NeNe Leakes Fights with Marlo Hampton

The "Bailey Bowl," an adult version of a field day organized by Cynthia Bailey in order for the ladies to have a little innocent fun, turned into the Bailey Brawl on Sunday's The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

"Let the games begin!" Bailey, 46, announced at the beginning of a fitness day filled with nostalgic events like egg-and-spoon and three-legged races. But it didn't take long for the adults to act like children.

Marlo Hampton, former BFF and bridesmaid to NeNe Leakes and now BFF of Leakes's frenemy Kenya Moore, began to boil in the Hotlanta heat competing against Leakes's Team Rich.

"I'm gonna beat your butts," Hampton initially taunted Team Rich as a member of Team Twirl, Moore's team. "I'm mad … I don't know how not to say what's on my mind … I wasn't invited to the original family team."

Cue chaos.

"Get the f--- off me," Leakes, 45, shouted as Hampton got close to her. "Don't try to grab me."

Leakes then tossed a water bottle Hampton's way, which didn't dampen her fiery emotions one bit.

"B----, you're stupid," Hampton yelled. "You are insecure … Tell the whole ATL why you're not talking to me? 'Cause I'm Kenya's friend?"

Leakes quickly began to exit the Bailey Bowl, opting to leave "Nay-Nay," the alternate, evil personality that she has now named after unleashing it at Moore's masquerade ball, on the sidelines of the athletic field.

"I've never seen NeNe walk away from a fight," a competitive Kandi Burruss noted.

"You don't know what a friend is!" Hampton continued to yell at Leakes. "You have to kiss her ass to be her friend. You that insecure?"

"I'm not speaking at all to her," Leakes stated as Hampton broke down in tears in the arms of Moore, 42, telling her new friend, "I feel so stupid."

"The Bailey Bowl just became the Bailey Bust," Bailey astutely summed up the day.

Rolling Stone reviews Lea Michele's 'Louder'– rates it 1 out of 5

$

As Broadway-bound Rachel Berry, Lea Michele was the brassy soprano on Glee's two highest-charting songs. But her attempt at breaking out as a solo artist has been rocky – lead single "Cannonball" sank like one – and this album of insta-dated EDM-pop anthems and half-cocked bass drops probably won't help her cause.

The songs about love's ups and downs have a few memorable lyrics ("My heart's too drunk to drive"), but not nearly enough, and Michele's show-tune-style belting is a little too perfect for today's pop charts.

Still, the album will make a decent audition tape for Julie Taymor's inevitable production of Teenage Dream: The Katy Perry Musical in a few more years.

“Harry Potter” franchise alum Alfred Enoch, rising star Jack Falahee and newcomer Karla Souza have joined the cast of ABC drama pilot “How to Get Away with Murder”.

Described as a “sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller,” the show will follow ambitious law students and their brilliant but mysterious professor, who becomes embroiled in a murder plot. Falahee, Enoch and Souza will play three of the students, while the professor role has yet to be cast.

Enoch played Dean Thomas, roommate and ally to Harry, in all eight of the “Harry Potter” films. Justin Bieber -- GOING TO TRIAL In DUI Case!

$

Justin Bieber and Miami Beach prosecutors will NOT strike a plea deal in his DUI case ... and sources connected with the case say a trial is now almost certain.

TMZ broke the story ... prosecutors are offering a no contest plea to reckless driving, with strings attached ... notably Justin must submit to random drug testing for 6 to 9 months. Sources connected with Bieber say they will NOT accept any plea that has probationary terms ... especially drug testing.

Now law enforcement sources tell us ... they will not deal if Justin does not agree to random drug testing ... period. As a result, both sides are at an impasse.

With a plea deal all but off the table, a trial is likely. Law enforcement sources acknowledge there are problems with the arresting officers ... the fact that he may have lied when he said he smelled alcohol on Justin's breath (he blew a .014). And another cop claimed Justin was drag racing (at 27 MPH).

