Elementary: Going Green On The Elementary Set.

On the New York set of the CBS Thursday night drama "Elementary," steps are being taken to reduce water, plastic and paper waste. "Plastic bottles are a no-no. At the beginning of the season the production purchased bottles everyone can fill before they come to work, and we have coolers all over the set," reports executive producer Rob Doherty. Scripts and sides are transmitted electronically, he adds. "Virtually everything comes as a PDF. If you need a hard copy, you can print it, but we don't blindly assume everyone needs it."

Star Lucy Liu does her part by not driving. "I take public transportation. I have the Metro card and that works on the bus, too. There's a convenience there," says the native New Yorker. "You can walk everywhere, and you can ride a bicycle, which I do a lot. Sometimes when we have an hour break, which sometimes we have, I run to the museum — the Guggenheim, if we're uptown shooting — or see a show if we get out early enough."

Liu relishes playing Dr. Joan Watson, the eccentric Sherlock Holmes' (Jonny Lee Miller) sober companion and confidante. "I love that she's sort of becoming more of the heart of the story and there's a human aspect to her that I love playing," she says. Portraying "a more cerebral character," adds the action flick veteran, "I also love the idea that I get to do something where I don't have to go around doing martial arts."

She also enjoys the relationship between Watson and Sherlock. "The chemistry between the two characters brings out the best in each other. I think that she respects him highly and cares about him deeply. I don't know that she completely accepts the way that he treats other people; because of his brilliance it can kind of cancel out some of the rude behavior that he has. I don't know that she always agrees with him and also she's a little bit confused about his living habits, his sexual habits, but her job is not to be there to judge."

As the #1 scripted new show, "Elementary" won the coveted post-Super Bowl slot this Sunday, Feb. 3, a vote of confidence and support from the network, says Liu. "We feel very honored about that." The episode will be "a little more colorful and heightened, a little sexier than normal — a different kind of sexy."In deference to viewers who may tune into the show for the first time that night, the episode will contain a bit more exposition and back tracking than usual, "but after that it will move forward in a much more clear, bolder format where we don't have to explain everything," she promises.

Although the show's storylines are rather dark, "We try to keep it light on the set," says Liu. "At lunch, there will be someone missing an arm or you'll see Jonny with a bullet in his head or a knife hanging out of his back. It's a funny environment to be in."

‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ Set In 70's

Casting agencies often reveal information about the movies they’re assembling casts for. It’s a common practice in the industry to let actors and actresses known what they’re auditioning for after all. However, they also unintentionally let fans who scour the internet for any tidbit of new info know some previously unknown information regarding their favorite upcoming motion pictures as well. Earlier this week, a casting call for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’let us know when the crew will be in New York City for their shoot, and now thanks to another casting announcement, we have some new information about another highly anticipated Marvel movie.

According to ColliderBryan Singer’ ‘X-Men:Days of Future Past’ will be set in the 70s. Specifically, the post says that the majority of the film will take place in 1973, which is eleven years after Matthew Vaughn’s 2011 X-Men film. Previously, we knew that time and time travel would be playing an important part in the story as Singer has been adding many cast members fro previous films in the franchise like Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Hugh Jackman, but maybe it won’t be set in the dystopian future as much as we first anticipated if “most of the film takes place in 1973” Additionally, like the Spider-Man casting call, we’ve learned that the production schedule has been set for mid-February until August of this year in Montreal, Canada.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and many more is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2014.

1 and 2
Monday's episode definitely looks interesting. I like how it's going to address one of the questions that people here seemed to be asking as to what exactly made people fall for Carroll and how even Ryan fell for him a bit now please show more of Mike falling for Ryan I mean what. In general I love the marketing that they do for this show, especially the IamforeverNEVERMORE YouTube channel and the Tumblr. Once again this post has been brought to you by actual fanboy Mike Weston.

An extended look at The History Channel's upcoming "Bible" series has been released on Friday. The 4-minute clip reveals powerful scenes involving the Bible's most beloved figures during gut-wrenching Biblical events.

As previously announced, the "Bible" will debut on The History Channel on March 3. Married couple Mark Burnett and Roma Downey created the epic 10-part miniseries, which will bridge the Old Testament with the New Testament, or as Burnett said, "from Genesis to Revelation" with several in-depth portrayals of Bible stories.

Burnett, who created the television series "Survivor," explained that the series is "a great story that happens to be our faith" while speaking to The Christian Post.
"'The Bible' is going to be seen by millions of people, and it looks like a $100 million feature film," added the creator of "The Apprentice."
Meanwhile, Downey, best known for her role on "Touched by an Angel," explained that she and her husband conceived the idea for the series on Scripture three years ago.
"I've loved Jesus all my life," said Downey speaking to CP. "It's a passion project for Mark and myself."

