Will the lords and ladies of Downton Abbey make it as movie stars?

Tonight, as the plush velvet curtain draws to a close on the latest season of Downton Abbey, it’s worth taking a look ahead to what comes next for the Crawley clan. I’m not talking about whether Lady Mary will finally give the green light to one of her tweedy, stammering suitors. Or if Edith will be able to keep her secret, scarlet-letter shame under wraps in Switzerland amongst all the chocolate shops and cuckoo clocks. Or if the increasingly dim and blowhard-y Earl of Grantham will gamble away his wife’s fortune at the card table. I mean what comes next career-wise for the stars of the show.

It’s a question that’s particularly timely since we’re all currently being pummeled by trailers for Non-Stop showing Lady Mary herself (Michelle Dockery) dressed as a flight attendant watching Liam Neeson crack skulls at 30,000 feet.

Let’s start with Lady Sybil. Earlier this month, Brown Findlay had a flashy role in the big-budget love story Winter’s Tale. In case you missed it — and odds are you did based on its grim box-office haul — the husky-voiced actress plays the sickly daughter of a newspaper tycoon (William Hurt) in 1916 New York. With her flowing auburn tresses, alabaster skin, and death-sentence diagnosis of tuberculosis, she’s playing another tragic beauty a la Sybil. For a brief moment in the film, though, there seems like there might be hope for her character, after she catches a ragamuffin thief (Colin Farrell) casing her father’s Downton-esque mansion, and the two exchange flirty poetic declarations and come-hither glances. But alas, even love…and not just any love, but the mystical Colin Farrell kind of love that comes with a flying white horse…isn’t enough. Like Lady Sybil, things don’t end well for her. Still, Brown Findlay is one of the better things in the otherwise sappy film. And it left me wanting to see more of her. Especially in something that didn’t involve a corset or a coughing fit that promises third-act doom.

As for her partner on Downton season 3 exile island, Dan Stevens, things have looked pretty sunny for him since leaving the hit show. He’s lined up several films that will afford him the opportunity to move far, far away from his repressed milquetoast Hugh Grant-in-tails persona on the show. Actually, I’m being a bit unfair. Stevens’ Matthew Crawley was one of the sanest people in that drafty pile of bricks. For starters, he actually knew what it was like to work for a living instead of swirling a snifter of Cognac while playing snooker. And Stevens clearly knew he could do more. You can’t blame the guy for striking while the iron was hot. Unfortunately, his decision to leave the show cornered Julian Fellows into scrambling to come up with a pretty silly deus ex machina demise at the end of last season.

So was his decision to leave the show a good call? Judging from the reaction at the Sundance Film Festival to his latest film, The Guest, the answer is mostly yes. The Guest is a totally bonkers action flick that was created by Adam Wingard and Simon Barrett — the director/writer team behind You’re Next (a movie I really liked). Stevens isn’t some supporting character in the movie either, he is the movie. He stars as David, a soldier who shows up to console the family of one of his fallen comrades and then…actually, it’s probably better not to say too much about the film’s plot, other than to say that it’s completely bananas. And Stevens is very good. Will it be a huge box-office hit? I sincerely doubt it. Will it get Stevens more interesting post-Downton parts. I think so.

Which brings us to our next Downton-to-Hollywood gambit: Hugh Bonneville, a.k.a. the Earl of Grantham, who recently popped up as part of the ensemble in George Clooney’s WWII quasi-heist film, The Monuments Men. Bonneville wasn’t risking much by signing on to this one. After all, it’s a George Clooney movie. And it’s not like he gave up his day job to do it. He’s still lord of the manor back on PBS. But I don’t think he — or anyone else, for that matter — expected this film to get the reviews it did. They were brutal. Still, I have to imagine spending a couple of months palling around on a movie set with Clooney, John Goodman, and Bill Murray was reward enough.

Finally, we come to Michelle Dockery. I don’t think any fan of the show would have predicted that Lady Mary, Grantham’s oldest daughter — the crown jewel for any bachelor-on-the-make in British high society — would wind up on the silver screen playing a stewardess. My monocle just fell into my lap just typing that sentence! Then again, Lady Mary’s always been full of surprises. If anyone in the Downton cast seemed destined for a post-show bump into the rarefied air of Hollywood, it was probably her. After all, she’s the straw that stirs the Downton drink.

