This list is comprised of songs that you would've wanted videos but for whatever reason the artists just didn't make one for it
Lovers & Friends - Usher, Ludacris and Lil' Jon
Lovers and Friends was a hit as soon it came out in 2004 where it topped on the Billboard 100 at #3. I remember they were talking about that they were going to make a video and album together but obviously that didn't happen.
Magic Stick - Lil' Kim featuring 50 Cent
This jam (it hit the Billboard 100 at #2, won a Grammy and sold 2 million copies) would've had a video if it wasn't for 50 cent being an asshole. But they did perform the song in 2011 at a
50 Cent concert.
FYI – Trina was originally going to be on the the track but 50 didn't think she was suited for the song so he sent it to Lil' Kim.
Amnesia– Justin Timberlake
Most people had mixed feelings for Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience – 2 of 2 but
I believe everyone said and thinks this was by far the best song off of the album (especially the last 2 minutes). Speaking as a fan, this song should've been a single (along w/
Cabaret) and had a video instead of the blah songs like
TKO and
Take Back the Night. All his singles off this album accept Not a Bad Thing were horrible choices.
FYI – He only preformed this song once and it was on the
BBC Angel in Disguise– Brandy
Produced by Darkchild and backing vocals of Joe,
Angel in Disguise is a underrated gem by Brandy that would've been great w/ a video.
Nothin' Even Matters– Lauryn Hill and D'Angelo
My second favorite song from The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (my favorite is
Ex Factor). The song is so beautifully made and sung with the soothing voices of Lauryn and D'Angelo.
FYI – This song won the Grammy in 1998 for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals
Sweetest Goodbye– Maroon 5
Since I really don't care much of their songs now (I do like
Sugar), I chose one off of
Songs about Jane (their best album tbh) and would've basically chose almost all the songs that didn't have video from this album
FYI - Sweetest Goodbye was featured in the (meh) 2003 British film Love Actually
How Deep is Your Love– Keith Sweat
There were so many other songs by Keith Sweat that I could've chose (like almost all of the songs off of his
debut album) but I chose this one because I prefer this over the others.
Stingy– Ginuwine
One of Ginuwine's best song should have had a great video (like his video
Differences).
FYI - This song was also in the movie Barbershop and on the soundtrack.
Silly Ho– TLC
TLC only made 3 videos off of their 3rd album
Fanmail, it was would've been nice if they made one for this song or made it over
Dear Lie (I like the song but I didn't really care for the video. Also it was only exclusive to foreign countries and MTV UK)
Beauty– Dru Hill
Off the Enter the Dragon album, I believe the Beauty is the stand out song on the album. This song deserves a great video like
These are the TimesFYI - The songs appears in the movie The Best Man