The Christian Post was able to preview segments of "The Bible" last month, and Burnett and Downey revealed a colorful, captivating take on some of the most important stories in the Christian religion.
While sometimes violent, "The Bible" offers visually enchanting depictions of well-known and beloved Biblical characters. Noah's Ark, the Exodus, Abraham, and the birth, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ are among the Bible stories covered in the highly anticipated television series.
The series sees stars such as "Game of Thrones" actors Sean Bean and Nonso Anozie, while Roma Downey herself portrays Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Following its March 3 premiere, remaining episodes of "The Bible" will air each Sunday with the finale arriving on Easter Sunday, March 31.

Smoking weed in her apartment, annoying neighbors with that herbal scent.

Amanda Bynes is currently packing up her NYC apartment ... and moving somewhere else ... after her landlord threatened to evict the actress claiming she's a disrespectful rule-breaker ... TMZ has learned.

Sources at the apartment tell us ... Bynes got a letter from building management earlier this month explaining that her lease would be terminated ... because she's a building nuisance.

We're told management made the decision after getting several complaints of marijuana smoke coming from her apartment -- "morning, noon and night." Sources say she was also seen smoking weed in the hallways.

FYI -- it's a non-smoking building.

The moving trucks are currently on-site. So far, no word on where she plans to live next.

Based on her insta photo w/ her dermal piercing I figured she was back in Los Angeles because she was driving a car but I guess she's still in NYC laying low, enjoying life.

It's safe to say Chris Brown isn't having the best week.

After reportedly getting into a physical altercation with Frank Ocean at a recording studio Sunday, the "Don't Wake Me Up" crooner was pulled over for speeding in Beverly Hills Friday, E! News has confirmed.

Brown was issued a citation and let go without incident, according to a spokesperson for the Beverly Hills Police Department.

Meanwhile, Ocean isn't letting Brown off the hook so easily.

Although officials haven't filed charges just yet, the Pink Matter singer said he wants Brown charged for their scuffle over a parking space in West Hollywood.

49ers' Ahmad Brooks, Isaac Sopoaga Deny Participating In 'It Gets Better' Gay Youth Video

A series of anti-gay remarks made by San Francisco 49ers cornerback Chris Culliver cast the Super Bowl-bound team in a negative light just days ahead of the NFL championship game.

Though Culliver has since apologized for the controversial statements, the backlash seems unlikely to dissipate now that a new wrinkle has emerged. The 49ers' linebacker Ahmad Brooks and nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga, both of whom participated in the team's widely-praised "It Gets Better" video last summer, have denied ever producing the clip.

The players told USA Today Sports that they didn't realize the video's aim was to specifically combat bullying experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) teens.

"This is America and if someone wants to be gay, they can be gay," Brooks told the publication. "But I didn't make any video." Later, after he was reportedly shown the video on an iPhone, the player clarified, "Oh, that. It was an anti-bullying video, not a gay [rights] video."

Even more curiously, Sopoaga similarly denied taking part in the clip, even as a teammate reportedly tried to jog his memory. "I never went," he declared. "And now someone is using my name."

UPDATE: LGBT rights advocate and "It Gets Better" project founder Dan Savage has responded to Brooks' and Sopoaga's claims, confirming that the 49ers' video has been removed from his site:

As The New Civil Rights Movement points out, this could be the very first time an "It Gets Better" video has been removed from Savage's campaign website under such circumstances.

Meanwhile, the firestorm over Culliver's statements (he told Artie Lange that he "don't do the gay guys, man" and that an openly gay player would not be welcome on his football team) continues to rage, even though team officials have released a statement saying they "proudly support the LGBT community."

Interestingly, Culliver's comments initially came on the heels of news that former 49ers offensive tackle Kwame Harris was in court on assault charges from an ex-boyfriend. Though Harris last played for the 49ers in 2007, many former teammates quickly came to his defense in the media.

A petition has since been launched on change.org asking the NFL to send Culliver to spend a day with the New York Gay Football League.

"This will give him an opportunity to see that openly gay players perform just as well as heterosexual players," the petition's organizer, Christian Fuscarino, writes. "It will also allow him to ask questions and speak with members of the team."

We Can All Quit: Sesame Street Did A Spoof Called Upside Downton Abbey

Will Sesame Street ever stop being awesome? We think not. Especially because you know their target audience won’t exactly get this or appreciate Muppet Carson nearly as much as we do. I can hear the staff meeting now: “Should we do a Downton Abbey spoof? They are on the same network as us, after all.” “I don’t know, it might go over kids’ heads.” “Screw it, this is gonna be great.” At least we all learned an important lesson about gravity.
