After two sell-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium, you might expect hip-hop megastar Eminem to celebrate with a couple of all-night raves at one of the capital’s more blinging hotels.
But Marshall Mathers III has never been one to fit a stereotype.
So after playing to capacity crowds of 80,000 for the last two nights, the rapper kicked back at an elegant stately home in Berkshire – complete with its own polo club and croquet lawns.
Our perfectly placed source confirms: “Eminem made it clear he had no intention of hitting London’s nightclubs and staying in a trendy hotel.
“The swankiest bars were practically throwing themselves at him for the chance to host an after-party for him.
"They were shocked when he said he just wanted to get out into the countryside for a touch of old England.”
The star, who has battled booze and drugs, enjoyed a low-key stay at posh Coworth Park, an 18th century pile on the edge of Windsor Great Park that has hosted royalty and gives Downton Abbey a run for its money.