Nonetheless ... we're told prosecutors are not afraid of trying the case. And Justin's famed lawyer, Roy Black, is ready for a courtroom battle.

At stake -- Justin could be tried for 3 offenses ... DUI, resisting arrest, and driving on an expired license. Worst case scenario -- 2 1/2 years in jail.

Summary of the first 10 minutes of Winter Soldier

$

0

Last night in Los Angeles, Marvel screened the Iron Man 3 spin-off One-Shot All Hail The King, which finds Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley) in prison. Following a Q&A with Kingsley, writer/director Drew Pearce and Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige, we were promised a treat, with Feige announcing that they’d screen the first 10 minutes of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Prepare, then, for our take on the opening scenes of Marvel’s next film, with the attendant spoiler warnings that come with that.

We won’t describe the footage beat-by-beat here, especially because even in this brief look there’s plenty you should see without advance knowledge. But we will say that given how the film opens with Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers lapping Anthony Mackie’s pre-Falcon Sam Wilson as he jogs around the National Mall in Washington, D.C., you can expect plenty of Marvel (and Cap)’s trademark wry humour mixed with the action.

Mackie and Evans display an easy bantering chemistry in the first scene, catching us up on how Cap is adapting to life in his post-popsicle state and adding Marvin Gaye’s Trouble Man album to the list of things he needs to catch up on (a list, which, in the US version of the film, at least, includes Star Wars, Star Trek and Steve Jobs – Apple).

Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha “Black Widow” Romanoff shows up in a growling black Corvette to take Steve off on a mission, drawing a laugh of her own by asking the way to the Smithsonian because she has to “pick up a fossil”. We cut to a plane flying through the clouds above the Indian Ocean, where agent Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) is briefing Cap, Widow and other team members on their assignment. Most of the footage on the plane after the initial briefing comes from the trailers we’ve seen: Cap joking about his personal life and leaping from the plane to the amazement of some of his colleagues.

Their mission is to take down a group of pirates who have hijacked a S.H.I.E.L.D. ship – Cap says that he’s getting tired of being Fury’s janitor – and rescue the team aboard. Rogers is first aboard, taking out various mercenaries and soldiers with ease and some super-powered martial arts. He sends Black Widow and the rest off to secure other areas, with Natasha in particular showing off her usual deadly abilities.

Their big target is Georges Batroc (Georges St. Pierre), who is demanding a ransom for the return of the ship and its crew. Can Cap rescue the hostages, which intriguingly include Agent Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández’ character from The Avengers, Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., Item 47 and more)? Well… you’ll have to see the film to find out, as that’s where the footage ended.

All in all, the footage we saw showed a confident, funny, action-packed film that, as we’ve watched in the trailers, just builds from there. It’s easy to see why the Marvel brass were happy with directing siblings Anthony and Joe Russo; this thing looks very stylish, and the character work gives Chris Evans plenty of moments to shine. The whole film will be out in the UK on March 26. The Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray itself is in stores now.

Dara O'Briain: BBC ban on all-male comedy panels will lead to 'token woman' tag

$

Dara O’Briain thinks the BBC’s ban on all-male comedy panels should have “evolved” without making future female guests appear as the “token woman”.

The Mock the Week presenter criticised the decision, arguing that stand-up by nature has a larger share of male comics.

“I wouldn’t have announced it, is what I’d say, because it means Katherine Ryan or Holly Walsh, who’ve been on millions of times, will suddenly look like the token woman,” he told the Radio Times.

“It would have been better if it had evolved without showing your workings, if you know what I mean. Legislating for token woman isn’t much help.

“A certain number of women want to go into comedy and they should be cherished and nurtured, but you’re not going to shift the fact that loads more men want to do it.”

O’Briain went on to argue that tackling gender inequalities in other areas such as computer coding would be a more effective use of time than dwelling on the representation of women in comedy.

