Taylor Swift‘s much-anticipated fourth studio album Red has leaked in full, and the song many fans were most eager to hear is her duet with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, “Everything Has Changed.” As expected, the track is a spare, elegant guitar-driven ballad with sweet, lovely vocals from Swift, anchored by emotional lyrics and light harmonies from Sheeran. It sounds as much like a live recording of an acoustic jam session as it does like a studio cut, which provides a nice contrast to the highly produced, slick sound of much of Red.
“All I know is you held the door / You’ll be mine and I’ll be yours / All I know since yesterday is / Everything has changed,” the pair sing together on the chorus. It’s certain to please fans of both artists, and doesn’t disappoint on the promise of their precocious songwriting talents.
