After earning rank on VIBE's Top 20 International EDM Festivals, Melt! 2013 impresses further with a new installment of all-star talent performing July 19th-July 21st lineup. Perched high atop an airy peninsula in Germany, Thom Yorke's latest project Atoms Of Peace will join a sonic slew of acts, including The Knife, Alt-J, James Blake, Solomon, Flying Lotus, Azealia Banks, Disclosure and many others at the Ferropolis site; where enormous hulking machines tower over partygoers, illuminated by the festival’s dizzying light-shows.
Azealia Banks just made her schedule more busy as the young hip hop starlet will be performing at the 2013 Melt! Festival in Ferropolis, Germany. Azealia Banks will hit the stage sometime between July 19th and July 21st along with other acts such as The Knife, James Blake, Solomon, Flying Lotus and many others at the Ferropolis site; where enormous hulking machines tower over partygoers, illuminated by the festival’s dizzying light-shows.
Atoms Of Peace is a five-piece project comprised of Thom Yorke, of Radiohead fame, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, Mauro Refosco and Red Hot Chili Pepper's bass player, Flea, all of whom initially went into the rehearsal studio just to bring Yorke's solo album Eraser to the stage. However, the five musicians' creative energy and chemistry was too massive to simply erase. "Atoms is an ongoing and open ended project, where it leads I know not for certain, which is what is nice about it," Yorke says of the project's future plans.
