Unfortunately, for Lady Gaga, things aren't looking so bright. Her song "Burqa" has received almost universal bad press. Some have even gone as far to say that the song promotes raping Muslim women. Others have noted that the song sounds like a desperate attempt to latch onto the EDM phase.
Speaking of desperate, Lady Gaga released a pornographic video depicting herself making animal noises and running naked through the forest. Some of Lady Gaga's fans consider the clip "art," but most people consider it a desperate attempt to promote her already poorly received album ARTPOP.
Lady Gaga is going to take the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25. It's said to be the first performance since her claims of cancelling her tour due to hip surgery. However, many have claimed foul play and suggest the hip surgery is a cover up for bad ticket sales and facial plastic surgery.
