My 1 Year Of Being A Devoted Miley Cyrus Fan

Before you all start, I would just like to say read the title carefully. The use of the word “my” is crucial to this story. Everything I’ve experienced this year was based on what I have seen and learned and done for Miley Cyrus. I’m not here to deter you away from her. I’m simply doing what I feel is best for a bunch of teenagers and young adults who depended on a pop star for happiness at some point in their life. I’m doing this because 1) it is not fair for me to have this all on my conscious and 2) I’m tired of staying quiet and this seems to be the only thing that’ll work.

I’ve loved Miley for a really long time. It wasn’t until 2013 though, that I really got into the Twitter aspect of loving her (which is completely superficial). I met a lot of people this past year, people that I absolutely love and I’m beyond grateful that I met because we all had a common interest and created a stronger bond through this interest. Meeting these people however made me increasingly popular throughout the Miley fanbase (something I do very much regret). I met Yermar in October because she had wanted to get Miley to tweet me. She dmd me on a October 9th with her number attached telling me to text her. I didn’t know her, I actually didn’t even know she was a girl until 2 weeks later. But she had saw something in me and she thought I deserved to get noticed and 3 days later that’s exactly what happened. Yermar and I continued to stay friends after she accomplished what she wanted and on November 1st I had pitched the idea for a birthday video. This birthday video single handedly flipped my year upside down.

My personality is quite strange. When I want something, I get it. When I want to accomplish something, I do it. This birthday video was something I dedicated myself to from November 1st to November 24th. This means I slacked in school, I skipped the gym (if you know me you know I always go to the gym) and I was very negligent to my real life. Throughout those 3 weeks I met even more people. From all the accounts Miley follows to the majority of the fans and friends I have and know right now. Fast forward and Miley tweets the video and tweets me. From then on I completely blew up and became some sort of enemy/hero to the Miley fanbase. Everyone had thought I either didn’t or did deserve her attention.

This was a very rough time for me. I may seem like I don’t care but I actually do seeing as I apologized to everyone who had been cut from the video. Another 2 days later and Miley retweets me. Everyone became convinced that she knew me and liked my account so they had either spoke to me or hated on me.

Fast-forward to December: Yermar asks me to co-own gypsyhearttour. I was shocked but she had insisted and thought I was the only one suitable to help her. I agreed on only one circumstance: I go anonymously and no one can know I’m also on the account. I wanted to do that because I felt like I would get hated on even more and wanted to avoid the whole situation. After all, I did get everything handed to me from a tweet to a Miley follow and I don’t deny that. I knew why everyone may have been mad but I accepted it and moved on. Eventually we couldn’t hide it and it became known I also ran gypsyhearttour. I changed the entire account and added my own personal taste and it caught a lot of attention; even from Miley herself. I still remember the first time she tweeted me on that account and I was shaking too hard to reply. Yermar had to practically yell at me to get over it and type up a response.

Christmas Day, my friend (who will go unnamed because he/she is someone I don’t want to be interrogated) decided to give me a little gift. It was Miley’s cellphone number. I didn’t believe it was her until I made sure of it. But that’s another story for another time. Having her number put me in a very uncomfortable position. I wanted to dm her and tell her to change it but I just didn’t have the balls back then like I do now and you will see how I do shortly. I kept her number, I had my fun with it and I had my fun with gypsyhearttour for the next 3 months. The account didn’t go a week without being tweeted and retweeted by Miley and it was a wonderful feeling. I loved helping my friends and strangers who became my friends and I loved talking to Miley. I felt like I had a real, strong connection with her. This connection started to become a horrible reality as the Bangerz Tour started.

Since the tour started I immediately started to feel a shift in Miley’s mood.
She wasn’t as kind as she use to be on twitter and direct messages. She didn’t want to say much and started to become sketchy. I dismissed it throughout February and assumed it was just a phase. By March: it got worse. She met Wayne Coyne (which ironically is a fan’s fault but that’s another story) and starts this new psychedelic phase and created a whole new image for herself. I didn’t understand but I didn’t protest it; not until months later at least. I just kept doing my bid as gypsyhearttour aka Miley Cyrus News and kept my opinions to myself on MuneraIsFab. People didn’t like that of course. They thought I was being two-faced by tweeting Miley positive things on GHT and “dragging” her on MuneraIsFab. But what was I supposed to do? I knew my place as a fan account and I know my place as a person with rights and freedom of speech.

April 1st: Floyd died. It was a shock but I honestly thought Miley would sort of get better and get out of the phase she was in between February-March. Little did I know it would get worse and I would find out horrible stuff. Things had gone from bad to worse with Miley and I was barely scraping by in my actual life. Everything started to come down on me and the one person that supported me and put me up was collapsing herself and I didn’t know how to take it. I just kept showing her love and support. Telling her what was important on Twitter and distracting her from all the negativity that was on my timeline. Everyone insulted everything from her hair to the way she posted pictures of herself. I knew she saw all of it and didn’t want it affect her in any way. She got sick and she hated when I showed her the negative headlines. If there’s one thing I learned, Miley hates being told she’s wrong or she can’t do something. She doesn’t handle it correctly and reacts very childish.
Fast-forward to May and I honestly didn’t think Miley would still be upset about Floyd. I didn’t understand why she dragged it and why she keeps dragging it on this long until now.

If you’ve been reading this long I guess here’s the part where it gets a little interesting.

The night of June 1st TheMCdoll had leaked a photo extremely tagged

. I was annoyed and I wanted the untagged HQ version so I could use it for a Twitter pack on gypsyhearttour. I got my friend Jared to dm him on his account since he was following and he responded dryly to him and denied Jared’s request. I tweeted him on my personal and he ignored it so I did what I always do when it comes to Miley fans on twitter: speak to them using gypsyhearttour. They always seemed to listen and do whatever I asked them to and never took advantage of it. I just used it to get what was needed and that was that. When I had spoke to TheMCdoll (his name is Luiz and no not LuizJozeMonster) he had kindly said he wish he could but his friend would get extremely angry if he had found out he leaked anything he gave him. His friend was apart of SmilerSource who was ran by themctimes and got gotten exclusives from her.

