The editors over at Idolator have reviewed Ariana Grande's latest single "Focus" and they aren't too fond of it. Robbie Daw compares "Focus" to KC & The Sunshine Band's "That's The Way (I Like It)," saying that the pre-chorus melody in "Focus" sounded much better when KC & The Sunshine Band did it first back in 1975.
Bianca Gracie calls "Focus"boring and says that the song is just another reminder of how mediocre 2015's output of pop music has been.
Mike Wass delivers the finishing blow, saying that Ariana Grande simply cannot sing, and the fact that Ariana Grande is touted as this generation's vocal diva shows just how much standards have been lowered over the years.
