Alison Mosshart can't believe she's created something you can "actually" wear on your body.
The Kills frontwoman has teamed up with streetwear label Surface to Air to create her dream item of clothing. Putting pen to paper has left Alison wondering whether she will try her hand at more fashion ventures in the future. "Let's just see how this goes," she said to Style.com.
"I'm really happy it's coming out, and I really hope people like it. It's pretty cool to see something you drew on hotel stationery turn into an actual thing you can wear on your body."
The star is famed for her cool style and often steps out in a biker jacket. Alison, 34, took inspiration from her ideal fashion piece while designing. "I live in a leather jacket and a T-shirt," she explained. "But I wanted the leather jacket I didn't have. I've been looking for a biker fringe '70s jacket with an '80s cut and skinny arms, and I can never find it." Now, the star has seen her perfect coat come to life.
The $1,200 jacket also has a star-studded collar and a colorful lining. "I knew exactly what I wanted, and I just drew it," she smiled. "I love when you can open up a sleeve and push it away from your wrist, so I was aware that the inside would be showing quite a bit."
Along with the leather jacket, Alice has also designed a black and white T-shirt for the label
