While initial controversy over the gun bra donned by the popstar in Vancouver was brewing, Lady GaGa performed the first night of the United States section of her tour in a COMPLETELY GUN-FREE show in Tacoma, Washington on 1/14/13

For the last 8 months, she had performed her show with some gun imagery, though not as explicitly as to portray any major acts of violence. The updated show replaces guns in one part of the show with pipes, as well as another section removing guns altogether from the stage and her OUTFITS.

BORN BRAVE BUS PREMIERE

Lady Gaga made sure that the first U.S. date of her "Born This Way Ball" was a special one, as she unveiled her Born Brave Bus before Monday night's (January 14) show in Tacoma, Washington.

Gaga (and her mother, Cynthia!!!) personally attended a pre-concert tailgate to christen the bus, which was covered in artwork by her Little Monsters, and is part of her Born This Way Foundation's larger campaign to build a sense of community and promote self-acceptance among her fans, including providing them with access to mental health services, school psychologists, volunteer opportunities and bullying and suicide prevention resources.

"For those wondering about the 'counseling' at the BTWBall BornBrave pre-show, it will be a fun tailgaiting experience for Monsters to unite," Gaga wrote on Twitter when she first announced plans for the bus late last year. "At the BornBrave Bus, you have access to professional private or group chats about mental health, bullying, school and friends."

Gaga's pals Lady Starlight and DJ White Shadow provided music for the kick-off, and the Born Brave Bus will be open to the general public on the day of each "Born This Way Ball" concert from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. local time. Fans can also pre-register for the Born Brave Bus experience through the Born This Way Foundation's official site.

The Foundation has partnered with community organizations like Campus Pride, GLSEN, the National Association of School Psychologists and Youth Service America. Viacom is serving as the Foundation's lead media partner as part of the campaign.
