Hola, ONTD! One Direction, Little Mix, and Fifth Harmony are frequently posted about here for drama... and sometimes nothing. You may or may not be annoyed by those posts and maybe this one too, but here's a guide to their more musical aspects. All 3 groups are usually linked to each other because of similar #management and formation (The X Factor) and I'll attempt to link this to how it affects their performances. 2/3 groups who shall not be named may not always be the most consistent performers, especially as of late, but i will post what I consider to be their best.
Little Mix
Little Mix's formation was a bit different than the other 2 X Factor groups because there were no stand out auditions, a different boot camp format, and no Simon Cowell. The judges formed Faux Pas (Jesy, Perrie, and 2 others) and Orion (Jade, Leigh, and another girl) to be tested as groups, but both failed to make it. Jesy and Perrie were taken from Faux Pas because of Jesy's beat boxing and Perrie's dominant, powerful voice, while Leigh and Jade were taken from Orion because they created the harmony. The group became the first to win X Factor under Tulisa's guidance and great advice from Kelly Rowland. They are very reminiscent of past girl groups because they focus on delivering harmonies and choreography. Solo distribution is also even, despite judges like Gary and Louis trying to make Perrie the star/focus.

One Direction
One Direction were part of an extremely entertaining X Factor season... Although groups were not formed in boot camp and they were thrown together after failing, there were some amazing indiviual moments! Everyone, but Liam were terrible in the auditions. In fact, Liam was suppose to have a "comeback" story after failing to make it past judges houses in X Factor 2008. Too bad he barely has solos now. Harry is now seen as the frontman to this wannabe indie-rock boyband.
Choreography
1D is quite lazy on stage and do not dance like most groups have in the past. They are a COOL boy band! Their choreographer, Paul, has so much time on his hands that he runs the Larry rainbow bondage bears. However, we still have this iconic scene from when they were forced to dance in boot camp! Niall flails around and fails in the first seconds. In the 2nd run, Zayn refuses to dance and Simon has to talk him into it. Then, we see Harry, Zayn, and Liam do the most choreography 1D has ever attempted.

Fifth Harmony
Ally, Lauren, and Dinah gave really impressive solo auditions that made viewers/judges think they would go far. LA Reid even told Dinah that he thought she would be in the finals and that she took "If I Were A Boy" to places even Beyonce didn't. He also told Lauren that her rendition of "If I Ain't Got You" was one of his favorite auditions. Lauren and Ally ended up clearly winning thier bootcamp battles too, but were deemed not as interesting as Keesha and Rihanna lite's feud. Dinah messed up on the "Stronger" lyrics, so she was put into the group. Normani had some fake love story thing singing "What Makes You Beautiful" with some guy, but she didn't shine until after X Factor. Camila was virtually unknown throughout bootcamp and X Factor. Their first performance together, Impossible, is still one of their best. Camila became the fan favorite after this because of her unique voice working really well on this song and Demi saying she was the only one with the "X Factor" in their tragic "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together" performance. Their best X Factor performance that got them to the finals in spite of Britney's disagreement was "Anything Can Happen."