“I wish a tenth of the energy that was put into the women-on-panel-shows debate was put into women in computer coding, in which there are hundreds of thousands of jobs in Europe and 11 per cent of them are done by women,” he said. “It seems a more sensible challenge than these 300 people (in stand-up comedy) and how they are represented.

O’Briain added that because of the small pool of female comics, Mock the Week books some panellists who are far less experienced than their male co-stars, which only “makes it even tougher for them”.

The Irish comedian’s comments follow Danny Cohen, BBC director of television’s recent vow: “We’re not going to have any more panel shows with no women on them. It's not acceptable."

MSNBC Throws Ronan Farrow into the Deep End, And He Drowns

Ronan Farrow’s debut on MSNBC on Monday was a ratings disaster, but that’s not all. Farrow, despite his show business lineage, came off today – his second day – like the host of a show on UHF or closed circuit TV in a community college. Physically, he comes off as small. The set doesn’t help him. His voice his high and uncertain. He reminded me (this is an old reference) of the high school stringer hired by Lou Grant who phones in a scoop. Watch this clip below. Does this seem like a show that should be on a network connected to NBC?

Really? This is enough to make me turn to Fox News.

Today Farrow put up Arizona Governor Jan Brewer’s phone number. He urged the audience to call her if they don’t agree with her position on gay rights. (Later, he will call Justin Bieber and egg her house.) I think we did this in 11th grade to our high school principal.

Meanwhile, Farrow, one day on the job, is hitting the lecture circuit. He’s already booked Fairfield (CT) University for March 18th on the topic “A New Generation of Protest: How Technology Is Changing the Art of Uprising.” His official bio says he’s the son of Mia Farrow and Woody Allen. So much for Frank Sinatra!

If only Farrow had started out as a contributor on some show first.
You think of all the talented people who could host that hour and do a great job. This is going to end in tears, I’m afraid.

It looks like Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi has found the follow-up to his feature film debut.
The actor is in talks to star in the film The Place That Hits The Sun from producer Noel Pearson (My Left Foot) via his Ferndale Films.

The historical drama follows famous South African marathoner Willie Mtolo, a Zulu warrior, who competed in the 1992 New York Marathon. The story centers on Mtolo and Ray de Vries, a Caucasian bar owner, whose unlikely friendship transcended apartheid South Africa.
Abdi, who was born in Somalia and moved to the U.S. when he was 14, made his film debut in Paul Greengrass' Captain Phillips, playing a ship hijacker in the based-on-a-true-story film starring Tom Hanks. He received a SAG, Golden Globe, BAFTA and Oscar nomination for his work on the film. He's repped by SMS Talent and Morris Yorn.

Pretty Little Liars 4x22 Promo “Cover for Me” + Recap of tonight's episode “Off Their Rockers”

Pretty Little Liars Recap: Off Their Rockers

Now that Spencer has (allegedly) kicked her pill habit, this week’s episode of Pretty Little Liars found her passing the burden of insanity to Aria — and she handled those responsibilities like a pro.

Attempting to confront Ezra in the hall at Rosewood High was one thing, but breaking into his apartment and trashing everything in sight? That was pure genius.

The irony, of course, is that this episode was directed by Aria’s on-screen dad, Chad Lowe, so Byron was not only watching his daughter go bananas, but actually encouraging her to do so. (The next time you ask yourself, “Where’s Aria’s dad in all of this?” there’s your answer.)

TROUBLE IN PAILY-DISE? | As you first saw in TVLine’s exclusive preview clip, Paige’s suspicion of her girlfriend is at an all-time high, and she finally reached her breaking point this week. After a heated confrontation, and a bizarre accusation about Emily’s grandmother being a stripper, Em finally dropped the “Alison is alive” bomb on Paige. Boom! Naturally, Paige tried to apply logic to the situation (i.e. ‘Alison is a lunatic’ and ‘This really isn’t your problem’) but Emily was hearing none of it. Then came the true betrayal: After another major fight with Emily, Paige wrote a letter to A.D. Incorporated, revealing that Ali is still alive. Is there no going back from this?

