On the season finale of Fresh Off the Boat, Eddie Huang tries to watch Chris Rock's Bring the Pain (the show is set in the 90s) but his brothers stop him from watching it. Finally Eddie convinces them to watch it with him. Evan takes a crack at Chris Rock by saying that he is glad he doesn't make lame Asian jokes. This was in responds to Rock's racist joke from the Oscars.

Last Whites of the East End BBC doc accused of being racist

The BBC recently aired a controversial documentary called "Last Whites of the East End" which has drawn the ire of those who say it is KKK-style propaganda and praise of others. (Conversation on Twitter can be tracked through the hashtag #LastWhitesoftheEastEnd)

The documentary claims that:
- 73% of of Newham, London is made up of ethnic minorities
- Newham has the lowest percentage of white people in all of London
- 70,000 immigrants have moved into Newham over the last 15 years
- With 147 different languages spoken, Newham is the most "multicultural" spot in the UK
- All of the above reasons are why white people are leaving Newham and Cockney culture is dying out


A spokesperson for the BBC said in response: "The documentary Last Whites of the East End sets out to explore the impact of rapid change on long standing communities in the East End of London and to discover why some people are choosing to leave the area.

The film features a wide range of people voicing their personal opinions and shows many different facets of life in Newham, exploring both positive and negative views across a variety of issues."

Alice Through The Looking Glass was expected to pull in monumental numbers as a holiday weekend blockbuster, the family film’s ticket sales fell far short on the heels of allegations that the film’s star, Johnny Depp, had been abusive towards his wife, Amber Heard.

Alice 2 came in second to X-Men: Apocalypse. Pulling in $9.7 million from 3,763 locations on Friday for a $40 million – $41 million debut – 65% down from 2010’s Alice in Wonderland release, which brought in $116 million.

Critics are pointing to Johnny Depp's domestic violence against Amber Heard to be affecting the movie's dismal opening stats.

• She says Johnny never abused her throughout their marriage (1983-1985).

• They are still friends. She last spoke to him a week ago to console him over his mother's death.

Casting Director Defends Selection of Harry Styles for Dunkirk

Harry Styles, being part of the highly anticipated Nolan directed movie Dunkirk, has raised more than a few eyebrows. John Papsidera, the casting director of Dunkirk, talked to the Sunday People and set the record straight on how Harry Styles got the role:
- Harry auditioned several times and did multiple readings for Dunkirk.
- His talent, ambition, and hard work landed him the role.
- Showed passion and succeeded at every challenge thrown at him, winning the role by his own accord.
- Beat out a number of well-known, trained actors because his take was fresh and interesting.
- His immense popularilty was more of a disadvantage bec. Nolan was looking for new faces.
- Both Papsidera and Nolan knew of Harry the boyband member, but aren't followers of his career.

Depp's lawyers claim Heard's request for restraining order was a response to negative media coverage

  • In court papers responding to Heard's request for a restraining order against Depp, Laura Wasser--Depp's lawyer--wrote: “Amber is attempting to secure a premature financial resolution by alleging abuse. Her current application for a temporary restraining order along with her financial requests appear to be in response to the negative media attention she received earlier this week after filing for divorce.”

  • Wasser claims that Depp has not heard Amber's specific allegations, but will stay away from her.

    Lily-Rose has also broken her silence

    Vanessa Paradis, who was with Johnny Depp for 14 years, defended the father of her children. TMZ obtained a letter written by Vanessa where she described Johnny as a loving and sensitive person. She added that it's outrageous that Johnny's being accused of domestic violence because in the number of years that they were together, he was never physically abusive to her.


    Daughter Lily-Rose also had this to say on social media:
    My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same

    The purpose of this interview is to help promote the charity Mencap and to talk about his cousin and friend Laurent, who has severe learning disabilities and lives in special housing assisted by the charity.



    On Laurent:

    "I feel lucky knowing Laurent, knowing someone with Down’s syndrome. He’s incredibly empathetic; his emotional intelligence is hugely in tune. On many occasions when I’m a little sad, no one apart from Laurent will notice. He’ll come and sit next to you, give you a big hug. He has time that other people don’t. I have great admiration for him."

    Laurent spends most the interview winding Kit up.

    "You’d be mistaken to think Laurent doesn’t know the situation. He knows it’s a photoshoot, he knows I’m an actor, so he wants to make me look like a prick." lmao

    "“Walking past a Disney store with Laurent is a nightmare. He will not leave until you get him something. One time in Westfield [shopping centre] we completely lost him in there. We had to call his mum, who was, like, ‘Oh no, red alert!’"

    On Rose Leslie:

    He says he fell in love with Rose while shooting Game of Thrones in Iceland under the Northern Lights.

    Sense8 cast sings 'What's Going On?' with fans during Brazil's Pride Parade + Filming Pics!

    The Sensates (+ Daniela, Amanita, Hernando and Lana) were in Brazil filming during Brazil's Pride Parade, and managed to share some time with the fans and sing 'What's Going On?' on the streets.



    Also, there's apparently gonna be a lot of Hernando + Lito in Brazil. They're both traveling to Brazil's Pride Parade.


    And i guess that since Lito is out, they'll be front and center during the parade. They kissed with balloons and everything <3


    Also, if anyone was wondering, Alfonso Herrera (Hernando) will be doing both 'Sense8' and his new show 'The Exorcist' since his filming days during Sense8 mostly take place in Mexico during a few weeks. And it's airing friday nights at FOX, lbr, it's DOA.

    “I think that’s what you need as an actor; you need to not be afraid to find out who you really are when the camera’s rolling. Keira’s thing is to hide who you are and I don’t think you can be an actor and do that .
    It’s not like I hate the Hollywood thing but I like to work with curious, proper film actors as opposed to movie stars. I don’t want to rubbish Keira, but you know it’s hard being a film actor and it requires a certain level of honesty and self-analysis that I don’t think she’s ready for yet and I certainly don’t think she was ready for that on film.”

    -Brother confirms he's been missing since early Sunday morning.
    -Last seen after leaving a party with his girlfriend in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas.
    -Several trucks surrounded his car and six masked men took him away by force.
    -His girlfriend was released and left unharmed in the car park where he was taken.
    -Three different federal agencies are working to find him.