Since Luiz had said no I didn’t really mind because he was sweet so I continued to talk to him. I told him I didn’t want to get dm limit on gypsyhearttour so he could text me if he wishes. We took our conversation to Whatsapp where we bonded over discussing themctimes and her source of info. I knew she had been accessing Tish’s email but I didn’t know it was as bad as it actually was. Luiz had told me she had access to Tish’s iCloud and Miley’s iCloud. And for those of you who don’t know how serious an iCloud is I’ll quickly explain it.

TheMCtimes having access to Miley’s iCloud meant she could receive every single picture she took, every video she recorded, every text she received and sent out, her phone contacts, her emails and so on. And if you guys didn’t know: Miley has over 20,000 videos and pictures in her iCloud. So you could only imagine what she obtained. One thing you may have heard of was themctimes bragging about having her sextape. At first, I thought it was bullshit. How could she possibly receive a sextape through an email? But as I dug deeper on June 1st I suddenly became trapped in the reality of the situation I was in.
Luiz had told me he had tried several times to email and contact Miley but all she had done was disregard his emails and blocked his phone number. I told him of course, Miley doesn’t believe shit unless you provide proof. I told him I could help him but all I needed was enough proof to show Miley that this wasn’t a joke. Luiz had then said his friend (the guy who is friends with themctimes and use to work for SmilerSource) has access to Tish’s stuff and would try to get the log ins so we could further prove to Miley that people were invading her privacy.

We had taken our conversation from Whatsapp to Skype because he wanted me to listen to ‘Last Goodbye’ and also wanted to show me the Bangerz outtakes. As I was looking through this stuff I was amazed and became happy but also felt terrible only I could view and listen to these exclusives. I immediately began to wonder how leak blogs kept all of this amazing stuff themselves and didn’t think once about leaking it so everyone could enjoy it with them.

As I was looking through, Luiz had realized he still had his friends email password and wanted to look through it and see if he got any emails regarding the Cyrus’s and their log in info.

I told him to do it as I continued looking at pictures. Suddenly my skype started to blow up and I looked down to see over 10 messages. Luiz had found an email with an attachment from themctimes containing 15 log ins of Tish Cyrus and her family.
He immediately sent me the folder and I opened it confused. Each login had a description, a website link, user and password. I started off with the top first checking through if all of them were real. I entered Tish’s, Cheyne’s, Miley’s etc. work email. Then I entered mileycyrus.com. Then I entered Brian Bowen’s website containing outtakes of Miley and so on.
The last log in was confusing to me I didn’t know what me.com was and had to google it. When I realized it was iCloud I copy and pasted Tish’s info and logged in. In front of me was Tish’s email, phone contacts, notes etc. I started off looking at her phone contacts. From Nick Jonas to Britney Spears I was shocked she was exposing so many celebrities. Once I finished looking through the phone contacts I looked at her email.
Before I continue, I know what some of you may be thinking: why the fuck would you invade her privacy like that? 1) There’s over 15 people invading her privacy that don’t plan on doing the right thing 2) Tish isn’t a good person.

From 3am to around 7am I sat down reading emails after emails. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. It felt too bad to be true but it was the truth and it came to me too fast in one night. I’m not really going to go in depth into what I saw in Tish’s email and I’m not going to release any photos. If I wanted to do something to Tish and her family I could just sell whatever I have. But I wanted to do the right thing and tell Miley to make her mother change her password. I also wish I could tell her to fire her mother because she’s an irresponsible, negligent, crazy bomb shell but that’s besides the point. Once I stopped reading the emails I couldn’t sleep. I had a mixture of guilt, sadness, anger and more guilt pent up inside of me and I grew anxious for anyone or everyone to wake up so I can figure out what I could do to make this all go away. I called my friends when they woke up and explained to them what had happened. They were sad but also excited about the song and the pictures. Everyone I explained it to didn’t really seem to feel or react the way I reacted. I didn’t know if it was because I stayed up all night reading everything firsthand or if it was because only I genuinely cared for her. I took the latter and went about thinking it was because I experienced it first hand.

June 1st 12pm my time 6pm Miley’s time I decided it was time to try and tell her. She retweeted gypsyhearttour and was voting for #MileyForMMVA after I had told her about the nomination and voting rules. I started off by saying to her that what I had to tell her was important and that it’s crucial she replies when she is free. She replied an hour later saying what? And I realized she had a concert that night. I responded telling her I don’t want to tell you now seeing as you have a show and I don’t want you to have this on your mind but I assure you you’d want to hear this. She then replied again asking me to explain myself and I ignored her message. Miley’s persistent and if I continued to fight her off she would get upset.

After the show she was posting pictures with Braison partying and if there’s anything I hate is trying to communicate with Miley when she is either drugged up or drunk. I didn’t send her a message until just before I went to bed at 4am my time and 10am her time apologizing for ignoring her and telling her we could talk when I wake up. When I woke up I saw she tweeted 20 minutes before but didn’t respond to the message. I also saw she unfollowed Diane Martel so I quickly logged into the emails to see why and I found out Diane had temporarily quit which upset Miley. I immediately messaged her saying I know she unfollowed Diane and she’s upset but what I have to say can’t wait any longer. Almost 2 hours later I checked the messages to see the response below.

1) I didn’t mention a sex tape. 2) I didn’t mention mctimes

The response is self explanatory I don’t want to get into the meaning behind it and what happened afterwards

. But you could see by her tone she wasn’t happy about the entire situation and neither was Tish. It took Tish about 10 hours later to change her info which is easily still obtainable. But don’t get me started on how much of an airhead that woman is.

They launched a further investigation and the rest is history. I dropped the investigation as you all know on my birthday and leaked Last Goodbye and the majority of the pictures I had. I thought: why am I going to sulk in this bitter reality of one of my favorite people on earth and let the people who still saw her as a perfect person begin to dislike her like I began to? I wanted to give everyone a reason to be happy and that’s exactly what I did. I may have got in trouble for it but it was worth it and I would do it again and again.

I also left gypsyhearttour the beginning of June but didn’t officially announce it on my birthday. I couldn’t take knowing Miley was so mistreated in her actual life and everyone around her was awful to her and not being able to reach out and help her(LOL). It was either I drop the account or I risked dming her something too strong and risking her follow.
As soon a so dropped gypsyhearttour and Miley in general I became quite happy in my life. I was enjoying everything and going back to my old habits and watching the World Cup. Everyone kept asking me why I stopped talking about her but I thought it was stupid to explain myself. I didn’t want to make anyone dislike her or hate her and I sure as hell didn’t wanna sell her out. But everything started to come back up again once I had saw her tweets to LuizJozeMonster, a good friend of mine gypsyhearttour had gotten Miley to follow.

