GRAMMY award-winning Pop superstar Lady Gaga was up against with Aung San Suu Kyi, an advocate for democracy in Burma, for the "Most Influential Icon" over the last 10 years by the highly reputable publication, TIME, as part of the 10th anniversary of the TIME 100.
It was the lady political activist, Aung San Suu Kyi, who was voted for the prestigious title. In the process, Lady Gaga just became the 2nd Most Influential Icon of the last 10 years.
Prior to that, Lady Gaga was already voted as the "Most Influential Entertainer" over the last 10 years, with an overwhelming 92% of the total votes against the world-renowned author of the billion-dollar franchise Harry Potter, J.K. Rowling. In the succeeding round, Lady Gaga won over over the likes of U.S. President Barack Obama to become the contender for TIME's Most Influential Public Figure title.
