More Amanda Bynes ramblings

Amanda Bynes continues to defend—and promote—herself via Twitter.

"The DA and my lawyer talked today," the starlet tweeted Monday. "They have no proof of drugs on me or around me at anytime during the arrest of after. All I'm becoming is more famous! Thanks for lying about me!"

Bynes is of course referring to her May 23 arrest after, according to police, she threw a bong out of her New York apartment window when cops came to her door in response to a call about a disorderly person in the building. She has been charged with reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and criminal possession of marijuana.

In response to Bynes' latest confident-sounding update on the proceedings, the New York County District Attorney's Office tells E! News that her case remains open and pending, and a court date is on the books for July 7.

Attorney Richard Hutton, who secured a plea deal for Bynes in Los Angeles on a suspended-license charge and is working on her still pending DUI case in Beverly Hills, told us last week that—though he's not representing her in NYC—it was his understanding that the D.A. had "no physical evidence to connect her to any of the charges."

In addition to tweeting last week that her lawyer was busy getting her case dropped, the 27-year-old starlet also accused one of the officers who arrested her of sexual assault and threatened to sue the NYPD for illegally entering her apartment.

The NYPD denied any misconduct or wrongdoing on its part having to do with Bynes' arrest.

As the Amanda Bynes saga continues to unfold, some of the troubled actress’ earliest collaborators are speaking out.

“All That” cast members Katrina Johnson and Alisa Reyes are concerned about their former co-star, sharing their thoughts with Celebuzz.

“I would say it’s all fun and games because it is entertainment, but not when the police are involved,” says Johnson. “I was hoping it was a publicity stunt, but there are so many different cases [against her now] I’m starting to worry.”

Reyes believes Bynes “doesn’t have the best of influences.”