(here's the tweets that started the drama)

I may not know Miley but I do know her more than any of you do. What she did was out of characteristic and the Miley in the months previous would’ve direct messaged if she had a problem with anything the accounts she followed tweeted.
I took it upon myself to help Luis and helped him create an apology letter for Miley. But I also took it upon myself to try and make you guys understand there’s 2 sides to every story. None of you know what the people Miley follows go through it’s a lot of pressure. I remember when Miley followed Luis I immediately told him to make sure not to be afraid and not act like himself. I know he took that the wrong way and I told him numerous times to delete his tweets and to stop doing certain things because Miley is watching. I felt at fault because I helped Luis get that follow and I helped him with his posts a lot.

Yermar also wasn’t happy with what Miley had done to Luis. We both knew it was condescending and rude of her to put him on blast but there was nothing I could do but voice my opinion of my own account. I quit gypsyhearttour 3 weeks before and have no plans going back especially not to argue with Miley. Yermar Dmd Miley today telling her what she had done was wrong and Luis was being brutally attacked by people on twitter and Instagram and she should say something to make them stop. It’s ironic that Miley wanted Noah (who really is a sad little girl) to stop getting hate but wanted him to get hate with her. And you guys can say that wasn’t her intention but like I said: I know the girl very well and she isn’t stupid.

I mentioned earlier Miley hates being told no or she is wrong. She unfollowed Yermar/gypsyhearttour but not Luis. She did that because after reading the emails between Tish, her management, her attorney, her publicists, Diane Martel, her friends, ex fiancée etc. I realized she is like a land mine. Step on her the slightest bit and she will explode and tell you to fuck off. I saw first hand the people around her were even too scared tell her what she was doing wasn’t right. From Wrecking Ball to simply rubbing herself on the 4x4 in Love Money Party live performance, her mother and team debated them all. They each would take turns telling her slowly and calmly that she would have to minimize it. And Miley being Miley, she just maximizes it.

Despite what any of you say or what Miley says she isn’t the strongest person and she isn’t the most mature and well thought out. Reading those emails and finally figuring out everything from her fallen engagement to her parents divorce I came to see that Miley literally has no one in her life supporting her. Everyone is equally a mess. Now that I think about it I know why she was so devastated Floyd died, it was because he was the only thing on this planet that loved her unconditionally and didn’t judge her.

One thing I do applaud Miley for is: although she has the same amount of problems as stars like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez: she hides it well. She doesn’t let her personal life get out and when it does she handles it head on. Themctimes having access to her stuff and even ME having access to her stuff is a danger. I tried my best to do what was right and not let it get out but eventually it will get out. As you can see: videos of Justin Bieber making fun of black people and the KKK leak out. And as Miley’s career goes on damaging pieces such as that (hopefully not racism) will get out and there’s nothing we can do about it. This stuff is valuable and expensive and I hope they seize it eventually.

Everything that has came to me this past year from a tweet, Miley’s phone number to her mothers email isn’t something I went looking for. Everyone in this fanbase Dms me and tells me stories and insiders and I keep a lot of shit to myself because I know everyone would be upset if they got out. I don’t look for this stuff really and truly.

To wrap this all up I would just like to thank you all for the support you’ve given me throughout this year. I would’ve never thought June 19th last year watching the We Can’t Stop video I would come to know that girl through my screen so well and even hold conversations with her weekly. It’s sad because I went from crying for about 30 minutes because all she tweeted me was “I ❤️ this so much!!!!” To almost crying because I wanted her to go to therapy and she wouldn’t listen to me or she was complaining to me about being stuck in the hospital. Things change and you should all count your blessings. If she hasn’t tweeted you yet, believe me you’re lucky and believe me if you work as hard as I did she will one day. And if she has, be happy because that’s all you need from her. I don’t want any of you to make the mistakes I did with getting so personally invested with a celebrity who in all reality: doesn’t give a fuck about you. And you shouldn’t be mad about that because Miley doesn’t owe any of us shit. Love her professional career, love her interviews and love her music. But don’t you dare question your love for her if you don’t know the actual sadness that comes along with Miley Cyrus and her life. This is a very condensed and censored story. I’m not a leak blog and if I wanted to be one I could’ve easily became one. I’m not interested once again in selling someone out for internet fame. I’m interested In being happy with my life again and actually enjoying my day and not having to worry about what Miley messages me. Thank you guys again I hope you enjoy reading this and I hope you all continue supporting her. You can ask me questions and I’ll be happy to answer.

PS: 5 years from now or even maybe 1 year from your Miley Cyrus accounts won’t mean shit and her follow won’t mean shit. Love y’all LMAO

former american apparel ceo dov charney was recently booted from his high-ranking position in the world of shopping mall ready-to-wear after years of rumblings regarding sexual misconduct and inappropriate behaviour. that doesn't mean that there still aren't some choice memories left inside of dov's closet!

featured talking on a cellphone to someone else, a new leaked video shows dov charney swaying with steps inspired by LMFAO's sexy-and-i-know-it shuffle and how your dad dances. female spectators to dov's private dance mumble and giggle awkwardly while he tries to coax a reaction. adding heat to the steaming pot regarding dov's tenure as ceo of the fashion outlet, some say that the females featured - perhaps reluctantly — are or were employees of american apparel.

Sienna Miller Joins Bradley Cooper in Weinstein Co.’s ‘Chef’

Actress Sienna Miller will co-star with former sexiest man alive Bradley Cooper in the upcoming Weinstein Company backed film, Chef, reports Variety.

Also on board is French actor Omar Sy and John Wells (August Osage County) will serve as the director. The movie, not to be confused with actor/director Jon Favreau's recently released film at SXSW by the same name, will be about "a chef who gathers a crew in an attempt to create the best restaurant ever."

Sony Pictures, which controls this Chef film, had sent a cease-and-desist letter to Favreau's camp last year asking that they change the name, but that request clearly didn't happen. The project has been in the works for quite a while and was first reported back in 2012. Maybe they're hoping that by the time the movie is finally released people will forget that there's already another film by the same name.

Wells, Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher and Erwin Stoff are producing.

