BTS, win more awards, ugly cry and reveal that they considered disbanding this year

$

Music legends BTS continued their prosperous homecoming after an incredible year by winning the Album of the Year and Artist of the Year grand prizes at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. It was a tearful Jin who saved the most significant speech for their last speech of the final award:

"The beginning of this year really comes to mind. Early this year, we were quite tired, mentally. So as we talked together, we even considered disbanding. But we really got a hold of ourselves again and to have been able to achieve such great results, I think it's such a relief. To our members who once again got a grasp of their hearts, thank you so much."

Jin, Jimin and J-Hope all cried, but it was Taehyung bursting into tears and then basically sobbing through their later interview. It was semi-disturbing and a pretty decent indication that he was one of the struggling members. Still, they have gone on to have a historic year and signed a new 7 year contract in Oct.

I remember when Suga said he wept in the shower after the AMA performance despite the fact that it should have been the happiest moment of his career. None of this worldwide success was planned and they were clearly unprepared for the pressure. After releasing 60 songs this year (and writing most of them), I fear for them if they don't pace themselves.

V crying:

They also performed Airplane pt 2, as well as that other song we won't mention.

ONTD Original: 8 More Albums That Turned 10 in 2018

I'm not in the mood to write an intro... so let's get right to it, shall we?

Janet Jackson - Discipline

Discipline was a significant album in many ways for Jackson. Her tenth in 22 years, it saw her breaking from longtime producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis to work with the likes of Darkchild, Stargate, and The-Dream, and was the first album on which she received no songwriting credit since 1984's Dream Street. Though it would become her sixth album to debut at the top of the Billboard 200, Discipline was lukewarmly received by critics and the general public, and would prove her sole release under Island Records—artist and label would part ways in September, after a mere 14 month partnership.

Danity Kane - Welcome to the Dollhouse

Recorded in less than five weeks and released five months after Britney Spears' game-changing Blackout, Danity Kane's sophomore album boasts peak-contributions from the former's main magicians Danja and The Clutch (a producer/writer collective that notably included "Pretty Girl Rock"er Keri Hilson) that remain fresh a decade later. Lead single "Damaged," determined by a fan poll, would become the quintet's second Top 10 hit, but by year's end the dollhouse was effectively razed. Members Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods were dismissed by manager Sean "Diddy" Combs on the live finale of Making the Band 4's third season, and the remaining three would officially call it quits at the top of 2009.

Kylie Minogue - X

For X, Minogue's post-cancer comeback album, label Parlophone enlisted "every songwriter in London" and then some to take a swing at contributing (submissions by Goldfrapp, Hot Chip, and Pet Shop Boys would not make the final tracklist). The result was a 13-track amalgamation of pop, rock and R&B that's more style than substance, but damn it if it doesn't make you move.

Ashlee Simpson - Bittersweet World

One can't be blamed for forgetting the younger Simpson sister's third album. Debuting at #4 and moving only 47,000 units in its first week of release, Bittersweet World's two singles failed to connect with audiences, and plans for a summer tour were subsequently scrapped. This is all particularly unfortunate given the overwhelmingly positive response to the album from critics. By enlisting the talents of Timbaland, Chad Hugo and Kenna of The Neptunes, and Jim Beanz to create a more "beat-oriented" record than its predecessors, Simpson was praised for "skillfully shift[ing] her crunchy, guitar-driven pop to eighties-influenced electro-rock."

Jesse McCartney - Departure

Former teen idol Jesse McCartney had a lot to prove with the release of Departure, his third studio album. His previous effort, released two years prior, was a commercial misfire further derailed by poor promotion by then-label Hollywood Records, and for his comeback McCartney promised "the bigness of Madonna—fun '80s stuff." While Departure may not have become this generation's Like a Prayer, it certainly exceeded expectations and supplied plenty of grooves. Lead single "Leavin'", produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, reestablished McCartney as a force to be reckoned with in pop, peaking at #10 on the Hot 100.

Rihanna - Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded

Though this reissue of 2007's Good Girl Gone Bad only included three new songs, it did much to further solidify Rihanna's status as pop's new reigning queen. Upon its release, Good Girl Gone Bad saw a record-shattering 930% sales increase; singles "Disturbia" and "Take a Bow" became Rihanna's fourth and fifth #1s.

