Stargirl gets greenlit for DC Universe series + Streaming Price!

-DC-U is going full steam ahead with their new streaming service and this time Stargirl gets her time to shine!

-The live action Stargirl series will also feature the Justice Society of America, a staple for the character.

-Geoff Johns is writing the pilot and act as showrunner which will be his first time being this heavily involved with a tv series.

-Stargirl was created by Geoff Johns in 1999 and was inspired and named after his sister Courtney Johns.

-This will be Stargirls 3rd live action adaption, first appearing in Smallville and later in Legends of Tomorrow.





-DC-U will cost 7.99 a month OR $74 for 1 year subscription

Madonna and all of her kids visit the Malawi Hospital she built 1 year after it's opening

Madonna with all her six kids are in Malawi celebrating one year anniversary of Madonna-funded hospital which she named after her daughter Mercy. The Mercy James Institute of Pediatric Surgery and Intensive Care has done 1,639 surgeries on children, including successful separation of conjoined twins at the liver. This Hospital is the first facility of its kind in the country.

Singer Shawn Mendes loves bananas so much he posted himself enjoying it online. Shawn clearly understands that bananas are a great tool in his physical routine as they may help relieve muscle cramps caused by exercise. They also provide excellent fuel for a variety of endurance exercises.

'Weetzie Bat' Film Adaptation Casts Anya Taylor-Joy, Nick Robinson and Sasha Lane

  • Weetzie Bat, the 1980's YA book by Francesca Lia Block, is being turned into a film directed by Justin Kelly, with a screenplay written by Block.

  • Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) will star as the titular character, with Nick Robinson (Love, Simon), Sasha Lane (American Honey), Keiynan Lonsdale (Love, Simon) and Theodore Pellerin (Boy Erased) co-starring.

  • Plot summary: "Weetzie is an ethereal pixie living in 1980s Los Angeles, where she grew up the child of an alcoholic starlet mother and a junkie screenwriter father. She teams up with her Mohawked best friend Dirk (Pellerin) to find love, leading her to mysterious trenchcoat-wearing filmmaker Max (Robinson) and platinum-haired surfer Duck (Lonsdale). 'Walking Dead' Creator Confirms Andrew Lincoln's Exit From Show

After months of speculation, Robert Kirkman (creator of the Walking Dead comic/source material and executive producer of the tv show) has confirmed that series lead Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) is leaving the show during the upcoming ninth season.

Kirkman was asked about the rumors during an interview for imdb conducted by Kevin Smith. He started out trying to hedge a bit, saying "It's looking that way" before just straight up acknowledging it.

"It does make the differences between the comic and the show more pronounced. But at the end of the day, it's all about Andrew Lincoln. This is a human being. This is someone I have known for almost a decade, somebody that I love. He's been sweating in Georgia, away from his family, for so long." (Lincoln has a wife and two kids, ages 8 and 11, who spend most of the year in England for the kids' school).

"[Lincoln] cares about the fans. He cares about the show deeply. He wants to do something special on the way out. We have something amazing planned. I wouldn't want to spoil anything, but anybody who has been a fan of his journey, who loves Rick Grimes, who loves the world of The Walking Dead, you're going to want to see what we do."

Norman Reedus (Daryl) is believed to be taking over as series lead.

-Charmed has hit SDCC and the cast/crew of Charmed want you to know that they come in peace!

-EP Jennie Snyder Urman states that the original show was about female empowerment, sisterhood and strong women that it was something that we desperately need at this point in time.

-Sarah Jeffery who plays Madison the new version of Phoebe says that the OG was iconic and that they want to honor and be respectful of the show and bring a modern twist to it.

-The pilot has plenty of easter eggs for fans of the original and while it isnt directly connected to the original universe it will have reference certain things of the show and rooted deeply in what the original show brought about.

-Would love to have the original cast members be part of the show.

-To further their sisterly bond, the actresses went on plenty of dinner dates with one another to get to know one another better.