The food industry has been receiving attention in Hollywood.

This project marks a re-team for Miller and Cooper, who just wrapped production on the Clint Eastwood pic “American Sniper.”

Miller is filming the Warner Bros. mob film “Black Mass", which she will follow with the Ben Wheatley pic “High Rise.” Miller also has a handful of films set to bow later this year — including “Mississippi Grind” and “Foxcatcher,” which recently bowed at Cannes to rave reviews.

General Hospital Welcomes Soap Royalty!

How cool is this! When ABC's General Hospital needed to fill the role of a garage mechanic who holds vital information about a hit-and-run crash, they hired a real life car expert from Detroit, Michigan — 52-year-old Mazda product specialist Duncan Hursley. But that's not Hursley's only claim to fame. He's also the grandson of GH's late, great creators, Frank and Doris Hursley! TV Guide Magazine got the scoop on his cameo appearance, airing Friday, June 27.

TV Guide Magazine: How does it feel to see your grandparents'"created by" credit still on every episode of GH?

Hursley: It's really amazing. Their names also continue to appear on every script that's printed up at the studio, which is so wonderful. This is all very surreal for me. I was born in 1962, just a year before GH premiered and I started following it when I was in kindergarten.

TV Guide Magazine: Wow, that sure must warp a kid!

Hursley: [Laughs] I remember sitting in the den with my grandmother every day as she ironed and watched GH, and I'd eat my sandwich and watch right along with her. At one point she expressed some concerns to my mother. "Don't be upset with me, but I think Duncan is really following along on these plotlines!" Those were the great years of Jessie and Phil. By the mid-'70s, I had a mad crush on Dr. Lesley Webber. [Laughs] I vividly remember her tossing Cameron Faulkner down those stairs!

TV Guide Magazine: And you've stayed a loyal viewer ever since?

Hursley: Actually, no. I'd fallen way from watching GH for a number of years but all of a sudden I was hearing in the news about soaps being cancelled left and right. All My Children and One Life to Live were gone and there was concern that GH might not make it, either. I thought, "Jeez, it would be a crime if my grandparents' show didn't make it to the big 50th anniversary." So I tuned in to check it out about a year and a half ago — just after [executive producer] Frank Valentini and [head writer] Ron Carlivati took over — and couldn't believe it! With one episode I was hooked again and haven't missed the show since. Frank and Ron have done a fantastic job.

TV Guide Magazine: And now you're costarring with Jason Thompson and Kelly Monaco!

Hursley: And, man, it was such a thrill. And so hard to believe. [Laughs] It felt like I was walking right into my own TV set.

TV Guide Magazine: The plot has Patrick and Sam visiting an auto-repair shop where your character, Mechanic Bill, coughs up confidential client info about the car that hit Patrick and Sabrina. Thank God we're finally getting to the bottom of this!

Hursley: Frank was very generous and put a lot of thought into the scene and the role. Of course, I can't reveal much but there's an element on the set that eagle-eyed viewers are going to love. It was so much fun. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

TV Guide Magazine: How'd this happen?

Hursley: I was in town doing the L.A. Auto Show last November, and reached out to Valentini. We met and spent a lot of time together at the studio, and he invited me to come on the show. A few weeks ago, they got in touch and made it official.

TV Guide Magazine: This gig isn't totally out of the blue for you, right? Don't you do some acting in Detroit?

Hursley: In my younger years I did a lot of theater. I have some commercials running locally and, occasionally, a film comes through town. The new Batman-Superman movie is ramping up to shoot in Detroit all summer and I have a callback for that. But it's just a sideline. I'm now 15 years with Mazda. I did spend most of the '90s in L.A., waiting tables and getting some soap work here and there. I did an under-five role as a waiter at the Penthouse Grill on Days of Our Lives and that turned into a four-year run. One day, Louise Sorel (Vivian) started calling my character "Claude" and it just caught on.

TV Guide Magazine: And you had great connections at Santa Barbara, right? Your aunt, Bridget Dobson, created that show with her husband, Jerry.

Hursley: I did do an under-five role at Santa Barbara — I was on a team of environmental activists working with Dash Nichols [Timothy Gibbs] and had a scene with the amazing Nancy Grahn [Julia] — but it happened during the time that the Dobsons were locked out of the studio.

TV Guide Magazine: That was the single craziest thing I've ever witnessed in 500 years of covering soaps. They put up a picture of Bridget at the NBC guard gate that said: "Do NOT let this woman on the lot." She was banned from her own show!

Hursley: I remember seeing that in the Hollywood Reporter. I couldn't believe what I was reading! Our side of the family didn't know Bridget. She and my dad, Frank, Jr. were half-siblings. I believe she would have thought my dad was pretty brilliant but they never met. It's too bad. [Logan note: The Hursley-Dobson family history is riveting and a soap unto itself! You can get all the scoop in this great piece at Michigan Today]

TV Guide Magazine: So you never met Bridget, either?

Hursley: Just once. She and Jerry came into a restaurant where I was working. I knew what she looked like because I saw her get up on stage and grab an Emmy.

TV Guide Magazine: That was the second craziest thing in soap history! Santa Barbara won the best show Emmy after Bridget and Jerry were booted out, and we all watched her dash to the stage and grab that trophy before the new exec producer, Jill Phelps, knew what hit her. Crazy times. So what happened when you spotted her at this restaurant?

Hursley: I thought, "Wow, that's Bridget and Jerry and that must be my cousin, Andrew. I can't let this pass." So I went up to them at their table toward the end of their meal and put out my hand to her and said, "Bridget Dobson?" She looked at me with those Hursley eyes. The emotion was all in my throat and I said, "I just want to say hello. I'm Duncan Hursley." And about all she could manage to say was, "How did you know who we were?" That was pretty much it for our conversation.

TV Guide Magazine: Yikes. Well, the Dobsons were always the oddest of ducks but they made spectacular TV. Nothing was better than when Santa Barbara was at its best.

Hursley: I was a huge fan of Santa Barbara. When the Dobsons were writing it, it was a riot and unlike any other show on the air. My hat's off to them because I thought their work was brilliant.

TV Guide Magazine: Back to GH, what would your grandparents think of their show now?

