Penn Badgley stars as the late Jeff Buckley in "Greetings From Tim Buckly," Written by Dan Algrant, Emma Sheanshang and David Brendel—with Algrant directing. Imogen Poots co-stars in the film that follows the story of the days leading up to Jeff Buckley’s breakthrough 1991 performance at his father’s tribute concert in St. Ann’s Church. Along the way, he falls into a romance with a young woman working at the concert, and works through the feelings he has towards his father who abandoned him. And in an additional bit of news, Variety revealed earlier this month that English singer/songwriter Kate Nash also appears in the film (you can see her in one of the images below if you look closely).
"Greetings From Tim Buckley" will have its World Premiere at TIFF where it will also be seeking distribution.
