Righteous bald goddess Jessie J slams some loser

Jessie J stomps off in tears on tonight's edition of 'The Voice' as she becomes enraged with fellow coach Will.i.am for the choice of songs he makes his acts perform.

Jessie blasts Will for choosing the "wrong" track when contestants Liam Tamne and John Pritchard go head-to-head in the latest battle round which she believes does not allow their talents to shine.

At this stage of the contest the judges pit their own team members against each other with just one of each pair going through to the live stages.

But Jessie is infuriated when Pritchard struggles to sing 'Easy Lover' and mouths to the other panellists: "It's too high."

And afterwards she grumbles: "I just don't feel like you got to show yourselves - it was the wrong song choice. Will, why did you pick that song?"

After tiring of her criticisms, Will snaps back: "I don't pick songs for Jessie to say 'Wow that was a great song choice'. This song is best for what I needed to see so it did its job."

Fellow coach Danny O'Donoghue backs Jessie, saying: "I was gonna say I did think the key was a little bit too high."

And Sir Tom Jones agrees: "It sounded too high, I don't know why the key was that high."

Jessie becomes further enraged when she is unable to step in and rescue the loser as she has run out of opportunities to "steal" the losing contestant and give them a second chance.

Afterwards upset Jessie storms away to the bewilderment of the others and tells one of the studio staff: "I don't understand what he's doing. I just need to have a moment away from him."

However Will is unrepentant, saying: "I have no idea why Jessie got upset. I guess it's just Jessie being Jessie.

"Maybe it's because she couldn't steal. She should put that much passion into her acts."

A programme source said: "Jessie had to take some time out backstage and cool down, she really gets invested in the acts and the show and it all got a bit much for her.

"She just couldn't get her head around why Will made the decision that he did."

Rihanna Teases, Karrueche Eggs On, Chris Remains A Douche

If Rihanna is trying to send a message to her ex Chris Brown, it's coming across loud and clear.

The pop star posed for a teasing tweet in a bikini on Saturday with the caption: 'Lil ol me in my big ol tub!!!'

It's the star's second racy picture this week - she also posted a cheeky shot of her derriere from the set of her Pour It Up clip on Wednesday.

It doesn't seem to be any coincidence that they come after ex Chris Brown has been gallivanting about with Karrueche Tran again.

Tran lit the fire with a raunchy upload on her birthday: a flashback snap of her thrusting her naked bottom into Chris' face.

Proving she's sexy and she knows it, Rihanna fought back with an image capturing the Diamonds star in a printed blue Charlie by Matthew Zink two-piece as she lounges in a jacuzzi tub, one leg fully in the water and the other positioned across her lap. To prevent her hair from getting wet, the Barbadian bombshell pulled her blonde locks back. And she seemed to be trying to give off a bad gal vibe, wearing her jet black sunglasses as she soaked her skin.

Rihanna is currently in Rabat, Morocco for the Mawazine Festival.
On Friday, she took the stage in various states of undress, showing off her legs, bottom and tum.
She tried to adhere to the more conservative style of the predominately Muslim country, yet despite covering up in what resembled a doctor’s coat, the singer still managed to flash her midriff as she set the stage at the music festival.

And in true Rihanna style she managed to turn the over-sized and unflattering silk-like coat into something rather sexy.
Wearing her trademark thigh-high boots with black leggings, the 25-year-old strutted her stuff on stage.
As the coat flapped about she revealed her crop top underneath and her toned stomach.

Her blonde hair had been styled in loose curls, and she wore her favourite red lipstick which matched her nails. Completing her look she wore a chunky silver necklace, bracelet and belt, while she covered her eyes with a pair of plastic rimmed oval sunglasses.
The Diamonds signer looked delighted to be opening Morocco’s’ largest music festival, which will see the likes of Jessie J, Mika, David Guetta and Enrique Inglesias perform over the next few days.

Her performance also marked the start of the European leg of her world tour, which will see her heading to Spain next before arriving in the UK on June 10th.
As she arrived in Morocco, Rihanna slipped into an Arab-inspired outfit to take a couple of pictures for her Twitter followers. Covering up she wore a leopard print head-dress underneath a backward snapback cap, while keeping her shades on.

Tweeting a couple of pictures of her get-up, she wrote: ‘Guess who's back in #MOROCCO’
Her make-shift burqa appeared to be inspired by a look seen on Jeremy Scott’s spring 2013 NYFW show, which saw a model walk with a leopard print burqa.
The covered up look was a far cry from a snap she posted earlier in the week which showed her wearing a pink lacy thong, underneath what was merely the skeleton of a pair of denim shorts.

Angelina Jolie's aunt has lost her battle with breast cancer.

The Oscar winner's uncle, Ron Martin, told E! News exclusively that his wife, Debbie Martin, passed away this morning at about 1:50 a.m.

News of Jolie's aunt's passing comes just a couple of weeks after the Salt star revealed she had undergone a preventative double mastectomy.