Hursley: Oh, I think they'd be so proud and pleased as punch that GH is still on the air and looking so strong and vital right now. And I think they'd really appreciate the blending of the legacy characters from years ago with all of the newer characters of today. I think they'd also appreciate how hard it is to make a soap today, what with the time restraints and tight budgets, because they were really hard workers themselves. There was one point in the late '50s when Frank and Doris were writing more hours of programming than anyone else in television. Even later, when they started GH, they were also still writing Search for Tomorrow and then a few years later, while they were still writing GH, they started yet another soap, Bright Promise. Their creativity and output was mind-numbing!

Steve Burton on His Young and the Restless Daddy Bombshell!

For many months now, fans of CBS's The Young and the Restless have been led to believe that villainous self-help guru Ian Ward is the biological father of war vet Dylan McAvoy. But, as some savvy viewers have suspected, that's just not the case!

In episodes airing this week, it will become clear that Dylan — played by Emmy winner and current nominee Steve Burton — is actually the son of Genoa City detective Paul Williams. To get the scoop, TV Guide Magazine sat down for a chat with Burton, one of the most disarming — and controversial — actors in soaps.

TV Guide Magazine: So how are things in Avery's kitchen?

Burton: Hey, watch it. We're done with all that cooking stuff! It's over! No more! [Laughs] I got no man parts left!

TV Guide Magazine: I still can't believe Dylan and Avery actually had a scene where they discussed whether or not she should wear an apron. Was that the ultimate challenge of your acting career?

Burton: Yes, it was. And, gee, thanks for the...support.

TV Guide Magazine: But now you've got a real storyline! Let's discuss. Dylan being Paul's kid instead of Ian's should shake up a lot of relationships in GC, no?

Burton: This affects everybody and that's when you know it's a great story. As we've already found out, Dylan and Paul have the same blood type and finally the news comes out that Paul is his dad, which is obviously a big shocker.

TV Guide Magazine: Except to those who have seen this coming a mile away. We've been getting hints of a much deeper Paul-Nikki connection for quite some time now.

Burton: The audience was guessing this eight months ago. "Paul is your dad!" And I'm, like, "No, he's not. My dad is Ian Ward!" I only found out about this a couple of months back, and I was very excited.

TV Guide Magazine: Dylan and Paul have never had much of a connection, so this could be interesting.

Burton: This is whole new territory for those two and for many others. You're going to see how this affects Paul and Nikki, and Paul and Christine, and Victor and Nikki. Do not miss these episodes, people!

TV Guide Magazine: How will Dylan react to having a new daddy?

Burton: Well, for one thing his PTSD is going to sneak back in.

TV Guide Magazine: But isn't this good news?

Burton: This is so much better than having Ian Ward for a dad and, when things settle, I think Dylan and Paul can do this. [Laughs] Hey, Paul can't solve a crime to save his life but, you know, it's gonna be fine. Does Victor know that Paul and Nikki had a roll around in the hay all those years ago?

TV Guide Magazine: I'm not even sure the audience knows about it. This seems to be new information. What'll happen with Paul and Christine's plan to have a child, now that Paul suddenly has one?

Burton: Dylan will go to Christine and say, "Hey look, Mom, it's me! A little older than you wanted but..." And Paul will be, like, "Honey, don't call me to come home in the middle of the day. I know you're ovulating but I have Dylan now!" [Laughs] Juuust kidding.

TV Guide Magazine: There's another little matter that leads to this big reveal — we find out Ian Ward can't have kids. He's just a lyin' loser! Doesn't this pretty much defang him as a villain? He's got no more hold on anyone, no real reason to remain in GC.

Burton: We love having Ray Wise here! He's awesome and I don't think he's going anywhere. Just wait. Ian is about to throw another wrench into the works.

TV Guide Magazine: Dylan and Victor make a surprisingly great team, brought together by their mutual hate of Ian. Will we see more of that?

Burton: I hope so. I love working with Eric Braeden. Dylan and Victor are such an unlikely pair but the fans seem to get a kick out of that. Everyone wants to beat up Ian Ward! [Laughs] It's like that movie Airplane where everybody's waiting in line to smack that panicky passenger. I don't know if there's any real bonding going on between Dylan and Victor. I think Victor thinks of Dylan more as a barnacle. "I don't know if I like you yet but when I get tired of you, I'm just gonna flick you off. You'll be gone!" But I hope not. I'd like to see more stuff for the two of us.

TV Guide Magazine: You've had to weather a lot of criticism as a result of your professional relationship with [Y&R exec producer] Jill Phelps — in fact, you're the quintessential FOJ, aka Friend of Jill — so let's talk about that.

Burton: Is there really anything I could say that's gonna matter?

TV Guide Magazine: Who knows? Let's give it a shot

Burton: No matter what I say, people will take it the way they take it. But go ahead.

TV Guide Magazine: Well, as you know, there is a loud contingent that thinks Jill wickedly masterminded your exit from General Hospital and brought you to Y&R where she proceeded to turn it into The Dylan Show — and a year and half later those people still won't shut up. How's it been to hear all that griping?

Burton: Listen, without the fans we don't have a show. I understand their frustrations and I know that they don't necessarily like change. I guess maybe my coming to Y&R upsets people because they don't really know the truth of what happened.

TV Guide Magazine: Which is...?

Burton: What you and I both know — that GH didn't make a deal with me. And that's the whole truth. My contract was up and they didn't want to play ball and make it work. At the time, I didn't want to throw anyone under the bus over there but of course, as soon as it was announced I was going to Y&R, people thought the whole thing was planned by Jill from Day 1, which it was not. I vividly remember my manager telling me how ABC Business Affairs had called him to say, "Hey, is Steve going to Y&R now that Jill's over there?" And my manager said, "No, he wants to make a deal with you! Quit dragging your feet. Make a deal." But they wouldn't.

TV Guide Magazine: Are you aware GH used your photo a while back when they were talking about your ex-character, Jason?

Burton: I heard about that photo. People were tweeting me, "Are you coming back to GH?"

TV Guide Magazine: It did seem intended to cause that reaction. Did they have to pay you to use that photo?

Burton: Yeah. [Laughs] I think I got 10 cents.

TV Guide Magazine: Were you glad to hear that Jason isn't dead after all?

Burton: Why?

TV Guide Magazine: Because you might want to come back some day.

Burton: I'm sure they're going to recast. Why wouldn't they?

TV Guide Magazine: Do you still watch GH?

