Perhaps she is developing a thicker skin, or maybe it's the support of her loving husband...

Whatever the case, Anne Hathaway appeared sprightly and carefree as she stepped out with her doting husband Adam Shulman on Tuesday - despite being a the centre of ridicule yesterday.

On Monday, shock jock Howard Stern laid into the 30-year-old actress in an interview with James Franco, steering the conversation into a biting commentary on 'Hatha-hating'.
But despite her public mauling, Anne had the support of her real leading man as they enjoyed a romantic stroll in the Big Apple today.

Anne was smiling and appeared generally relaxed by the side of her devoted husband of six months.

The Les Miserables star and her 31-year-old man looked to be happily engaged in conversation with one another.

The couple were appropriately wrapped up given the 10 degree conditions, with Adam snuggling up to his wife at one point for extra warmth.

And with such a devoted chap by her side, Anne probably doesn't give a hoot about the 'Hatha-haters.'

In an interview on Monday, James Franco and Howard Stern openly discussed why 'everyone sort of hates Anne Hathaway'.

Franco, who co-hosted the 2011 Oscars with Anne, revealed that although the pair had made up following the huge public backlash about their presenting skills, they 'haven't talked in a while'.

It was Sirius XM radio show host Howard Stern who really dished the criticism, musing that 'she comes off like the goody two-shoes actress and it's just fun to sort of hate her'.

Spring Breakers star James Franco attempted to remain slightly more neutral, insisting that Stern would need to 'take the lead' on the topic of Anne's hate band-wagon.

She better challenge him on Celebrity Deathmatch. Guess who would win.