In Non-Stop, which comes out on Feb. 28, Dockery plays a can-do air hostess who finds herself on the same flight as Liam Neeson. And judging from Neeson’s recent resume dispatching Albanian goons in Taken and flesh-hungry wolves in The Grey, that’s not a place you necessarily want to be unless you want to get covered in blood. That said, the film will undoubtedly be a huge hit. You just can’t go wrong with an avenging Neeson at the box office these days. But will it lead to bigger, better offers in better, splashier movies for Dockery?

One Direction's Liam Payne has told Capital that he thinks the group are set to gather more male fans with their new album.

The group have been teasing their latest record this week and Liam thinks any previous criticism will soon be forgotten about.

"People say we don't work hard and it's all a game and whatever. We just wanna make good music, and this album – honestly, every lad out there tonight who's thinking One Direction are this and that. Literally, next album – pick up our album and see what you feel," he told showbiz reporter Kevin Hughes at the BRIT Awards 2014.
The band picked up two awards on the night bringing their total to four.

A new album this year would also make it four albums in as many years and the band are back on the road for the biggest shows when their 'Where We Are' stadium tour kicks off.

Model Robyn Lawley: "Don't call me plus-size"

Curvaceous international model Robyn Lawley wants the term “plus-size” to be banned and has called on fashion designers to end their obsession with skinny mannequins.

“There is a need for all women to wear all sizes of clothes and we should cater to that need without putting a label on it,” Sydney-born Lawley said after walking the red carpet at an event at Milan Fashion Week.

“The name plus-size doesn't have any good connotation to it, and I don't want women to be segregated into particular stores.”

The former Italian Vogue cover girl said designers should simply include larger sizes in their collections, and urged them to use models more representative of the average woman's size.

“They have to make changes because it's not relatable at all,” Lawley said.

“I love fashion but I can't relate to any of the models that they use, so a greater variety would be nice. I see something on the runway and think it looks good on her but what would it look like on me, because her body looks nothing like mine.”

Lawley showed off her own body during Milan Fashion Week when she donned a form-fitting black dress to walk the red carpet at the Marina Rinaldi collections launch on Saturday.

The Western Sydney-raised beauty joined six other curvy models at the event, which debuted a new range of glamorous evening gowns by the Italian luxury plus-size label.

“I love working with Marina Rinaldi because they treat it like high end fashion, which a lot of companies in the plus size world don't,” Lawley said.

The 24-year-old has admitted she once tried to lose weight to work as a mainstream model, but gave up after her regime of starvation and diet pills reached dangerous extremes.

Since then the beautiful brunette has enjoyed enormous success as a fuller-figured model, having graced the cover of Elle France and starred in campaigns for Ralph Lauren and Barneys department store in New York.

Lawley was recently signed by Spanish brand Mango to be the face of their new plus-size range Violetta and also runs her own swimwear label, which runs from size 10 to size 22.

“My brand is for all women's sizes because I think it should be available for all,” she said.

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg has hinted that a fifth “Shrek” movie may be coming, four years after “Shrek Forever After” was released.

“We like to let them have a little bit of time to rest,” he told Fox Business Network in an interview scheduled to air Tuesday. “But I think you can be confident that we’ll have another chapter in the Shrek series. We’re not finished, and more importantly, neither is he.”

DreamWorks Animation announced Monday that it was teaming up with Merlin Entertainments to launch a “Shrek” themed visitor attraction, to be called Shrek’s Far Far Away Adventure, in London.

The attraction, which will open in the summer of 2015, will take visitors through a live interactive adventure featuring Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots and other characters from the franchise. It will be the first of six “Shrek” attractions to be rolled out over nine years.

On the last episode, Deaton retrieved a poisonous lichen that aided him in paralyzing the Nogitsune within Stiles. Elsewhere, Derek and Chris Argent were arrested by Agent McCall for the murder of Katashi after being framed by someone. Stiles, who was still missing, reappeared in the school basement. After finding a map of the cross-country trail, they realized that the path has been booby trapped by the possessed Stiles. The boys were successful in stopping the runners from being injured but Coach Finstock was shot with an arrow.

On tonight’s episode, Scott and the others seek an important artifact; Stiles decides to checks himself into the mental hospital, Eichen House.

