Howie Dorough's Advice to 1D:
While One Direction were still toddling round in nappies and singing into hairbrushes in that mystical magical time of the 90s, theBackstreet Boys were the biggest boyband in the universe. Now the 1D boys have taken their crown, the BSBs have decided to take them under their wing and offer some hearty pop advice.
Howie Dorough (the one that always used to wear shiny jackets and had a dodgey ponytail) has warned Harry, Niall, Zayn, Louis and Paynis that they need to cut back on the partying and good times to make sure they don’t burn out while they’re at the peak of their game.
Wise words to the Hazzizzle from Howizzle.
He told In Touch magazine that the best advice he could give the lads would be to ‘Pace yourself. Have fun but put your health first.’ Yes mum.
“Definitely enjoy the perks that come with being a popstar, but make sure you prioritise your party nights and work. Without the hard work, there’s no girls, and without girls there’s no party”.
“Make sure you record music that you’ll be proud of in 20 years time” Howie added.
Sterling advice if we may say so. We know the 1Ders love a good party sesh, but Howie has definitely been around the (new kids on the) block when it comes to the pop world. So should the boys take the suggestion on board? We’re off to find a Backstreet Boy to ask advice on our love life.

The 1D World store - a pop-up shop on King William Street - is selling all sorts of One Direction merchandise. When the doors opened at 9am, more than 600 young fans had queued up out the front, sprawling onto King William St and around the corner to Grenfell St.
First in line was Brittnay Wilson, 14 of Port Adelaide, who secured her spot before dawn. "I got there at about 3am - my mum and dad drove me in,'' she said. "`I had to be the first in line because I absolutely love One Direction. Niall is my favourite because he's just perfect . I love his accent ...and his eyes...and his hair.''
On offer at the store is everything from One Direction clothes and posters to dolls of Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson.
"I spent about $100 this time, I bought six posters and calendar, three bags and a book, but I'll definitely be back,'' said Brittany.
Organisers anticipate more than 2000 fans will pass through the shop's doors each day, but say they will have more than enough stock to keep up with demand.
"The store will be regularly re-stocked throughout the month with new products being released as well. A truck was on its way from Melbourne last night to replenish what had been brought on the opening,'' says spokesperson Simon Hatcher.

1D's Concert Last Night at the Mohegan Sun Arena:
One Direction got back on stage for their first proper honest-to-god gig in quite some time last night, and as well performing tracks from Up All Night and Take Me Home also treated fans to a group routine.
Yes - they did 'The Joe'. First seen in a behind-the-scenes rehearsal video posted by none other than Niall Horan, The Joe is a dance move that requires serious hip-thrusting and pin-point precision in terms of timing - but was executed to perfection by the boys last night at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut.
In fact, we'd be surprised if there was a single ovary left intact in the whole place. Watch the video below to see for yourselves - oh and in case you're wondering, those contraptions Nialler and Liam have strapped to their chests aren't fancy heart moniters or an attempt to look like Iron Man - they're actually 3D cameras for the upcoming One Direction movie.
