As a special envoy to the United Nations, actress Angelina Jolie doesn't usually get nervous in crowds.
So when dozens of smiling locals greeted her very warmly as she touched down in Oahu, Hawaii Sunday, the 38-year-old smiled back and indulged in small talk with her fans as she made her way through the airport.
The Girl, Interrupted actress was accompanied on the trip with her two eldest sons, Maddox, 11 and nine-year-old Pax as she returns back to work after her elective mastectomy.
Jolie will reportedly bring in her other four children to stay with her on the island while she films Unbroken.
Unbroken will be The Changeling's star second turn at directing, having already helmed in The Land of Blood and Honey.
Unbroken is based on the novel by Laura Hillenbrand about the heroic tale of Olympian-turned-WWII prisoner-of-war Louis Zamperini. It will be filmed on location throughout the 50th state.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and their six kids will live in Oahu, Hawaii for eight weeks while Angie directs.
Hollywood's most famous family has been traveling quite a bit lately.
Just this week, they all visited London, Paris and Berlin within three days to promote Brad’s new zombie thriller flick, World War Z.
Angelina also made a stop in New York June 24 to speak at the United Nations Security Council Meeting about Women and Peace and Security and Sexual Violence in Conflict at the UN Headquarters.
A Special Envoy for the UNCHR, Jolie criticized the UN Security Council powers for their lack of action over wartime rapes.
The Jolie-Pitt children are no stranger to sticking to their mother's side as she directs. Maddox, Pax, plus Zahara, 8, Shiloh, 7, and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne all visited Angie on set while she directed In the Land of Blood and Honey in Hungary in 2010.

Wow, Maddox got so big, or maybe i am still used to seeing him carried by Jolie. Pax is adorable! I am glad she is back to directing. I'd love to see her directing a sci-fi or big action movie with strong feminist undertones, or maybe even a comedy.