LIVE RECAP:

The show opens up with Sheriff Stilinski driving Stiles to Eichen House. They get out of the car, looking a bit uncertain, and proceed toward the mental hospital. It’s night time. The tone is ominous. Scott pulls up on his dirt bike and can’t believe that Stiles is checking him into the same hospital that housed Barrow. Stiles wants Scott to make certain of one thing: That he never gets out of the hospital. he doesn’t want to deal anymore pain.

Inside the hospital, there are several patients with various afflictions. A nurse invites him into the hospital. He’ll be a patient for 72 hours. The place strangely resembles a jail and Sheriff Stilinski is struggling to leave his son in this place, but he eventually lets him go.

Stiles is shown to his room. On his way there, he sees a woman on the other end of the hallway. As he proceeds up the stairs, he witnesses an inpatient throw himself over the banister and hang himself. On the bottom floor, Stiles sees the Nogitsune, all bandaged.

Meanwhile, Argent talks with Dr. Deaton, Scott, and Allison. They mention a scroll that was written by Japanese mystics. This scroll might be able to help purge Stiles of the Nogitsune. Allison thinks she might know where to find it. Maybe she’s seen something like it before.

Stiles finds his room. There, he discovers that he has a roommate. His name is Oliver. Oliver says that this hospital is known as the Echo House because everything echoes. Evetually.

Stiles hears a woman on the phone. Her name is Meredith. He overhears her conversation. She says that she really thinks she should tell everyone the full story. Nobody knows what she’s talking about, but before she hangs up the phone (which has been disconnected), she says that “one of them is standing right behind me.” She’s talking about Stiles.

Stiles sees Malia. Malia proceeds to punch Stiles for no good reason. Malia is taken away and Stiles is restrained by the security guards. Raucous breaks out. As Stiles is being apprehended on the ground, he peers down a grate and sees the basement. He sees himself down there — a vision. This is the same basement that Lydia led everyone to a couple episodes ago. Ms. Morrell shows up and silences things. She shouts, “Enough!” Kneeling beside Stiles, she says, “You saw something, didn’t you?”

Stiles says, “I’ve been there before. I’ve been there before.”

Derek and Chris Argent are locked up in jail, as they’re still being blamed for Takashi’s murder. All the evidence for the Takashi murder investigation is being moved. Chris and Derek talk about Stiles. Derek asks Chris if he’d feel any remorse killing Stiles. Chris says, “Stiles? Yes. A Nogitsune? No.”

Ms. Morrell is leading a group therapy session on guilt. Oliver, Stiles’s roomie, continues to suffers from a strange cough — as if he has a fly in his throat.

Ms. Morrell sees a strange mark appearing on Stiles neck. She takes him to her office and gives him some amphetamines to stay awake. She tells him that when the mark on his skin fades, the Nogitsune will return. She says if his friends don’t figure out what to do before that, then she’ll be forced to give him a lethal injection. Stiles asks if she’s planning on killing him. She says, “I’m going to do what I’ve always done: Maintain the balance of things.”

Before Stiles leaves, Ms. Morrell gives him words of immense caution: “STAY AWAKE.”

Stiles walks through the hospital and wants to get down to the basement. Oliver shows up behind him and says there’s no way he’s getting down into that room. The only one with the key is the head orderly. Stiles is going to play a trick on him to get that key. He needs to get into that basement.

Meanwhile, Allison, Lydia, Scott, and the twins are on a mission to acquire the mystical scroll that might be able to save Stiles’s life. Allison says that all the Takashi evidence is currently being moved in an armor car. They need its contents. They’re going to try to rob the transport. Piece of cake.

Stiles enters the bathroom. He takes his medication. He sees Malia showering. Stiles is wondering why she punched him. She’s mad for being pulled back into the human world. She wants to go back to being a coyote. Stiles says that he might know someone who might be able to help her change back — or at least teach her. He offers her a deal: He wants help getting the key from the head orderly.

Meanwhile, Team Scott formulates a plan to break into the armored car. They’re after Takashi’s silver finger. Allison thinks this might contain the scroll.

Stiles and Malia stage a fight in the hospital. Stiles grabs the orderly’s keys.

Chris is led into a room at the station. A woman is waiting for him. She says, “Hello, Kristoff.”

Stiles tries to unlock the door to the basement but is caught by the head orderly. He’s taken into the “quiet room.” They take his amphetamines and give him a sedative. This could prove disastrous for him.

Kira comes to meet Scott. She feels partially guilty for the role her mother’s playing the Oni summonings, so she wants to help in whatever ways she can. She shows off her new samurai sword skills. Scott says, “Okay. You’re coming.”

Meanwhile, the Nogitsune is haunting Stiles. He’s dreaming. Malia wakes him up. She says she broke the lock. She also says there’s another way to the basement — through the clothes unit.

Team Scott attempts to rob the car, but someone’s already beat them to the punch. A man jumps out of the back. Allison says that it’s Kincaid.

The woman talks with Chris and talks about families and honor. Chris wants to know if this has anything to do with Allison.

Scott tries to get the silver finger from Kinkaid, but he says the scroll inside is worth $3 million. Kira tries to thwart Kinkaid, but she’s thrown to the ground.

Malia and Stiles enter the basement. She asks him what he’s looking for. He’s not sure, but he says it has something to do with the strange kanji mark on the wall. He says it means “self.” Malia wants to know more about what’s going on. Stiles is apprehensive to reveal to much, but she tells him to try to remember that she’s a werecoyote who killed her family. She says she won’t judge.

Kinkaid beats up Scott. The twins come in and save the day.

Stiles and Malia find a whole bunch of files about the hospital’s past. She checks the lines on his back. They’re fading. Not a good sign.

Malia kisses Stiles! It was her first kiss. Stiles says, “Want to try again?”

They proceed to kiss and she says, “I want to try something else.”

They do it in the hospital basement.

Meanwhile, Team Scott acquire the mystical scroll.

Malia and Stiles, after their hookup, hear a strange noise in the basement. With a crowbar, he breaks down a wall. Behind it, they find a mummy — it’s the bandaged man, the one he’s been seeing. The Nogitsune. Malia reaches into the mummy’s bag and pulls out a small photo. She asks Stiles if he recognizes the people in the photo. He recognizes one of them. He says he needs to get this to Scott ASAP.

But Oliver comes in and tasers Stiles and Malia. He stole the taser from the orderly.

Stiles asks Oliver what he’s doing. Oliver proceeds to get a drill. He says that this hospital used to conduct trephination experiments — boring holes in patients’ skulls “to let the evil spirits out.”

Oliver has tied Stiles to a chair. Oliver coughs up blood — and what looks to be a small fly. They’re interrupted by a voice. It’s the Nogitsune. The Nogitsune has orchestrated all of this.

Stiles tells him to let Malia go. He says, “Let me in.”

Oliver proceeds to bring the drill to Malia’s head. The Nogitsune tells Stiles to let him in and he’ll let Malia live.

Stiles, crying, lets the Nogitsune inside him.

Scott delivers the scroll to Dr. Deaton, who says the only way to expel a Nogitsune is to “change the body of its host.” Scott thinks that they need to turn Stiles into a werewolf.

Malia checks herself out of the institution. She goes to look for Scott McCall. Ms. Morrell says that she can tell him where he is.

As Malia leaves the hospital, her eyes glow blue.

This is a week you'll never forget on The Bold and The Beautiful as Quinn loves Bill, who loves Brooke, who loves Ridge, who loves Katie! Who's love will survive?!

Monday, February 24
Katie (Heather Tom) makes a difficult admission; Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) is kept in the dark about an important matter.

Tuesday, February 25
Hope (Kim Matula) plans to protect a new love; Bill (Don Diamont) regrets his actions after hearing about Brooke and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye).

Wednesday, February 26
Brooke and Hope go to Paris for business; Quinn (Rena Sofer) shares important information with Wyatt (Darin Brooks).

Thursday, February 27
A Forrester family secret begins to emerge; Brooke discovers an extra passenger on the jet.

Friday, February 28
Taylor (Hunter Tylo) visits Eric (John McCook) at work; Thomas (Adam Gregory) meets Hope and Brooke at Forrester International.

Do you love it or what? No wedding for Bridge and I for one am thrilled! And better yet it is an end of a legacy. There will be no more Bridge and they are officially dead as sources have informed me. Bell has finally gotten a clue (it only took 20 years) to end this couple.

Katie and Ridge share a kiss and Brooke finds out about it and in her revenge mode she gives the paperwork back to Bill who is thrilled and then takes Katie to court to get back his company and full custody of his son. But Katie is not going to let Bill railroad her and she plays the fraud card with the help of Ridge. Now this sounds like something worth watching!

Finally Caroline tells Brooke and Eric that they are going to be grandparents. Don’t expect to see Rick and Caroline because they are crossing over to Genoa City. This leaves Ridge in charge of Forrester Creations and he is going to be up against Bill’s 12%. Of course Bill isn’t going to keep quiet and lets Ridge know that he is going to insist on sitting in on board meetings with his side kick Brooke smirking from across the table. This is where it gets good and Brooke declares war on Ridge.

It’s almost official, Susan Flannery is very close to agreeing to a few little visits in the near future. Brad thinks he’s come up with the perfect story to have the powerful matriarch appear to a few people to shake up some trees and she will be setting some heavy trends.

Hunter Tylo returns but for only one episode but there are continued talks to bring her back. And what about the triangle of Hope/Liam/Wyatt? Let me drop this bombshell on you, something horrible happens to a Forrester and Wyatt is going to take the blame for it and the real person behind it makes quite a few jaws drop once the secret it out. Liam will think he’s got a headway into Hope’s life again and it will for a while look like it just may happen again. You long timers just keep thinking “Nick/Ridge” over and over, you’ll get the picture.

Monday, February 24
Billy (David Tom) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) talk about their marriage; Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) must face the music for taking Connor after Victor (Eric Braeden) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) confront her in Paris; Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Dylan (Steve Burton) visit Ian Ward (Ray Wise); Courtney tries to fix things with Noah (Robert Adamson).

Tuesday, February 25
Jack (Peter Bergman) confronts Billy about his relationship with Kelly (Cynthia Watros); things heat up between Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Tyler (Redaric Williams).

Wednesday, February 26
Ian blackmails Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott); the moment of truth bears down on Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Leslie (Angell Conwell).

Thursday, February 27
Jack tells Chelsea not to trust Victor; Nick and Dylan come together to help Summer (Hunter King).

Friday, February 28
Jill (Jess Walton) and Colin (Tristan Rogers) engage in a game of cat and mouse; Michael (Christian LeBlanc) and Kevin (Greg Rikaart) try to reason with Chloe; Victoria makes a decision.

Stitch decides it’s time to do what he has been wanting for some time and takes Victoria by surprise and kisses her. Of course Victoria is shocked but in reality I bet she kinda likes it. And speaking of Stitch rumor has it that he just may be related to Kelly, her brother is what I am hearing. These two are always so mad at one another that it is the kind of anger you have toward someone you care about who should have known better than what went down. Guess we will have to wait and see how much truth there is to this rumor.

Dylan and Nick finally agree on something and that is Ian harassing their mother. They decide to team up against Ian. Nick and Dylan are with Ian when Ian says to Nick that he knew his mother back when “hint hint” and Nick punches him. YEA! Meanwhile Paul goes to the ranch and tells Nikki about Dylan’s visit. He tells Nikki it is obvious that Dylan cares about her. This was the first time that Paul had a scene with Dylan. Are we being made to believe that Ian is Dylan’s father while in realty it really is Paul who is Dylan’s father? Stranger things have happen.

Chelsea asks Victor for help in finding Adam, get ready people the recast is coming!

All you Nick and Sharon fans it’s about to happen once again when Nick and Sharon give in to passion. Now I ask you does TPTB think the viewers are this stupid? Do TBTB think that we don’t know what it is leading to. The fact that she hasn’t told Nick about Summer is a perfect example of why in a different way Sharon is as bad as Victor.

Monday, February 24

Friday, February 28
Abigail and E.J. reach an understanding; Marlena (Deidre Hall) makes a deal with the devil; Jennifer assists Eric with a job opportunity; a confrontation with Ben shakes Jordan.

Corday says there are big things happening that will affect the next six months of story A new woman arrives in Salem and immediately catches JJ’s eye. She denies it but does ask for his help in getting rid of AJ for good after she finally admits to Carlos that Connie was alive when AJ left and she had no choice but to kill Connie. Will Carlos do as he is asked?

Olivia runs into someone unexpected checking into the Metro, Rick Lansing is back! When asked what is he doing back in Port Charles he replies “to see my daughter Molly”, but Olivia, remembering Sonny’s concern about the person bankrolling Julian, alerts him to Ric’s presence.