Burton: I never watched GH. I don't watch Y&R, either. I don't watch any show I'm on. You know that!

TV Guide Magazine: Uh, actually I didn't know that. What's the problem?

Burton: I don't like watching myself, so the only time I see a bit of the show is in the makeup room or when we were looking at the Emmy reels. I never watch a full episode.

TV Guide Magazine: Oh that subject, congrats on the Emmy nomination! But why are you in supporting?

Burton: I don't really work that much! I don't know how anybody can say that Y&R is The Dylan Show. Now, you could maybe say that GH was The Jason Show, but that's not the case at Y&R. Who belongs in the lead actor category anyway? To my mind, it's the big guns — Peter Bergman and Eric Braeden and those kinda guys at Y&R, just as it was Tony Geary and Maurice Benard at GH.

TV Guide Magazine: So would you say this has all turned out for the best? Are you glad now that GH didn't ask you to stay?

Burton: As sad as I was that it didn't work out at GH — and, trust me, it was tough — this move has been amazing. I've made so many wonderful new friendships at Y&R and such good things have resulted. Plus, I get to spend a lot of time with my wife and kids back in Tennessee — obviously too much time because we're having another baby. [Laughs]

TV Guide Magazine: And soon, right?

Burton: Just a couple more weeks. I get nine days off from Y&R so I can be home when it happens.

TV Guide Magazine: And you're sure the baby will be born then?

Burton: Oh, that baby will be born then. No question. July 7. C-section. It's all planned out and it's pretty exciting! The move to Tennessee has been so great. I have a life! I coach football, take the kids to tennis and everywhere else they need to go. It's been life-changing for me. People always go, "Man that must be tough flying back and forth across the country to do your job!" But when I was in L.A., I lived in Newport Beach and drove to the studio every day in bumper-to-bumper traffic — four hours round trip. Lemme tell ya, I'd rather be on a plane sitting in the middle seat in coach than do that again! So, yeah, this has all worked out for the best. I wouldn't even call it bittersweet. I really miss my pals over at GH. I was there almost 21 years. But this change has been one of the best things that has ever happened to me.

Cameron Mathison Clears Up Y&R Rumors!

Over the past several weeks, and in the rumor mill, has been that Cameron Mathison visited the set of the CBS soap opera, The Young and the Restless. While there he auditioned, or was taking a meeting, to be considered as a recast for the role of Adam Newman, last played by fired star Michael Muhney. Still other reports surfaced that said Mathison may have visited the soap in regards to another role.

Early this morning, Mathison tweeted a response to all of those fans who have been inquiring of the former All My Children (Ex-Ryan Lavery) heartthrob, and current entertainment news correspondent and actor if he was indeed in the running to be the next black sheep of the Newman clan.

Cameron posted this statement on Twitter: “Just to clear up some rumors … There is absolutely NO indication that I am going to Y&R to play Adam Newman. Thanks for all the support tho.”

Death of Angelique Boyer’s Mother Stops Filming of Top Telenovela!

Popular Univision telenovela Lo Que La Vida Me Robó, has temporarily halted filming after the death of star, Angelique Boyer’s mother. Those close to the situation say 49 year old Sylvie Rousseau had been dealing with heart problems for several months.

In May Boyer posted a Tweet seeking out people with an O-positive blood type, which her mother Sylvie desperately needed at the time. Before her death she had undergone several operations, including open heart surgery, and had just been transported to a new hospital for further treatment.

Emphysema, a lung disease brought on by smoking, was a complicating factor in her death.

Although the top rated soap is due to wrap up filming in the coming weeks, producer Angelli Nesma made it clear that they will happily reschedule things so 25 year old Boyer (who plays Montse) can have all the time she needs to mourn and take care of her mother’s affairs. The two hour finale is set to air on July 27th.

Televisa, the company which produces and licenses Lo Que La Vida Me Robó, left an official message of condolence on Twitter:

“Televisa unites in the sorrow that Angelique Boyer faces in the death of her mother, Sylvie Rousseau. Rest in peace.”

Boyer’s fellow actress Érika Buenfil also took to Twitter to pay her respects:

“Angelique, with all my heart, I’m very sorry for everything you have been going through … I sent you a lot of love and big hug. I’m very sorry.”

Yes, the show will probably not make it to the airwaves for another 3 months, but the first images from series 5 have surfaced. Let's take a look at them, shall we?

This image has nothing to do with the new images, but hey, I thought it'd be nice to have a picture outside of the cut and this picture is adorable.

LOL @ this baiting picture. I think that they want us to gasp and go "omg Edith's daughter!", but this kid is way too old. It's Sybbie.

Bates in legal trouble again? Someone report him for murdering Green? Or is that just what the promo people want us to think and in reality the police officer has just shown up because he's asking for a glass of water on a hot day or something?

Oh. It's Gillingham. BUT WHERE IS CHARLES BLAKE? I don't think we've seen any filming pictures of him either. This is very disconcerting!!!!

Has Cora realized that her husband is a flop and found herself a boytoy? One can only hope.

Top 10 performances in Roman Polanski films

$

Tomorrow [Today], more than a year after its Cannes Competition premiere, Roman Polanski's "Venus in Fur" finally opens in US theaters. It's the 20th narrative feature of a career that now spans six decades, so a list themed around the Oscar-winning director's work seemed in order. Given that "Venus in Fur" -- Polanski's third film, after "Death and the Maiden" and "Carnage," to replicate the scale and pace of an intimate stage production -- is based so explicitly around notions of performance, and the push-pull relationship between actor and director, a selection of his most successful actorly collaborations seemed the obvious way to go.

Like so many auteurs celebrated for their own idiosyncratic style, Polanski's facility with actors isn't discussed as frequently as his formal abilities and preoccupations, yet he's always had the knack for drawing surprising work out of established stars and newcomers alike -- often casting actors intriguingly out of their element, or finding facets of interest in their presence that other filmmakers haven't managed to tap. (Few, if any, directors have seen quite what he did in Adrien Brody.) In his debut feature, "Knife in the Water," he confidently steered a largely non-professional ensemble, and has since frequently excelled with young or inexperienced actors -- three of the names on this list were aged below 23 at the time of filming.

