Rihanna's dad sells her out (again). He talks pregnancy rumours, her RS with Chris Brown + more

Detailed Summary

Her dad has battled addiction to crack cocaine and has long been a heavy drinker.

He got wasted at The Diamond Ball before Rihanna had even arrived. He was falling over chairs and shit.

Rihanna's mom (Monica) took notice and told security to escort him out. He was pissed because he didn't get to see Rihanna that night.

Rihanna and him haven't spoken since then. He says he got drunk because Rihanna didn't invite her step siblings (on her dad's side). That made him depressed so he decided to drink on that day.

When he got back to his hotel, he drank some more.

He says: 'I’m sad how it ended of course, I should have never taken that first drink or any drink for that matter. I wish I had seen her of course. She will probably hear how I was and how I had a few drinks, so I guess she would be angry with me. I think she is, I’m not sure, we haven’t spoken just yet.'

His drinking really became a problem last year. He was at a bar in LA and he got drunk/angry. He got arrested. He had the option of 30 days in jail or 30 days in rehab. He chose rehab.

Rihanna put him through a $58,000 Malibu rehab program after he was arrested. Rihanna visited him often and would bring him stuff like shoes, jackets, slippers etc. She was ~proud~ of him.

After checking out of rehab, he would fly back to LA every 3 months for urine tests. When he visted, Rihanna had the hotel staff empty the mini bar. He was attending AA in Barbados.

He feels bad for breaking his promise to Rihanna but he's still in some of denial (clearly).

He says: 'Me, no, drunk and disorderly. I don’t see myself as an alcoholic, I don’t realise when I get that drunk.Call me a drunk or alcoholic in denial, whatever you want to call me but I have realised I could drink or not drink.

He's apologized to her for fucking up since then. He feels bad that she wasted her money on Rehab.

He hates that Rihanna has a "large" entourage. He says that they all use Rihanna's money to buy their shit. He says that her "friends" are all parasites who need to have their own lives instead of leaching off Rihanna. He dislikes Melissa (childhood BFF) in particular. He wants Rihanna to drop her.

He has forgiven~ Chris (we know this) and his a big soft spot for him~~~. But he thinks Rihanna and Chris are done for good. He said that at the charity basketball game in August, she ignored him. They did a “Hi” “Hello,” and that was it. Chris tried to talk to Rihanna at the game but she turned away and began talking to someone else (lmao oop). Chris went over to Rihanna’s dad and took a picture with him. Rihanna got pissed that her dad did this.

Previously, he really wanted them to get back together again but now he’s not sure. Ronald says that Chris is a player and he can’t stay with one woman. He says that Chris isn’t ready for a RS. He’s worried about Chris though. He reads about his issues in the paper and it makes him sad. He thinks that Chris is wasting his talent. He also said that Rihanna is single despite being linked to other celebs. He says that she needs to find someone who isn’t in the entertainment industry. Also she isn’t pregnant. He wants grandkids though.
Rihanna was supposed to go down to Barbados this week (or last?) but she might not do that because of what happened between them. He wants to see Rihanna this christmas but he says that she’s really angry at him so it might be next christmas.

Brief Summary:
Rihanna spent $60,000 to put her dad through rehab after he got arrested last year in LA.

She flies him to LA every 3 months to get drug tests. She empties the mini bar in his room before he arrives.

She doesn’t speak to Chris Brown anymore and ignored him the last time they were seen together (charity basketball game)

He doesn’t like Melissa (Rih’s BFF)

She is single and she isn’t pregnant

***** UPDATE ******

Statement Reads in Part:

"Disappointingly, that fact [the hack/threats being criminal acts] has been lost in a lot of the media coverage of this over the past few weeks. This situation is larger than a movie’s release or the contents of someone’s private emails. This is about the fact that criminals were able to hack in and steal what has now been identified as many times the volume of all of the printed material in the Library of Congress and threaten the livelihoods of thousands of Americans who work in the film and television industry, as well as the millions who simply choose to go to the movies."

Only Academy Award Wining Female Diretor Kathryn Bigalow moderated a Q&A with Only Black Women to be nominated for a Golden Globe for Directro Ava DuVerney this week.