To make sure she has an alibi Ava visits her mother, Delia in NY. Delia panics and tries to call Sam but she doesn’t answer. Sam finally does arrive and Delia hides Sam and finally Ava leaves. In December, Universal Pictures hired Jonathan Herman to write the latest draft of the N.W.A. biopic that F. Gary Gray is attached to direct, with former member of the seminal rap group, Ice Cube, producing.

Originally set up at New Line, Universal picked up the project in turnaround, with F. Gary Gray still attached to direct. John Singleton was, at one time, interested in directing.

You'll recall that both Eazy E's son and daughter claimed that they were either in the running, or would be the best fits to play their father in the movie; The son said that there was a "high probability" that he'd play the part; the daughter just wanted her shot. She even created an audition video, demonstrating her chameleon skills, which you can watch HERE.

When asked about all of that, producer Ice Cube said that no promises had been made to anyone regarding casting, and everyone was going to have to earn whatever role is given to them, whether actors or children of the real-life men of NWA who want to play their fathers.

Cube added that none of the real members of NWA will be in the film; not even in cameos apparently.

In a new interview with The Guardian, as his latest film, Ride Along, opens in the UK, Cube had a few more things to say about the upcoming project.

When asked specifically about the NWA biopic, he said:

We're getting the script tight and we're starting to cast. Hopefully we'll start shooting in April. We've had a few different writers; we're still working that out. We're going for a dramatic story that encompasses hip-hop, dope-dealing, Reaganomics, Aids, LAPD, rap feuds, FBI, PMRC, the Parental Advisory stickers on the records ... all of it.

Sounds ambitious!

And further, when asked about rumors that his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr would be playing him in the film, Ice Cube shared:

Yes. I've been trying to get that pushed along. Just wanna make sure that he's the best man for the job.

He added that his son reminded him of himself at that age, stating:

At that age people think that I was all serious and mean, but there was a mixture of hot and cold. I could turn on a dime. And he has my temperament.

A photo of his son, O'Shea Jackson Jr, is above. He looks just like his father, doesn't he?

Also worth noting, Eazy-E's widow, Tomica Woods, who inherited his share of NWA song rights, was also previously said to be involved, as a producer. This was when the project was languishing at New Line. At the time, Andrea Berloff, who wrote the screenplay to Oliver Stone's World Trade Center, was to pen the script. Jonathan Herman (whose only IMDB writing credit is for an erotic short film titled Firepussy) will write a new draft.

But here are a couple of questions for you folks: do any of you really want to see an NWA biopic?

Fans of the group are 20+ years older now (myself included. I was in high school during the group's heydays). And, while I can't speak for others, I can say that I'm not all-that interested in seeing a film based on the the group's story. I enjoyed the music - and even occasionally still blast it from time to time; but that's good enough for me. I'm not high on seeing a film about them, and I wonder if others from my generation, who grew up with the music, feel the same way.

I wonder who the film's target audience will be. I'd go out on a limb and say those under the age of 25 may not even be familiar enough with the group and its music, to want to pay $12 to see their lives unfold on the big screen. So what audience is this film being made for?

You tell me...

But no matter, it's good to know that the project is finally moving along, after years in limbo.

Piers Morgan and 10 other famous Brits who flopped in America

Piers Morgan has had his US chat show cancelled after low ratings and complaints about his views on guns. Even worse, a petition to have him deported has been signed by hundreds of thousands of Americans. He joins a long line of Brits who have failed to earn a devoted following in America.

Oasis
They were one of the biggest bands of the Nineties in the UK, but swaggering Britpoppers Oasis failed to replicate their success in the US. That's not to say they were a complete flop; they still achieved three top-five albums and six platinum records in America. But, comparatively, they certainly didn't live up to the hype – something Noel Gallagher is still angry with his brother Liam for: "I still blame him for the fact that we never cracked the US," Noel said. "When we had one of the biggest selling albums in the world, and were about to begin a crucial US tour, he arrived at the airport, gave some ludicrous excuse that he couldn't get on the plane, and left us stranded."

The Inbetweeners USA (and other British sitcoms)
The Americans are constantly remaking our sitcoms, usually with jarring results. There have been several low points – Red Dwarf USA, Men Behaving Badly, Dad's Army, The IT Crowd – but surely the nadir was The Inbetweeners USA, which took a quintessentially British show, stripped it of its charm and amusing puerility, made the cast better looking and, thankfully, was cancelled within two months of launching on MTV.