HANNA’S BAD TOUCH | Is it just me, or ever since Caleb moved to Ravenswood, has Hanna’s life been a series of terrible decisions? Case in point: After convincing Detective Holbrook to speak up for Travis at his sentencing this week, she thanked him… with a kiss. Look, I get that Gabe is a babe (those two words even rhyme), but has this girl never heard of a handshake? Or a thank-you card? Or nothing at all?

OFF THE WAGON | Oh, remember when I said Spencer was done with those pills? I lied, or rather, shelied. During a moment of weakness, Spence downed a handful of the good stuff, and her timing couldn’t have been worse. She discovered the card of the private investigator her dad had hired to follow Melissa, only there was a note that suggested he’d actually been hired to follow Spencer. (Wait, Spencer’s dad lied? Color me shocked.) Her next brilliant decision was physically confronting Ali’s mom, asking if she saw Spencer with a shovel the night Ali disappeared. It ended… not well.

'House of Cards': Rachel Brosnahan talks about season 2 ending. Is [spoiler] really [spoiler]?

Besides the same first name, Rachel Brosnahan may not have a whole lot in common with her House of Cards prostitute-turned-hideaway character. But with the recent success, Brosnahan has found one similarity: A struggle to keep secrets. “I’ve been pretty good,” she explained. “All my friends were texting me SHOCKED after the first episode [of season 2], wondering how on earth I kept that [twist] a secret. I don’t know how I did it [laughs]. I had to tell someone — I told my mom!”

But while Kate Mara and the rest of the cast may have always known Zoe’s fate, Brosnahan explained that for her own big plot points, she only finds out about what the show is planning for her a few weeks before they shoot. “The last episode of the second season we didn’t really know anything, I think they were still figuring things out when we were shooting.”

“Figuring things out” included the decision of whether to kill Doug Stamper, Frank Underwood’s aide who’d been nursing a growing obsession with Rachel, culminating in Doug’s decision to move her once again/possibly kill her. But Brosnahan doesn’t think fans should be too quick to say goodbye to Underwood’s favorite suck-up. “I don’t think we know that he’s dead yet,” the bloody brick-wielder revealed. “It cuts so quickly. I don’t think we can say for sure that Stamper is dead.” Prior to filming, “Michael [Kelly] and I had some conversations [about the ending moments]. He’s very upset with me! [Laughs] It was some tough, crazy scenes in the woods, but I don’t think I’ve ever worked with an actor that is so kind and positive all the time. Michael’s amazing. He can’t be dead!”

Dead or not, it doesn’t spell great things for Rachel. But while fans may be dying to know what her new, hopefully Stamper-free life would look like, Brosnahan isn’t sure she’ll be back for more to answer that question. “I have no idea. They tell us all very, very late,” she explained about her possible return. “I have no clue what is happening with the third season. I think Rachel should come back. I think there’s a lot of loose ends. I also think it’s interesting if Rachel came back because she’s one of the bigger threats to Frank now. She’s still the missing link, and people are discovering that she exists.

Of course, a little possible-murder in the woods wasn’t the only thing Rachel got up to this season. There was also that time she threatened Doug with a knife when he came to pick her up. “I was very surprised when I got the script [for that scene],” Brosnahan said. “But it makes total sense to me because when I read the first scene in that episode, I thought, ‘She can’t freak out there because [she's in public].’ But then she has a moment to go home and think about having to pack up her life all over again. She says, ‘I don’t want to start over. I already did it.’ And in that lifestyle — the call girl, D.C. — picking up and starting over [is constant]. And in a way, Stamper becomes another pimp. He’s picking her up and telling her what to do. So that scene makes sense to me; I think she just panics.

