Chris Brown has said he understands why some members of the public dislike him.
The 'Forever' singer reflected on his 2009 domestic dispute with Rihanna on the MTV series This is How I Made It, admitting that he can see why some are still angry at him even though he's made peace with Rihanna.
"I can't hate people for making judgment on me, or making a decision of liking me or not liking me," Brown commented.
He further explained: "All I can do is try to better as a person. And I'm good with knowing everything isn't always going to be perfect."
Brown went on to say that he feels happy to have made great strides in redeeming his public image over the last year.
"[People are] always gonna know me for situations and life obstacles," he said.
"For me to have that achievement [of winning a Grammy Award], and to go through people's whole opinions changing of me, to get personal opinion back and having to gain personal success back – it's not all the way back, you know – but it's been one of my most humbling experiences."
Brown and Rihanna have publicly rekindled their friendship, with persistent rumors of a renewed romance also making headlines.
His episode of This is How I Made It airs Saturday, October 27 at 12pm ET on MTV.
