kate Wiles
Jon Snow / Austin Rogers
Dani Targaryen / Ashly Burch
Tyrion Lannister / Nic Novicki
Joffrey Lannister / Luke Morgan
The Hound / Matthew Mercer
Littlefinger / Michael Coleman
Varys / Sax Carr
Balon Greyjoy / Ken Napzok
Jaime Lannister / Joel Geist
Tywin Lannister / Greg Niebel
That doesn’t mean those are all the characters. Whitney let us know that Cersei and others will be represented in the future. Filmed on the UCLA campus, the story has been translated to Westeros Valley High. All the main characters are here, but not exactly as you know them: Renly is a quarterback who is secretly sleeping with Margaery’s brother, for instance.
The series is being developed first as three eight-or-so minute episodes starting March 10 and leading to the March 31 premiere of the next season of the HBO smash series. Prom night is coming. And from the looks of it, some crazy stuff is going to happen.

The favorite "Bikul Tribe" won immunity!
Allie was the first fan, and second person voted out of the game.
I'm enjoying this season so far. I honestly don't remember Allie even getting a confessional though or I'm just having a hard time telling her, Laura, and Hope apart. Completely forgettable.
I do like Laura a lot more after tonight's episode.
“Jennifer Lawrence: Exhausted and Angry,” blares a headline from Star, which claims the Oscar nominee’s “whirlwind success” has “left her on the verge of burning out.”
A purported “pal” of the actress tells the tabloid, “She’s utterly exhausted from endless interviews, traveling nonstop and four hours of sleep a night.”
The magazine alleges that Lawrence “recently broke down in tears during a quick trip to London,” quoting the so-called “friend” as saying, “She’s completely overwhelmed and irritable and is fighting with everyone.”
Star says one of the victims of Lawrence’s supposed wrath is her Hunger Games co-star, Josh Hutcherson.
The “insider” claims, “She recently exploded on poor Josh and says their friendship ‘is so f**king over.’”
“They don’t even make eye contact unless they’re shooting a scene,” adds the “pal.”
This is an interesting story coming from the same outlet which FALSELY reported that Hutcherson was harassing Lawrence last year.
Of course, just like that pervious tale, this one is complete nonsense.
A source close to Hutcherson tells Gossip Cop the mag’s claim of a bust-up between him and Lawrence is “a complete fabrication.”
And a Lawrence insider assures us the actress is coping fine with the awards season hoopla.
On the eve of the Brit Awards, blonde babes Rita Ora and Iggy Azalea stepped out in style to Nick Grimshaw’s first annual award season dinner at Hix in London. The “R.I.P.” singer rocked a fur shall, while the Australian rapper wowed in orange. The ladies dined with some of the U.K.’s biggest stars including Tinie Tempah, One Direction’s Harry Styles, and Mark Ronson.
“im going to admit openly i had a fucking amazing time at @grimmers dinner tonight!!! arghhhhhhhhhh i love my friends!” tweeted Iggy, who signed a new deal with Mercury Records in the U.K.

Culture Club singer-songwriter credits portion control and cutting out sugar and bread for helping him drop the pounds.
Say hello to the new Boy George.
The 51-year-old Culture Club singer-songwriter has become the latest celebrity to undergo a dramatic weight loss thanks to a shift to healthy eating. This week, he posted a photo to Twitter showing off his new thin frame, crediting the transformation to "portion control, 5-hour gaps between meals, no coffee or tea, except at meals. No bread or sugar. Water & fizzy water between meals!"
On his Twitter, Boy George also said:

Yeah, so this should answer the "What happened? Is he sick?" questions some people were saying in the Brit Awards Thread. (kinda can't believe there is no Boy George thread, tbh.
At least he did not claim "partial veganism" a la Beyonce. ;)
