Our must-read, must-watch list just keeps getting bigger—really, it's becoming downright unwieldy! But nevertheless, we've gotta cram one more item on there: the exciting sci-fi novel "Elusion," which is such a hot prospect that it's already bound for Hollywood even though the book isn't out until March.
According to Deadline, the book by Claudia Gabel and Cheryl Klam has been picked up for a movie adaptation by Silver Reel and FlynnPictureCo.
Following in the footsteps of mind-bending thrillers like "Inception,""Strange Days" and "Total Recall,""Elusion" is a story that takes place in one of the weirdest, wildest, most potentially horrifying settings possible: inside the HUMAN BRAIN. In it, two teenagers discover that their favorite game—an alternate reality journey that uses hypnosis to transport players into another, inner universe—is anything but a harmless leisure activity. Ah yes: because it's all fun and games, until somebody loses their mind.
"Elusion" will be out in March 2014, with a sequel, "Etherworld," slated for 2015.
