Casting agencies often reveal information about the movies they’re assembling casts for. It’s a common practice in the industry to let actors and actresses known what they’re auditioning for after all. However, they also unintentionally let fans who scour the internet for any tidbit of new info know some previously unknown information regarding their favorite upcoming motion pictures as well. Earlier this week, a casting call for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’let us know when the crew will be in New York City for their shoot, and now thanks to another casting announcement, we have some new information about another highly anticipated Marvel movie.

According to ColliderBryan Singer’ ‘X-Men:Days of Future Past’ will be set in the 70s. Specifically, the post says that the majority of the film will take place in 1973, which is eleven years after Matthew Vaughn’s 2011 X-Men film. Previously, we knew that time and time travel would be playing an important part in the story as Singer has been adding many cast members fro previous films in the franchise like Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, and Hugh Jackman, but maybe it won’t be set in the dystopian future as much as we first anticipated if “most of the film takes place in 1973” Additionally, like the Spider-Man casting call, we’ve learned that the production schedule has been set for mid-February until August of this year in Montreal, Canada.

‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult and many more is scheduled to be released on July 18, 2014.