"Angelina has been in touch throughout the week and her brother Jamie has been with us, giving his support day by day," Ron said. "They both loved Debbie very much and although Angie is not able to come right now she has sent her love and support which was very nice."

"We have seen Angelina a number of times since Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer and Debbie and I were both very proud of her recent decision to have the double mastectomy and to do everything she can to keep her family from having to go through what we've been through," he continued. "Angelina's father Jon Voight has also been tremendously supportive--he came down to see Debbie last Sunday and spent the whole day, talking with her and sharing his love and I know Debbie really enjoyed seeing him and talking with him."

Debbie died at Palomar Hospital in Escondido, Calif. and is survived by her husband Ron and their two sons Chris and Cory Martin.

Doctor Who 'thunderingly racist'

$

Doctor Who is a 'thunderously racist’ drama which promotes dismissive attitudes towards black companions and 'contempt’ for primitive cultures, academics have claimed.

A new collection of essays analysing the adventures of the Time Lord, titled Doctor Who And Race, suggests that the BBC cult programme is based on outdated attitudes.

Several of the 23 contributors to the book claim the failure to cast a black or Asian actor as the Doctor demonstrates an overarching racism.

Early versions of the show were also criticised for casting white actors in ethnic roles such as John Bennett, who played a Chinese villain in the storyline The Talons Of Weng- Chiang.

Author Amit Gupta, an American professor, even suggests Peter Davison’s cricket loving Doctor harked back to the 'racial and class nostalgia’ of the British Imperialism.

There was also criticism of the introduction and Adolf Hitler as a character last year, which was condemned as 'slapstick’, and said did nothing to increase understanding of the Holocaust.

Authors also condemned the way primitive cultures were portrayed as 'savages.’

Australian academic Lindy Orthia, who compiled the anthology, concluded: 'The biggest elephant in the room is the problem privately nursed by many fans of loving a TV show when it is thunderingly racist.’

But fans dismiss such criticisms as 'groundless’ and 'ridiculous’.

Sebastian Clark, editor of Doctor Who Online, said the show 'embraced rather than divided’. He told the Mail on Sunday: 'I think the suggestion the show is racist is ridiculous.”

The BBC said: 'Doctor Who has a strong track record of diverse casting among both regular and guest cast. Freema Agyeman became the first black companion (and was thoroughly hated) and Noel Clarke starred in a major role for five years [Mickey Smith] (major role, lol).

“Reflecting the diversity of the UK is a duty of the BBC, and casting on Doctor Who is colour-blind. It is always about the best actors for the roles.”

Attack the Block director Joe Cornish is reportedly one of the top contenders to take over for J.J. Abrams on Star Trek 3. Take a look at these tweets from Latino Review's El Mayimbe, then read on for more about the sequel.

Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams revealed last month that he may still direct Star Trek 3, but that may not happen for a long time, since he is currently working on Star Wars: Episode VII, which is slated for release in 2015. Writer Damon Lindelof revealed earlier this month that Star Trek 3 may center on the Klingons, and that the villainous John Harrison (Benedict Cumberbatch) may be back as well.

Joe Cornish made his feature directorial debut with Attack the Block. He also co-wrote the screenplay for The Adventures of Tintin, and is working on the Ant-Man script with director Edgar Wright.

Nothing official has been announced for Star Trek 3 at this time, so stay tuned.
Star Trek 3 comes to theaters in 2016.

The Voice UK will return for a third series, the BBC has revealed.

It was suggested yesterday that a third run of the singing competition will be confirmed soon. The current second series of the reality show has experienced steadily rising ratings, with the April 20 edition hitting a series high of 7.92m.

The Sun revealed earlier today (May 25) that a source had alleged that the show would be back for a third series.

They said: "The Beeb feels it's a great show and you need to pay the big bucks for programmes like that."

The BBC has now confirmed via Twitter that the The Voice UK will return in 2014.

After tonight's (May 25) latest episode of the show, it tweeted: "*NEWS* We can confirm that @BBCTheVoiceUK will return for a third series."

The tweet also included a link to The Voice UK's series three open audition page on the BBC website.

No surprise considering the BBC picked up it's contract BEFORE IT EVEN STARTED through 2014. So glad its ratings flop - last night saw the lowest ratings ever - so they learn not to jump the gun.

Jean-Benoît Dunckel talks about his new project with Lou Hayter, confirms Air's hiatus :(

There is a real bond between these two. And the duo works perfectly. Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Lou Hayter will appear tomorrow night at 106 in Rouen founded Tomorrow's World. Half of the Air and The New Sins, the sweet voice, met through a mutual friend and ended up in the home studio of Versailles. Just for the pleasure of working together. In early April, Tomorrow's World has released its first album, pop, synthetic and kinematics. This is the group of the moment.

You have a duo with Air an another with  Tomorrow's World. Is this a coincidence?

Jean-Benoît Dunckel: "When you're alone, it's less fun. This is why I conduct projects with other artists. With Lou, I understand, we are well fed. The main objective to form duets, it's fun, fun. Here we toured. There is public transportation is less funny. But in the studio, I loved working with her. "

You never work alone?

