Drake is again being sued by a stylist he hired last year, as TMZ reports. Michael Raphael, who sued Drake in August for unpaid services, has now filed a $50,000 lawsuit through his jewelry company, Baden Baden Inc.
According to TMZ, the suit claims that in January, Drake hired Raphael for $49,204, to produce diamond-studded platinum necklaces of his October's Very Own owl logo (which Drake has used for years). The designer claims Drake replicated knockoffs of the design for his friends. Raphael is suing Drake for copyright infringement and "demanding unspecified damages," according to TMZ. He has also asked the court to make Drake give him the alleged knockoffs.
In the previous lawsuit, Raphael claimed Drake owed him $76,490 for consulting, travel, and shopping expenses. Drake hired Raphael in August 2012 at a monthly rate of $39,583 for styling, clothing and graphic design for his company OVO, brand direction, photography, and more. Raphael claimed that payment stopped in December 2012.
