— Actors Red Carpet (@ActorsRedCarpet) November 14, 2015The Hollywood Foreign Press Association called bullshit on Rooney Mara (Carol) and Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) pulling category fraud in the Supporting Actress category at next year's Golden Globes, and now they if they want to contend, it has to be in Lead Actress - Drama.
The team behind Jennifer Lawrence's movie 'Joy' is trying to get it submitted into comedy so there's a better chance of winning, but no word yet on if it'll fly.
Apparently the HPFA was OK with putting 'The Martian' in comedy (????), and also allowed other obvious choices like 'The Big Short', 'Trainwreck' and 'Spy' into comedy.
This is just for the Golden Globes - no word yet on the SAGs or Oscars.
