After serving a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence for an altercation with one of the mothers of his children, Lyfe Jennings is back with a forthcoming new album, and a reality show. Yup, Lyfe is one of the recent musicians to land a reality show, called "Our Life."
Jennings told Madame Noir the show will feature him, his children, and their mothers, much like the canceled TLC reality series featuring rapper Shawty Lo and his 10 baby mamas, but he aims to keep it "ratchet-free."
"I actually shot the first episode for the reality show that I have the other day. It was horrible but I mean we are working on it," he said. "I try to stay rachet-free. I have three children’s mothers so sometimes the rachetness just finds me."
The "Hypothetically" singer reveals that his domestic situation is more toned down in comparison to Shawty Lo's, hence the reason networks approached him. "Shawty Lo had too many baby mamas and it was too rachet so they were like, 'Let's tone it down from five or six to three, and see if we can get away with that,'" he said.
But the show will be less about the adults in the equation, and more about the children. "It’s from their perspective. They narrate the whole thing," he said.
No word about when and on which network "Our Life" will air. Will you be watching?
