Australian born actor, Simon Baker first arrived on American screens in 1997 in Curtis Hanson’s critically acclaimed LA Confidential. The highly praised film marked the beginning to a career of captivating performances and notable collaborations across the film and television spectrum.
Currently starring in the highly successful WB television hit The Mentalist, his portrayal of the charming and irreverent Patrick Jane has won him international stardom and earned him Golden Globe, Emmy and SAG nominations. The highly successful Warner Bros. Television series airs Sundays at 10/9c on CBS, and is currently in its fifth season
His work in films such as Ang Lee’s Ride with the Devil, Michael Winterbottom’s The Killer Inside Me with Casey Affleck, George Romero’s Land of the Dead with Dennis Hopper and David Frankel’s international box office hit The Devil Wears Prada with Meryl Streep, has cemented his reputation as a versatile and charismatic character actor and leading man alike.
An earlier television venture as the title character of CBS’s The Guardian, took him away from the big screen for three years but he returned with a starring role in the sequel to the Dreamworks monster hit, The Ring, with Naomi Watts, the indie Sundance competition favorite, Book of Love and the interracial love story, Something New.
Recently he worked alongside Kevin Spacey and an all- star cast in the critically acclaimed Margin Call, which was recognized with several awards including an academy award nomination for best original screenplay.
He will next be seen in the British comedy, I Give it a Year, with Rose Byrne and Anna Faris, which is currently opening in the UK to great reviews.

He recently joined with Oscar winning producer, Mark Johnson to acquire the Tim Winton novel Breath, which they plan to adapt and co-produce as a feature film.
Baker has recently become the face of Givenchy’s new men’s fragrance, Gentlemen Only and is a brand ambassador for the Swiss watch company, Longines.
His involvement with Artists for Peace and Justice, focused on rebuilding infrastructure in Haiti, led to a friendship with Mending Kids International. He is also involved with the organization, Life Rolls On and their flagship program, They Will Surf Again, which pushes the boundary of possibility for those with spinal cord injuries. He actively supports Planned Parenthood and The Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Trafficking.
Gorgeous man, gorgeous family. Happy for him :) I love that he's BFFs with Robin Tunney. I think Nicole Kidman is the godmother of another one of his kids.
