NBC handed out its 13th comedy pilot order Friday.
The network has picked up a semi-autobiographical comedy written by and starring hot stand-up comedian John Mulaney and executive produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels.
The multicamera comedy is described as young ensemble vehicle loosely based on Mulaney's life.
The Universal Television entry hails from Michaels' Broadway Video shingle and 3 Arts and, should it go to series, would join Broadway's Up All Night at the network -- should the sophomore comedy's upcoming reboot prove successful.
The untitled comedy was one of a handful of projects Michaels' Broadway Video had in development this season, including entries starring Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson and Seth Meyers.
Michaels will exec produce the Mulaney project alongside Andrew Singer, Dave Becky and David Miner.
