About : August , Snow White & Neal

August
Ed Kitsis says that the character might be back this year, although nothing is certain yet. “We are hoping to have him back,” he says. “August is an important part of the fabric of the story, and it’s a story that we are continuing to tell.”

While we might not get to see Eoin Bailey again in the second season however, the showrunner confirms that, “you will get the answer” to what August showed Neal Cassidy (Michael Raymond-James) which made him believe in the fairytale world. Neal is set to return this year, at least, so we’ll likely be getting the answer from the man himself.

Snow White
ook forward to meeting an important Once Upon a Time character later this season: Snow White’s mother, who died when she was young.

TV Guide has learned that we’ll soon be introduced to Snow’s mother, who is set to appear in a special two-part episode later this season.

Showrunner Edward Kitsis reveals that her name is Eva, and that she has a “surprising connection” to a character we already know (but don’t they all?).

Considering that we’ve already become intimately acquainted with Regina’s mother Cora, it will be interesting to see Snow’s origin and as Kitsis explains, “the person who taught Snow White how to be Snow White.”

The episode will also feature Ginnifer Goodwin’s younger self Bailee Madison, who will appear as Young Snow.

It is worth noting that we have previously reported a casting notice for the show calling for a “Katerina,” who is described as, “40 years old, regal, beautiful and kind, with a big heart, and loved by her family, which is very close.” In the original news post we speculated that she was the mother of Sleeping Beauty, but perhaps this is the casting call for Snow’s mother?

This character will appear in episode 2×15, which matches up with the timing of Snow’s mother’s arrival.

Neal

We were first introduced to Raymond-James’ character Neal Cassidy in the season 2 premiere episode “Broken,” and we only saw him for a split second as he received a mysterious note about the curse on Storybrooke having been broken.

In the episode “Tallahassee,” we learned Neal’s true importance, when he was revealed to be Henry’s father. He and Emma were very much in love, but after August told him about Emma’s destiny, he left her behind.

We already know that Neal will be back this year, and there is speculation that he might even be Rumpelstiltskin’s son Bae. Now, the actor has revealed via Twitter that we can expect to see him in more episodes than we may have thought.
James, who will reappear in episode 2×14 “Manhattan,” will be sticking around at least through season 2 – suggesting that he’ll have a more permanent role in Emma and Henry’s lives, and maybe Rumpel’s as well if speculation is to be believed.
