Broadway/Hollywood notable Geoffrey Rush is poised to take his Australian stage role in the hit Tony Award-winning Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone to the silver screen in a film he will star in and produce next year.
Screenwriter and The Drowsy Chaperone bookwriter Don McKellar himself confirmed the long-rumored news earlier this week, while out promoting his new feature film THE GRAND SEDUCTION at the Toronto International Film Festival.

I wonder how this will be adapted to a movie since it's a play within a play? I'm hopeful but Hollywood has failed me more times then not with Broadway adaptations. Any dream casting? Think they'll go older or younger with the Chaperone?