Cheryl Cole
Immaculately white teeth? Check. Pouty hands on hip pose? Check. Hair with more weave than a wicker basket? Check. Geordie accent? Oh, wait. There’s a particular brand of dazzling showbiz perfection that the American public warm to. Unfortunately, sounding a bit like a posh Paul Gascoigne doesn’t cut it. Former Girls Aloud singer and North-East princess Cheryl Cole found out the hard way when she was dropped from the US X Factor in 2011 and replaced with Nicole Scherzinger after attending just two auditions, with producers also citing insufficient chemistry between her and fellow judge Paula Adbul. Cole is reportedly to make a return to the UK X Factor this year – howay, pet, better get the subtitles ready.

King George III
To say King George III wasn't popular with Americans is an understatement: they hated him and his government so much that the American War of Independence happened. Yes, as King Georges go, this was the mad one, so you could argue that he had too much on his plate to care about what the Yanks thought of him. But even hundreds of years later, it's a safe bet that most Americans don't remember him fondly.

It’s always great to take a trip down memory lane. We wanted to shed some light on the natural haired ladies of the 90s that kept us entertained. So here they are, in no particular order:

7. Rachel True

Before she was Essence Atkin’s level-headed half-sister, Mona on Half and Half, True got plenty of screen time in films like The Craft and another cult classic, CB4. Straight out of Locash.

8. Melanie B.

Some of the biggest hair in one of the biggest pop girl groups of all time. Brown made sure you remembered the fierceness that is Scary Spice.

6. Lauryn Hill

“Girls you know you better….” Can’t thing of a single person in the 90s that didn’t jam the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. “That Thing (Doo Wop)” was played at least 8 times a day on most radio stations in the 90s.

4. Debbi Morgan

Debbi Morgan was the aunt in Eve’s Bayou that would you a run for your money. A class act alongside Lynn Whitfield, this beauty could command a scene.

5. Erica Alexander

Who doesn’t remember Attorney Maxine Shaw? Sharp as a tack and always providing comic relief especially with her love-hate for Kyle. Alexander made Living Single a party.
Natural hair post!!!! Who is your hair inspiration??

Once Upon a Time Preview 7 Teasers For Season 3B Premiere

It’s been over two months since we watched Emma and Henry drive away as Storybrooke disappeared in a cloud of purple magic in the midseason finale of Once Upon a Time.

While there are still 13 days before the series returns, we were lucky enough to receive an advanced screener of the premiere from ABC so we’re here to give fans some scoop on what they have to look forward to on March 9.

Right off the bat, we loved the episode, “New York City Serenade.” It’s fast-paced and fills in a lot of details that we were curious about once we saw Hook on Emma’s doorstep one year after Regina undid the curse.

The episode has some lovely parallels to the pilot episode of the series and there are quite a few things (moments, interactions) that give a nod to the show’s history. There are also some great role reversals thanks to memory gaps that serve as an enjoyable way to give fans information as to just how different things are without the curse.

Obviously we can’t give too much away because that takes the fun out of it (and we don’t want ABC to put a curse on us), but here’s what we can share about the premiere:

1. Aurora and Prince Phillip welcome the group back to the Enchanted Forest and catch them up on some of the happenings there. But they leave something major out for a valid reason.

2. Neal and Belle each have a plan when it comes to getting Rumpel back. They also each get to have a reunion in the episode (Bonus Swan Fire Shipper Scoop: A choice Neal makes is also a throwback to a previous episode of the series as is something Emma sees).

3. Hook is relentless in his efforts to make Emma remember and she is not amused, but her curiosity gets the best of her – twice (Bonus Captain Swan Shipper Scoop: Something you’ve been wanting happens and you will flail over it. Also, all of their scenes will make you smile. All of them).

4. Snow helps Regina through an emotional moment and it’s touching to see how far they’ve come. [Bonus Outlaw Queen Shipper Scoop: If you weren’t already shipping these two, their first meeting will make you want to start. It’s flawless).

5. Speaking of Regina, murder remains her go-to solution for any problem that she comes across. Alternate suggestions are made by [spoiler] and [spoiler]. Will Regina listen or go back to her Evil Queen ways?