When it comes to Brosnahan’s own viewing, she’s just like other fans: Obsessing over Claire. (She notes she’s on episode 7 in her current binge.) “I love this Claire/military storyline with the rape stuff,” she said about her personal favorite plot points from season 2. “I think it’s amazing. First of all, Robin Wright is a god and deserves every award ever for episode 4. It’s blowing my mind. And I’ve read the script; I knew it was happening and I still had chills. Chills, all over my body!

Now she knows how we felt when we saw the knife.

The Bold and the Beautiful Makes Soap Opera History! Heads to the Middle East For Location Shoot!

In a first for daytime, B&B is gearing up for a location shoot in Abu Dhabi and Dubai — that will involve actors Thorsten Kaye (Ridge), Don Diamont (Bill) and Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke). The soap will film there March 17-19 and the story hitting the air in late May or early June.

"B&B is really popular on the Dubai One network and that's opened up a lot of doors. We don't know what to expect but that's the most fun part of this job — going off and trying things we've never done before. It's very exciting." executive producer Bradley Bell tells TV Guide

Credit for the adventure goes to Lang who was invited to take part in a triathlon in Abu Dhabi "Kelly asked me for time off to take part in the event and I said, 'Well, how about we all come with you?" reveals Bell. "So we're going to back up the station wagon and all pile in!"

Bell's plot has control-freak Ridge following Brooke and Bill to the UAE. "We're going to take advantage of the great Ridge-Bill rivalry. Ridge feels like he's Brooke's protector and he doesn't want Bill to become stepfather to his son, R.J. So he's a man on a mission!"

B&B has another location shoot coming up, though it's closer to home. "We're doing a story with Liam and Hope at South Los Angeles Animal Shelter." says Bell. Bob Barker & Brandon McMillan will appear in the story, with real-life employees of the shelter. It airs April 30-May2.

Bell admits he's not being totally altruistic. "We'll talk about an important issue but we'll also differentiate the men in Hope's life. Wyatt wants her in a trailer, take her up the coast where they'll drink & make love. Liam is socially conscious and saving animals." So who comes out on top? Hints Bell with a laugh: "It's always a turn-on to see a handsome guy petting a puppy."

Happy #THUGGADAY: Houston Salutes Northside Boss, Slim Thug

$

0
Today at City Hall, a prominent resident of Houston will receive his very own proclamation from the mayor, much like the thousands of citizens who have also received such certificates in the past. This particular citizen is named Stayve Jerome Thomas, a gentleman who has been a successful representative of Houston since he first hit the scene in the late '90s, and who in most recent years has used his wealth and fame to feed the city's less fortunate, as well sponsor toy drives benefiting underprivileged children. Most fans know him as Slim Thug these days.

According to the City of Houston, this type of acknowledgment is reserved for outstanding individuals who have made a significant contribution to society and contributions to the City and citizens of Houston. Today's proclamation will be presented by City Council member Jerry Davis of District B, an area which includes portions of Houston's Northside that have benefited from Thomas' philanthropy, and also where the rapper was raised.

So today is offically #ThuggaDay.
Slim vows, "Since '98 I've been straight, started shinin' out the gate reppin' that Nawf on tape" in the intro to his latest album, Boss Life, and has definitely been rapping about money, cars and women for a long time. The Boss Hogg Outlaw even has a very large tattoo reading "HOUSTON" on his back, always representing his city to the fullest.

url

Earlier this year, CNN anchor Don Lemon examined the word "thug," and asked on-air if the word itself was racist, and ended the segment with the following quote: "If you don't wanna be treated like a thug, or considered one, then don't act like one."

This of course led to a response from Slim himself, who was given his rap name as a lanky teenager with braids. Here is his response:

Should a man's positive's contributions in the community be questioned or negated by the name he chooses to carry? Is a rapper not a musician, and a musician an artist, someone who by definition has the ability to interpret the world and produce content in their own, personal way?

Whether you agree or disagree with Sim Thug receiving his day from the mayor, the ceremony will take place today at City Hall, and Rocks Off will most certainly be in attendance.