Narrowing down the list was tougher than I thought it would be: I wanted room for Jon Finch and Francesca Annis's fresh, committed work in "Macbeth," for John Huston in "Chinatown" and Donald Pleasence in "Cul-de-sac," even for Polanski himself in "The Tenant." And coming in narrowly at #11 was Polanski's wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, for her vibrant, self-effacing turn in "Venus in Fur." It's a case of apparent miscasting revealing fresh angles in the material: Seigner is significantly older than the character as written and initially performed on stage, but her performance turns the play into a witty comment on the indignities visited upon older actresses.

I wanted Seigner in there, but the competition was just too strong. Who made the cut, then? Click through the gallery above, and share your own thoughts and favorites in the comments.

10. Adrien Brody, "The Pianist"
Year: 2002
Honors: Academy Award, National Society of Film Critics Award, Cesar Award, Boston Society of Critics Award (Best Actor)

One that I imagine will be a bit higher up a lot of people's lists, Brody's soulful, subtly intuitive turn as Polish Holocaust survivor Wladyslaw Szpilman has grown on me in the years since its surprise Oscar win. It's a performance of immense physicality, but not ostentatiously so, his gangly frame and pen-and-wash features tilting, sagging and contorting with each new trial Szpilman must endure -- suggesting a hollowed spirit, but never a defeated one. It seems unimaginable now that Joseph Fiennes was Polanski's first choice for the role.

5. Faye Dunaway, "Chinatown"
Year: 1974
Honors: Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA nominations (Best Actress)

In Evelyn Mulwray, Dunaway crafts a femme fatale sufficiently sleek, chic and enamel-hard to make you wish the actress had been around for the golden age of film noir, while exerting an angular, abrasive sexuality that makes you glad she was around for Polanski's provocatively updated take on the genre. It's a performance that gradually emerges from behind its own widow's veil: what initially seems all look and attitude -- and what look and attitude -- turns out to be a carefully managed front for ugly truths and roiling psychological pain. All that, and her chemistry with Jack Nicholson is something wild.

3. Sigourney Weaver, "Death and the Maiden"
Year: 1994
Honors: none

With admiring apologies to Ellen Ripley, dare I suggest this is the best work Weaver has ever done? Inheriting a role originated on the West End by Penelope Wilton, and played on Broadway by Glenn Close, Weaver fares better than any other actor in one of Polanski's stage adaptations, playing both up to and against the material's theatricality. As a South American housewife confronting a former tormentor from her days as a political prisoner, the actress balances grandly expressive pronouncements with microscopic physical business -- she's sympathetically scarred, but still terrifying in full flow. How did awards bodies fail to notice?

1. Mia Farrow, "Rosemary's Baby"
Year: 1968
Honors: Golden Globe, BAFTA nominations (Best Actress)

Mia Farrow's name is one that repeatedly crops up when lists are made of the finest stars never to receive an Oscar nomination -- and it's an oversight that really ought to have been prevented as early as this. As the New York trophy wife turned oblivious carrier for Satan's child, Farrow could easily have played Rosemary Woodhouse as a shrill, simpering victim, but her performance never loses its guarded intelligence, even as it enters the full throes of paranoia -- the character's gradual progress toward complete awareness of her exploitation is charted on her open face with heartbreaking clarity and detail; it's a performance that inspired a whole new breed of female horror protagonists, few of them as alert or affecting.

RIP, Juicy Couture! Early 2000s Staple Is Closing All Its US Stores

It's the end of an era! Specifically, an era when you could readily locate and pay full price for pastel terrycloth trackpants with the word "JUICY" emblazoned real big across the butt.

Juicy Couture—early-oughts icon and ever-present uniform of girls who were mean to me in college— is shuttering all of its US stores this month.

Via Salon:

Sources on Juicy's home planet – L.A. — told Racked that several locations have already gone belly up, and those that are still open are offering sales of up to 70 percent off everything. Not only that, but the company's recently announced collaboration with shoe brand Steve Madden – snarkily described by Racked this month as "your early aughts dream come true"– will reportedly only be available internationally.

So stock up now, kiddos! There really is no substitute for a pair of pants that lets you know what's inside them.

A few celebs we know who rocked Juicy---

Nathan Fillion as (Spoilers) in Guardians of the Galaxy?

$
0
0

According to a mighty internet sleuth, Nathan Fillion will play Richard Rider in this summer’s GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY. That’s right. After he was skeeted out of the Green Lantern gig (I love Ryan Reynolds, but he shouldn’t have been Hal Jordan) Nathan Fillion has a proper marquee role.

He’ll supposedly have a teeny tiny role in Guardians, but this will almost certainly lead to bigger and better things. If he doesn’t appear in Guardians of the Galaxy 2, then he’ll surely appear in some other cosmic movie. I imagine an Annihilation themed flick with intersecting Cosmic heroes. Minus Silver Surfer, of course, since he belongs to Fox Studios.

With DC’s own Justice League movie releasing in 2017, Marvel’s upping the ante. Nova’s obviously inspired by the Green Lantern Corp, so by introducing a fan favorite like Fillion as the lead so much sooner than WB’s rebooted Hal Jordan, Marvel claims influence over the whole ‘outer space superhero cops’ genre. After all, the fickle world of general movie goers only have room in their heart’s for one interstellar detective, and supposing Marvel Studios delivers a compelling Fillion Nova, they’ll easily claim masses.

Mykki Blanco is #TeamTerry

Early Friday morning, June 20, New York-based rapper Mykki Blanco shared this photo of himself and Terry Richardson, with the caption “#TeamTerry.”

The photo was taken during a November 2012 shoot at Terry’s New York studio. Richardson also photographed Blanco in 2011 for a Happy Socks campaign, along with A$AP Rocky, Action Bronson, and Sky Ferreira.

Backlash against Terry Richardson intensified this week after a New York magazine cover story, in which “Uncle Terry” denied years of allegations that he coerces models into performing sexual acts during photo shoots.

The Disney Channel has put out many, many movies over the years.
Here is Buzzfeed's Definitive Ranking of these movies.
FULL LIST @ THE SOURCE

6. Cadet Kelly (2003)

002ckl_hilary_duff_048

Let’s be real: Kelly Collins was basically Lizzie McGuire uprooted to George Washington Military Academy, where she was under the surveillance of her stepdad (aka “Sir,” aka Gary Cole) and her cadet captain (Disney Channel favorite Christy Carlson Romano). With the addition of some ribbon dancing and future Iceman Shawn Ashmore, plus the important life lesson about staying true to oneself while testing your limits, Cadet Kelly withstands the test of time.

