Suits season two has now wrapped on both US and UK television screens, but from today (May 13) you can enjoy all 16 episodes again at your leisure on DVD.

Digital Spy spoke to actor Gabriel Macht, who told us all about season two and even gave us a few spoilers about the next season of Suits - expect a few shocking truths to be revealed!

The super-smooth Macht also told us how hard he finds it to play his suave character Harvey Specter, though in all honestly, we're not sure we believe him...

The Suits season two finale felt like a game-changer - is the next season something of a reboot?
"Yes and no. Season three, I'll let you know, happens like… three days later than the final episode of season two. So it's not like too many things are actually changing - the momentum of the drama that exists is continuing forward and it's going pretty fast, as far as changes in the team dynamic within the law firm.

"As you probably know, the merger has happened and - as we call it - there's a British Invasion. You're either for that invasion or you're against, and as much as I'm for bringing some terrific British actors into the game, Harvey is against this invasion!

"I love it, because we've got some terrific actors - Conleth Hill and Michelle Fairley and Max Beesley are on board, and we're having a great time on set with all of them. But Harvey is fully against this merger - he wants out.

"I'll give you a tiny little spoiler - Harvey doesn't want to be involved with any of them, so you're going to see him make a play. He is enraged with how Jessica (Gina Torres) has gone behind his back, he's completely cut Mike (Patrick J Adams) off and he's ready to high-tail out of there… I can't believe I just used that word."

"High-tail"?
"Yeah (laughs) - I don't think I've ever used that word before!"

The final season two episodes had Harvey more on the back foot than we're using to seeing - was that fun for you to play?
"Yeah, that's great. I mean, look, for a guy who talks about himself as the best closer in New York, and he's a winner and all of this stuff… what's great about this character is that they set him up to be this smooth criminal who can talk his way out of anything and close every deal...

"But the reality is… you see him losing. He's losing throughout the season, which is great. You see his insecurities come up, he's questioning loyalties around the office and he's got his own ulterior motives - I think it's great to see him unbalanced.

"It's not as challenging to play because I think we're all trying to find our balance throughout our day-to-day interactions with anyone. That's easier to play because we're all connected to that - it's actually harder to play this beefed-up confidence all the time."

Is Harvey's confidence going to take another hit next season, since he's cut off from Jessica and Mike?
"Look, I think some of his confidence is bluster - it's his way to overcompensate for what's going on inside of him. But he's a very ambitious guy and he's not just gonna take a back seat. He makes decisions that could be potential errors of judgement, that take him in different directions."

Harvey had a tragic love affair with Zoe (Jacinda Barrett) that ended badly - do you think he's built for a serious romance?
"I think you're right in saying that Zoe was the girl who got away. I think he really did start to fall for her… I think maybe he didn't connect with what he was really feeling, which is hard for him.

"I think his mother screwed him up so badly that he's gun-shy - I think he saw that Zoe was the girl, he just didn't act on it. I'm hoping that they figure that out."

Some fans think Harvey and Jessica would be a good match…
"That's new to me! In England, people were shipping them, is that the deal?"

They have this slightly flirtatious relationship, so some fans ship them…
"Wow. Here in the States, everyone's shipping Harvey and Donna (Sarah Rafferty) - which I also find strange. It's like… no! She's his secretary - they just don't go there!

"But I can give you one spoiler - we're about to start shooting a flashback episode for season three and there's gonna be some interesting things that we find out about Harvey and one of the women in the firm!"

You also had the flashback episode 'Rewind' in season two - do you enjoy getting to delve into Harvey's past?
"Oh, I love it, because you can see what we were like earlier on. 'Rewind' took place five years ago at the time of his father's death, and the season three flashback episode is going to take place ten years ago, so you're going to see what it was like for Harvey to be at the DA's office and working with Cameron Dennis (Gary Cole) and what went down and how he got out of there.

"You're actually going to see a scene with Harvey's dad - it's a great episode. It's great fun for the fans [to see flashbacks] and it's great fun for us too, because we get to play with [things like] where did Harvey come from? Where did these characters really come from? They're very different back then than they are now, and we see how time has changed them."

Do you know yet who's playing Harvey's father?
"I don't. I got an e-mail saying that he was British and that he was a musician… but don't hold me to that!"

Suits is a hit in the UK and US - do you feel like it's become a flagship show for the USA network?
"I don't know if I'm allowed to say this, but the head of USA is already claiming that. I think we're going to be around for a long time. A lot of people are digging the show.

"So many people come up to me on the street, whether they're in their late seventies or they're like… 13 - it's across the board. People get it and they're hungry for it… and it's great, it's terrific."