JAMAICA ME CRAZY
Happy Birthday, Peter! You wear 53 well. It was nice to see Cynthia and Peter happy and smiling. I hope they can continue to work out their issues. I do not necessarily agree with Cynthia as to why she was upset with Peter for speaking to NeNe about her behavior. We know Cynthia to be NeNe’s soldier and most loyal friend, therefore, Peter probably was so disgusted by NeNe’s behavior that he had to make sure he did what he thought was right fearing Cynthia wouldn’t address her.
THE BIGGEST BULLY
According to NeNe I bullied her to come to the ball! Aside from seasons prior to my debut on the show, I have personally witnessed NeNe’s acts of terrorism. I have never threatened anyone by being made to choose to be on my side or else suffer the consequences; I don’t use my status on the show or intimidation tactics to try to sabotage other Housewives’ success on the show; and I certainly don’t “unfriend” people who don’t agree with me. I don’t subscribe to this type of egregious self-serving behavior. There are children suffering, even dying from being bullied. Let’s not further exploit the word in order to gain sympathy, it only diminishes those who are truly victims.
NeNe has spent a lot of her time unnecessarily blaming me for her pillow talk party instead of looking to herself. She has never apologized to me for how she treated me that night, or her role in the fight that ensued. NeNe has never once apologized to me for the way she behaved at the ball. She never apologized to Peter or Cynthia for the manner in which she consistently emasculates and disrespects her best friend’s husband.
Furthermore, NeNe is using pillow talk gate to justify why she has targeted me as her enemy. I have personally done nothing to NeNe but try to be her friend, even apologizing for something that wasn’t solely my fault as she insists. Even if I was to blame for the pillow talk melee, which I am not, is that a reason to disown someone as a friend? Her cruelty and nastiness towards me is completely unfounded and based on her own insecurities. With that said, I refuse to dim my light in order to make her comfortable.

OPPORTUNIST

Wasn’t it NeNe who said “no bitch is going to tell her who she can be friends with” in reference to inviting my ex to her wedding? Clearly, my feelings didn’t matter, to add insult to injury they are not even friends. Point being, Marlo should have a right to be friendly with me. Cynthia has been the most blindly loyal friend NeNe has probably ever had. Yet, the moment Cynthia did not agree with NeNe calling her husband countless bitches, NeNe turns on Cynthia as if she has somehow been disloyal to her. Most of us are smart enough to see beyond NeNe’s smoke screen. The moment Marlo becomes friendly with me, she is labeled a turncoat opportunist. Hypocrisy at its best. NeNe does photo ops with Kim Kardashian, but Marlo is the opportunist? #byefelicia
The truth remains the truth. Her arrogant “I am better than everyone else attitude” is hard to stomach. Even her most loyal fans can see her true colors and no Kool-Aid in the world is worth dying over. After seeing how disposable her long time friends are to her as she discards them like trash if they dare go against her, she is no one’s friend only a dictator in her own mind. I don’t need friends like her in my life.
WHAT IS A FRIEND?
In my world, a friend is someone who tells you the truth even when it hurts and keeps it 100% real with you at all times. A friend is someone you can trust who isn’t just your friend when the cameras are rolling or when you’re successful. A friend is someone who has proven to be loyal, one who keeps your secrets, tolerates you when you have bad days, and most importantly, never tries to climb rungs on a ladder by putting their $4,000 Tom Ford boots on the necks of any woman who also has some success. Lastly, a friend forgives and never holds grudges because they love you unconditionally
Thank God for my real friends. I don’t know what I would do without them. I love you and thank you for loving me -- flaws and all. I love my BFFs: Chanda, Lauren, My two Lisas, Nola, Brandon, Tracey, Lawrence, Lamman, and Camille! I live for you! And to my new friends on the show, I appreciate you giving me a chance and look forward to having a genuine friendship.