6. Storybrooke is back, but the how and the why are not immediately answered. Instead, we’re left with a mystery that will have viewers craving more episodes (Bonus non-shipper scoop: Out of all the throwbacks to the pilot, our favorite is a moment that takes place in Storybrooke).

7. Flying monkeys are absolutely terrifying. As for the Wicked Witch…we don’t learn a lot about her in the episode, but what we see? Perfection.

Bonus Dialogue Teases:

“Emma Swan always gets her man.”

“I know you better than you know yourself.”

“Stop looking for things to be wrong.”

#RichKids Star Morgan Defends "No One’s Homophobic Unless You’re From Kentucky" Comment!

Morgan Stewart is still receiving backlash from a questionable comment she made on the premiere of #RichKids of Beverly Hills, and the reality star has finally decided to clear the air.

During the #RichKids January premiere, Stewart was caught on camera uttering something that might haunt her for the rest of her life: “It’s 2013. No one’s homophobic unless you’re from Kentucky.” Wow.

This comment definitely didn’t sit well with KY natives. And since then, viewers have taken to Twitter to bash the star for her ill-advised words.

But in an open letter on her BoobsAndLoubs blog, Morgan has finally set out to explain herself, hoping she and her upset followers can start anew:

Ok, where do we begin? I really don’t want this to be super awkward. There is just no reason for it- I really feel as though we got off to a very rocky and unnecessary start.

Number ONE- My JOKE about nobody being homophobic unless they’re from your lovely state, was a joke, a pure JOKE. Now I’m not asking you to find it funny, or anything I say funny for that matter, but at least realize that the statement made was not from a hateful place.

NUMBER TWO- Now, I’m not really sure that this excuse or reasoning is even valid due to the fact that I am in the middle of my first season on TV (Usually you can’t pull the” out of context ” card until you’re in season five and you have a “team” that helps deal with your stupidity) but my response to my first question in Maxim didn’t even make sense?

So I am not sure if things were jumbled over or taken out of context- as annoying as I can be, I am more than capable of answering a question correctly and within context- so that fumble seems like pure coincidence.

ANYWAY- I hope this is the first step in mending our relationship, hopefully we can re-build and start a new!

LOTS OF LOVE - MORGAN

Dorothy and Morgan Pose in Sexy Lingerie!

The #RichKids of Beverly Hills are proving to be just as hot as they are rich. In the new issue of Maxim, on newsstands February 18, Dorothy Wang and Morgan Stewart decide to strip down for the cameras.

"It's very lavish but also very sexy at the same time," Dorothy said behind-the-scenes. "Doing Maxim is the most lavish thing we've ever done," Morgan added.

And while they look incredible for the shoot, the BFFs admit they didn't exactly work hard beforehand. "I had two glasses of red wine last night and a lot of sushi," Morgan confessed. "That's basically all I did to prepare for it."

The girls were able to prepare for an amazing experience on reality TV. For years, the two were known as the life of any party they attended. "I went to a party when I was 12 years old and basically, I got on top of the table. Alicia Silverstone came up to me and was like ‘get this party started' and I didn't move the rest of the night," Morgan said.

Dorothy added, "When I was 18, I partied with Diddy until like nine in the morning." Yah, that's pretty impressive too.

It appears that the twosome live a life that was just meant to be captured on the small screen. "A thousand percent we thought we would be on a reality show," Morgan said. "I've been filming a reality show in my head for the last five years," Dorothy added.

Jonny Drubel Joins Advocacy Campaign!

Jonny has joined forces with #ComingOutMatters, a new social media campaign from Students Moving America. The campaign’s goal is to provide hope and support for closeted LGBT individuals by sharing coming out stories that will empower those still in the closet to embrace who they are.

Wetpaint recently spoke with Jonny about his life filming #RichKids, and now the witty reality star tells us why he’s so excited to speak out for this particular cause.

“#ComingOutMatters is doing something that has never been done before and I'm so honored to be doing this with Students Moving America,” Jonny tells Wetpaint exclusively. “Coming out is a difficult life milestone that is different for everyone, so we're creating a safe online space for people to turn to that are struggling with their own coming out process.”

But #ComingOutMatters features more than coming out stories. “We've also been very lucky to have received so many videos from straight allies who are telling their own story of a loved one coming out them, as well as why they believe it is important to come out,” he continues. “It's very inspiring and we hope to reach as many people as possible.”
