No wife ever wants to be able to say "I told you so!" in this case. After Hugh Jackman's wife of 17 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, became concerned by a mark on the Oscar nominee's nose, he got it checked out by a doctor.
Posting a picture of his bandage-covered nose on Instagram, Jackman, 45, shared the troubling news, "Deb said to get the mark on my nose checked. Boy, was she right! I had a basil cell carcinoma. Please don't be foolish like me. Get yourself checked. And USE sunscreen!!!"
Basal-cell carcinoma is a form of skin cancer and is the most common form of cancer today. It rarely kills, but it can cause disfigurement or destruction to the skin and surrounding tissues, and is therefore still considered malignant.
The Wolverine star offered no further details on his condition, but appears to have gotten the mark removed.