5. The Cheetah Girls (2003)

enhanced-32581-1401683628-1

If there was any upside to the deterioration of 3LW, it came in the form of The Cheetah Girls, the less-often-recognized-but-thoroughly-enjoyable trilogy among the DCOM series. A) Raven-Symoné plays a young diva named Galleria, B) Kiely Williams moved on from “promithes, promithes” to take on the role of Aquanetta, and C) The Cheetah Girls had more girl power in their animal-printed newsboy caps than the Spice Girls. You know you still have “Cinderella” in your iTunes.

4. High School Musical (2006)

enhanced-2284-1401682341-1

The Disney Channel Original Movie that revived the Disney Channel Original Movie for a slightly different generation was admittedly even a favorite among those who enjoyed the Wish Upon A Stars of the collection. The Grease-like musical introduced us to Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and a slew of future Dancing with the Stars cast members as well as the second best song in the DCOM arsenal: “We’re All In This Together.” (It’s OK if you’re singing it now and doing the dance moves in your head. No judgment here.)

3. Smart House (1999)

enhanced-buzz-12158-1401997632-14

Today, we have wi-fi lightbulbs, and Apple recently announced you’ll soon be able to tell your iPhone you want to get ready for bed, so would you dim the lights, please? But these technological advancements are nothing compared to the true “smart house,” a kind of mid-century housewife Siri named Pat (Katey Segal!) that Ben Cooper (Disney mainstay and eventual Pretty Little Liars star Ryan Merriman) and his family win in some sort of raffle.

2. Brink! (1998)

enhanced-buzz-23641-1401997778-22

It’s the late ’90s, a Friday night, and you and your friends or siblings are huddled around one of those little TV sets that has a built-in VCR. What are you watching? Probably Brink!. If it wasn’t the first DCOM you saw, it was probably the one that got you hooked. Brink! tells the story of a talented inline skater who wrestles with the option of leaving behind his crew of “soul” skaters and selling out for sponsorships to help out his struggling family — but being forced to hang out with a bunch of assholes. The movie goes through all the hallmarks of a classic DCOM — a completely random but cool-looking sport, the nice guys and the mean guys, and a good-hearted kid who wants to help his dad’s business. In the end, the good guys win. Because that’s the way it should be.

1. Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century

enhanced-buzz-21466-1402003106-9

When kids of the ’90s talk wistfully about DCOMs, it usually goes something like this: “OMG! Remember Zenon?” And of course, how could you not remember the greatest DCOM of all time, with its campy space station lifestyle, Raven Symoné, glittery sartorial choices, and beloved music? Zoom zoom zoom, you make my heart go boom boom, Zenon. Always.

Gay Porn Star Cameron Fox Dead!

Celebrated gay porn star and former Falcon Studios performer Cameron Fox has died, according to several industry insiders within the gay porn community.

The actor – real name Shane Eugene Davis, passed away last Thursday. He was 36-years-old.

The Tulsa, Texas native reportedly entered the gay porn industry in 1999 at the ripe age of 22. He quickly became known for his performance and endowment, racking up at least two awards before leaving the industry in 2006.

News of his death began circulating on social media yesterday, though no official cause of death has been reported.

A gay porn reviewer from Chronicles of Pornia remembers Fox: There was a time during the 1990's gay porn industry pantheon when stars were truly stars whom did not need to pander for adult fame, rather, they simply let their work speak loudly and proudly.

Cameron Fox was one such person. I never once felt as though Cameron was phoning in a performance. He was virile, engaged and present at all times. He gave more than 100% to his action scenes. Fox knew how to give his partners and his fans what they wanted to see. The mark of a real porn star.

While most teens their age are relaxing and enjoying their summer holidays, Kendall and Kylie Jenner were once again hitting the road.

The sisters were spotted catching a flight from Los Angeles, California, on Friday and while hoping on a plane usually means heading on a break, for these busy sisters it was far more likely to be yet another work trip.

Kendall and Kylie have only been back home for just a few days after hosting their first awards show, MuchMusic, in Canada on Sunday night.

Kendall & Kylie Jenner In Talks To Co-Host Teen Talk Show

Move over, Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian! There may be two new Kardashian talk show hosts in the making – Kylie and Kendall! The sisters proved they can hold their own on the microphone after their successful stint at the MuchMusic Awards on June 15, and now they’re in talks to host a new talk show aimed at teens, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Kylie Jenner, 15, and Kendall Jenner, 18, could be on their way to co-hosting their very own talk show about teen issues. “So far, they both love the idea,” an insider tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. So do we! Especially since the famous sisters have plenty of celeb friends like Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber who could make guest appearances.

Kylie and Kendall may be on the verge of another televised adventure, after they showed the world just how comfortable they were working together at the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto, Canada on June 15.

“Following their huge success of co-hosting the MuchMusic Awards show in Canada, Kendall and Kylie have been in talks to have their own talk show geared towards teens and teen issues,” a family friend tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY.

Of course, E!, which has been home to almost every Kardashian show, is the network looking to make this teen talk show a reality, our source says.

In addition to discussing serious issues on the show, the reality starlets would also interview celebrity guests.

“So far, they both love the idea, and if it did happen, they’d want to focus on subjects like self-esteem, dating, fashion, and celebrity interviews. There is a really strong market for this right now, and between the two of them, they have so many fans,” says the insider.

From Justin and Selena to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, Kylie and Kendall certainly would have plenty of potential famous guests to choose from.

So what do YOU think, ONTDers? Should Kendall and Kylie host their own talk show about teen issues? Would YOU watch?

Kylie's Stellar Style

kylie-jenner-mint-swimsuit-get-the-look-lead

This teen is taking after her sexy older sisters as she loves to suit up in swimwear! Like her plunging one-piece?

Kylie Jenner, 16, looked fab posing for an Instagram shot in a plunging one-piece bathing suit while standing in front of the stunning Kardashian pool at their Calabasas home on June 14. The star rocked one of the biggest swimwear trends of the season, the one-piece — however, her version had a revealing update thanks to the plunging neckline.

How are they going to have a show if Kendall can't even read? Maybe they can open their show talking about the origin of slut-shaming as well as discuss their next feminist novel and college plans...
