Liam Payne was far from impressed last night when he was woken up by fans who kept ringing his hotel room, prompting the One Direction hottie to launch a furious rant on Twitter.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star and his bandmates, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, are gearing up for their show in Atlanta tonight so were no doubt hoping to catch up on their beauty sleep and get a good rest ahead of the concert.

However, any chance of some peace and quiet was rudely interrupted by fans of the boy band who persistently began ringing each of their hotel rooms in the hopes that they would answer, but it clearly wasn't the right time for Liam who was furious with the pranks.

“Whoever is ringing our rooms please stop it's not funny ur just p***ing everyone off,” Liam wrote on Thursday night in a series of tweets.

“Next time it's ur day off school nd u fancy a ly in il call u n see how u like it? Why? I'm sorry for being mad but I do t get to sleep all that often cuz we travel every day the one day I don't have to travel.”

He added: “Hi everyone can u stop having a go at that girl cuz it's not nice despite what she said. Lol thanks to everyone who now hates me sorry for being honest.”

The rant comes just days after Liam complained yet again about his lack of sleep and being woken up by eager fans.

“Trying to sleep through people shouting names .... Jet lag hurts at this point,” the 20-year-old tweeted on June 9.

Admitting that he isn't exactly a morning person, Liam explained a few days later: “Read some articles saying I'm mad over this whole sleep thing aha I'm not mad at anyone how could I be? I'm just grouchy in the morning ahaa.”

One Direction will resume their tour at the Philips Arena in Atlanta tonight and will perform in Raleigh and Washington D.C. over the weekend.