"In a week of so much happiness, this was the highlight. Kathryn Bigelow standing with me to share SELMA. Her work means so much to me. Took everything I had to keep composure when she told me she'd already seen it twice and called the film 'masterful.' I almost broke down. Major swoon. Great lady."

Bonus: From The 8 Most Badass Things Ava DuVernay Said About Being a Female Director

With the crew, a lot of them had never been directed by a woman, and further than that a lot of them had never been directed by a black woman. And I was dealing with a lot of men, and we were in Atlanta, in the south. So I thought it was imperative to have a conversation so that we were clear whose job was what, and that mine was to be in charge. I needed them to know that I respected what they did and I intended for them to respect what I did and if at any point that broke down then they would no longer be there. In a very nice way!

Joshua Jackson: Feeling old at 36

Josh's latest show, "The Affair," airs its last episode of the season this Sunday, but despite the series' success, including three Golden Globe nominations, he understands if you still think of him as Pacey or Charlie Conway.

"Depending on where you are in the world, Pacey left a mark, and I’m 36 years old now. That’s a long time ago," Jackson says of his breakout "Dawson's Creek" role. "Frankly even before that, [there was] 'The Mighty Ducks.' Maybe not in the rest of the world but for Canada, I still walk around as the bearded old man that I am now and have 9-year-olds who are like, 'Charlie! Oh my God, what’s going on?'"

So what does living the rest of his life look like these days? "Well, right now I’m building a house. Diane and I are building a house so I am a foreman on a construction site," he says, name-checking longtime girlfriend Diane Kruger. "The woman is key. Truly, I mean I’ve been with Diane now for eight and a half years, and the process of being in love and accommodating another human being in your space is important. This is the thing that I’ve learned that I enjoy most about being in love and having a partner is having somebody who shares your story for better and for worse, right? Somebody who has been there through all the moments: the ups, the downs, the sideways, the boring moments, the exciting moments."

Rest of the interview

He's the sweetest talking about being in love like that. He truly is Pacey.

The Sad Truth Behind the Music Playing Over the Credits of the Colbert Report Finale

In case you didn't know, Stephen Colbert stans for Neutral Milk Hotel. Uproxx dug up this story from the Village Voice in 2009:

As the taping rolls and the commercial breaks interrupt, Colbert keeps his energy level up by listening to, among other things, Neutral Milk Hotel’s “Holland, 1945″ — we know this because it plays loudly, throughout the studio. Two girls in the seats in front of me start singing along and — as they start sort of swaying — Colbert spots them and starts pointing rhythmically in their direction, all the while faithfully mouthing the lyrics.

Earlier this year, Maureen Dowd revealed the sad truth behind Colbert's attachment to the song:

He had 10 older siblings. But after his father and the two brothers closest to him in age died in a plane crash when he was 10 and the older kids went off to college, he said, he was “pretty much left to himself, with a lot of books.”

He said he loved the “strange, sad poetry” of a song called “Holland, 1945” by an indie band from Athens, Ga., called Neutral Milk Hotel and sent me the lyrics, which included this heartbreaking bit:

“But now we must pick up every piece

Of the life we used to love

Just to keep ourselves

At least enough to carry on…

And here is the room where your brothers were born

Indentions in the sheets

Where their bodies once moved but don’t move anymore.

Let's listen and cry.

‘White Collar’ Series Finale: Is Neal Caffrey Free?

$

USA Network’s “White Collar” series finale Thursday finally answered the long-standing question of the buddy cop drama: Does Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer) earn his freedom?

Yes, he does.

Caffrey pulled off his biggest con yet, faking his own death, unbeknownst to his fellow partner Mozzie (Willie Garson) and FBI handler-turned-friend Peter Burke (Tim DeKay).

The final scene shows a carefree Caffrey strolling through Paris, the destination he longed to see again. Seeing Caffrey take in the cobbled streets, while “La Mer” plays, prompts a sigh of relief for the fedora-toting conman. He has lost loves, dodged danger and forged artwork all in an effort to reclaim the freedom he has chased since creator Jeff Eastin’s show debuted in 2009.
