Business owners last remember seeing it in February, but as of last Wednesday, it was gone.

• Moviepass users, time just might be up on your great deal!


• Helios and Matheson, the analytics firm that bought Moviepass and has been funding its 9.95 unlimited film viewing subscription service has reported they only have enough cash to run for one more month.


• In a filing, HMNY stated they only have 15.5M in cash on hand and are owed 27.9 million from merchants who have taken Moviepass subscription payments.


• Moviepass puts out about 21.7M a month in tickets, or about $750,000 a day.


• The stock plummeted to $1 this morning at this news that the subscription service might have run its course.


• Helios and Matheson says they believe they have enacted changes (no more repeat viewings, ticket verification to weed out fraud) that will save the company going forward and aren't out of the game yet.

• According to an investigation done by a Norwegian paper, 300 Million streams were falsified by streaming platform Tidal for Kanye West's The Life of Pablo and Beyonce's Lemonade.


• In 2016, Tidal claimed Pablo had been streamed 250 million times in its first 10 days and Lemonade was streamed 300 million times in its first 15 days. People inside the music industry balked at these claims and even said Tidal was lying.


• Norweigian paper Dagens Næringsliv’s received a hard drive anonymously containing 2 billion rows of internal streaming info from Tidal. They made sure the hard drive was legit before persuing their claim by contacting record labels and people with knowledge and access to streaming information.


• A forensic analysis of the data showed that 150 million Pablo streams and 170 million Lemonade streams were actually duplicates that were double counted by Tidal's system and linked to the same time and usernname of the original stream.


• Tidal paid out 4 Million in royalties to Beyonce and Sony Music and 3.7 Million in royalities to Kanye West and Universal Music.


• Tidal claims the entire study is fake and there's nothing to see here.

Variety is reporting that director David Gordon Green is in final talks to direct a reimagining of Friday Night Lights for Universal.

Sources say the studio has toyed with the idea of a sequel to the original 2004 film and a big screen continuation of the 2006-2011 television series but will now be going in a new direction, with a new Texas setting, story, and cast of characters.

Nothing else about the film has been announced. Green's next film, Halloween, will be released in October.

Diablo Cody discussed some of the controversy over Juno when it came out in 2008:

"I don’t feel I was clear enough in terms of why Juno chose to not have an abortion. It was simply because she did not want to. It was not about any type of feeling that abortion was wrong – I’m pro-choice. So for it to be interpreted as an anti-choice movie, that’s upsetting to me.”

She also said some of the 'Juno' controversy has caused her to become more private:

“It hasn’t affected my writing. But it’s certainly affected the way that I talk to people about the projects. I’ve become very boring because I want to protect myself and my children. I would like to just keep a low profile and continue to work, and I’ve had to really stay under the radar in order to accomplish that.”