Kanye West - 808s & Heartbreak

West's self-proclaimed "pop art" album was borne of the one-two punch of losing mother Donda and breaking his engagement to longtime girlfriend Alexis Phifer. And while it took a mere three weeks to record, its icy, sparse production continues to be influential a decade on. Named "one of the 40 most groundbreaking albums of all time" by Rolling Stone, the fingerprints of 808s & Heartbreak are detectable on the music of everyone from Bon Iver's Justin Vernon to James Blake—that includes you, Aubrey.

Brandy - Human

Following its underwhelming commercial performance, Brandy would distance herself from her fifth studio album. This is a shame, because despite a few dud tracks Human is a solid pop-R&B collection. Lead single "Right Here (Departed)," saw the singer-songwriter reuniting with key collaborator Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins; he'd executive produce and write a majority of the album, with Hit-Boy, RedOne, and Toby Gad making additional contributions.

Ellen Degeneres has a reputation as one of the nicest people in Hollywood, but there have still been rumors that she is secretly mean. Ellen denies that she is "difficult" to work with. She says:

“That bugs me if someone is saying that because it’s an outright lie... The first day I said: ‘The one thing I want is everyone here to be happy and proud of where they work, and if not, don’t work here.’ No one is going to raise their voice or not be grateful. That’s the rule to this day.”

Do you think Ellen is secretly mean, or the victim of a sexist rumor?

Karamo Brown thinks 'Call Me by Your Name' is 'problematic' b/c it glorifies 'predatory behavior'

-"I've worked with many survivors of sexual assault, especially in the LGBTQ community, which oftentimes goes unreported. And so the minute I saw that movie, I thought, 'Here we are glorifying this sort of relationship,'" Brown, who is a licensed psychotherapist and social worker, told INSIDER while promoting his partnership with Ford."

-"I haven't read the book, but I understand that the college student character is like, 19 years old [Editor's note: Oliver is 24 in the book]. And so the relationship between him and this 17-year-old boy — I guess it 'makes more sense,' and I'm doing air quotations there," Brown said. "But there is predatory behavior there that I see, especially in the movie, where Armie Hammer looks dramatically older than this young man."

The Soulja Don't Stop; The SouljaGame Fuze is Now Avaliable

Follow up to this post, EntrepenuerBoy is at it again with the SouljaGame Fuze.

It could have been yours for the low, low price of $399. But now it's "sold out", clearly bought up by rabid fans and Soulja's mother.

Sorry folks.
Also, a LAN port? Like, Ethernet? Cat5? Does this machine host online gameplay????

Just like the SouljaGame Handheld and Souljagame Console, this also comes in a package and is based off of a system you can buy for cheaper. In fact, you can buy this on AliExpress, where it has been for quite a while before Souljacon Valley came in and brought it to America.

But wait! The console he's ripping off isn't even an original.

Look at all these brand partners listed on the product page; I think Ubisoft will be very surprised to learn that they've teamed up with Soulja Boy.

This is the controller; Look familiar? XBOX Taught HA!

But let's check out those games, shall we? Despite costing far more than its older siblings, the SouljaFuze does not brag about the variety of consoles whose games it can play. In fact, It doesn't really list any consoles its stealing from at all.

I'm not even 100% sure the amount of games, let alone the platform. Is it 76, or 20?

As if the price/ripoff factor wasn't enough, the good Soulja has "put" Mighty No. 9 on the console to really flip you the middle finger.

Here's a fellow breaking down the, um, stats, of the machine;

- LeRay Town Court Justice John W. Hallett resigns 'after the state Commission on Judicial Conduct filed formal charges against him' over saying crude remarks to lawyer Terence M. Brennen

- Brennen filed a complaint against Hallett after the judge made a crude remark to the lawyer allegedly saying to Brennen: "You and Viggo Mortensen should get a hotel room and suck each other’s dicks".

- Brennen promoted the 2017 Snowtown Film Festival – which honored “The Lord of the Rings” actor that year at the Jefferson County Court Complex in Watertown, New York.

- Hallett later said the festive was: "about the gayest thing I have ever heard".

- Five months later Hallett 'allegedly made an oral sex gesture at Brennen' and 'allegedly patted Brennen on the cheek' and said, “There, there little boy.”

- Hallett resignation will go into effect next year and the charges will be dropped. Hallett will get to keep his law license and private practice but has pleged never to 'serve in a judicial capacity ever again'.

Kingdom Hearts III, set to be released on January 29, has been leaked in full over a month early. Speculation links to a shipping company's employee stealing several completed copies of the X-Box version and sold them off.

It's believed between 50--60 copies are out there in the open, and leaked game footage has already been posted online.

Tetsuya Nomura has released the following statement regarding the leak:
