Though her color choices weren't surprising, Mara still stunned in a custom white Lanvin gown, complete with dramatic structural cloth petals on one shoulder, that outlined her sleek, hourglass figure. She swiped the darkest shade of berry onto her lips, making them look Goth black from certain angles, pulled her hair back into a tight bun, and then smized her heart out — because Ice Queen Rooney never cracks an actual smile.

The 28-year-old actress was joined at the event by her older sister Kate Mara, 30.
Earlier in the day, Kate‘s television series House of Cards received four nominations from the Golden Globes, including Best Television Series – Drama. It is up against Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, The Good Wife, and Masters of Sex.
