According to The Hollywood Reporter's sources because of the huge online clamor requesting that Marvel changes Iron Fist's Danny Rand race to Asian they have talked to several Asian-American actors for the role but they are now leaning towards keeping the character White. When THR tried to ask them about this Marvel declined to comment. The article goes on to talk about why they should make Iron Fist Asian, listing the original's cultural appropriation, a new fresh story, and a boost in views from the Asian market.