"Yes, sometimes I work alone. I do not see myself leading a project alone. It is a matter of personality. I believe that music should be written by a group of musicians. I play better. I'm still like a child. "

How was the meeting with Lou Hayter?

"Our duo worked immediately. Initially, we only had to write one. Finally, we wrote an album. We begin a tour and we turn videos. "

Write a song second, then a third was it more complicated?

"No, not necessarily. Writing a song is like a journey. We feel if the group is strong enough to go further. We wanted to work together again. But in the end, I could not go. It is not easy to understand the other, to find all its qualities. Lou has a new wave feel with electronic tracks. She loves serious pieces. "

What is the recipe for a duo work?

"It is important to work with someone who is different, complementary, with a person who has a different vision of music, another musical angle. It is necessary that one takes care of the other melodies and harmonies and a first and a second marketing of art. A band today is so complicated that it is necessary to have multiple skills. "

What have you gained from Lou Hayter?

"She gave me a British and global vision of the song and what level of language production."

She also has a unique voice.

"Yes, I love her voice."

Where does this very cinematic atmosphere come from?

"Music is in fact a trigger that allows a mental panorama, uncapping of dreams. When I play music, it triggers in me all these things. music must leave room for the imagination. "

What is Air?

"The group is on a hiatus. It will return later most likely. "

I hope they regroup soon because Tomorrow's World is NOT where it's at.
*Thanks Google for translating

One Direction's Liam Payne & Zayn Malik thank the "gangster" who created Twister ice cream

$

One Direction star Liam Payne has taken to Twitter this morning to express his and band mate Zayn Malik’s gratitude to the “inventor” of Twister ice creams!

He wrote, “I just like to say a big thank you to the man/woman who made twister ice creams your a gangster from liam payne and zayn malik” (sic)

And despite the fact that Liam needs to learn the difference between ‘your’ as in, belongs to you, and ‘you’re’ which is ‘you are’, (If they saw the rest of his tweets they'd probably be thankful he even spelled 'your' right) it’s no doubt going to delight the manufacturer of the cold treats to know that the biggest boy band on the planet enjoy their products.

Yesterday, Liam tweeted about his joy regarding the upcoming stadium tour Where We Are, and he pointed out to fans that due to overwhelming demand for tickets – the sites selling them repeatedly crashed as thousands and thousands of Directioners tried to buy their precious tickets (And he was surprised because...?)– more dates and venues had been added to the tour.

Did you manage to get tickets? Or were you one of the many thousands who were left disappointed to find the gigs are all sold out?

Christy Romano outs a Jonas Brother? talks about Disney girls

As many of you know, I am new to posting on this blog but I find it to always be pertinent to address the issue of child actors.

Partly because I was one, but mostly because they are a minuscule minority in this world and one of (if not the most) endangered groups of people on the planet.

It seems everyday I see in the news another kid I grew up with is falling apart, mentally, physically, spiritually. The purpose of this post is NOT to point out the lack of bad press (or any at all) that I received throughout my teens and twenties and it is not a “I’m better than them” rant. I’M NOT PERFECT. I just wanna vent really about what it feels like to be a part of this.

Now 29, I can happily hope I will dodge the public eye and continue in my industry for reasons other than public attention. I will aim to do the best work I can do as a business woman and soon become a mom. For the first time, I’m focused on being the healthiest person I can be, but it wasn’t always that way.

Lets all be honest, if you are over 16, you have made some sort of mistake, rebelled in some fashion, or pissed off someone that you used to date. The only difference is that child actors do this whilst being expected to deliver as a commodity. Rarely are their parents giving them unconditional love. They find themselves off-course with life when their transition into adult actor is greeted by a steep drop-off of attention and money. They feel worthless and their confidence is shattered.

If you are a normal 20 something – you don’t have to feel this alone, or if you do and you rebel – its not exploited by the media and the social climbers that leech on to these beacons of vulnerability.

Having had a nearly positive experience, I am a huge advocate for these people to live below the radar in these formative years – but how can they when their publicists are telling them to go out there and “be seen” or date some huge producer for the month to cover up that he’s really dating a ton of Disney girls cause he’s gay. Let’s face it – the actors (male and female) that stay out of trouble are the ones that educate themselves and STAY BUSY.

I am so worried about the future of females in my industry sometimes. Not just that, but these new batch of squeaky clean girls. They all go down the same track – the only difference is which one is being exonerated for making their “bra-burning” moment the most fashionable (case in point “Spring Breakers”). Just cause the movie is in festivals doesn’t mean you didn’t pimp yourself out…

I was watching Sony’s Amy Pascal on Forbes.com talk about how women in the entertainment industry need to show up and not take no for an answer to equalize the pay gap between men and women. But how can the future females be taken seriously when these other girls are so confused and perpetually setting us back and it will continue when the new batch takes over and so on.
They aren’t up for the responsibility, so why are we giving it to them?
