Susan Sarandon says, while welcomed by #MeToo she faced alienation from the industry for not supporting Hillary Clinton, saying some people took it personally. She did not support Clinton because of her actions and policies and where her funding came from.

She says that every person should challenge what they take for granted, like religion and nationalism.

Make Me (Chart) no more! RIAA announced today that Britney's lead single off her ninth studio album Glory has been certified Platinum following its Gold certification last year.






The producer, Burns, also celebrated the occasion on his Instagram story today.



Here are a few little known facts about the song complied by yours truly...



1) It was co-written by Britney herself. The song has four writers in total.



2) A solo version of the song was also released.



3) The song marked Britney's return to the VMA stage for the first time after 9 years and her first TV performance in the UK for 8.




4) Not exactly little known but important to remember, the song's original video shot by legendary photographer David LaChapelle was scrapped and never officially released although LQ parts have leaked online.





5) When the song originally went to no1 on US iTunes, it did so by dethroning Justin Timberlake's Can't Stop the Feeling #popjustice.

'Smallville' Actress Allison Mack Arrested for Sex Trafficking

UPDATE: Mack pled "not guilty" and the judge refused to release her immediately on bail. She will have another hearing on Monday and may be granted bail then. Prosecutors are demanding that bail not be posted by anyone affiliated with the cult, which is funded by members Clare and Sara Bronfman, the two wealthy sister heiresses to the Seagram's whisky fortune. Mack now faces 15 years-to-life if convicted.

A follow-up to this post

Allison Mack, who played Chloe on Smallville, has been arrested and will appear in federal court today to be charged with sex trafficking and forced labor in connection with her role as second-in-command of sex cult NXIVM (pronounced "Nexium").

It is alleged that she directed women to be branded with a combination of her initials and those of leader Keith Raniere, with whom she was found hiding in Mexico three weeks ago.

It is also alleged that she imposed starvation diets and sleep-deprivation on the women, who were known as "slaves", and forced them to pose for nude photos that were used to blackmail them into subservience.

Her Smallville co-star Kristin Kreuk first joined Raniere's group around 2005 after attending one of his self-help seminars, and she brought in Mack. Kreuk severed ties with the group in 2012, and she posted a statement on Instagram on March 29 denying that she was ever involved in any illegal activity during her time with them.

  • At a panel at the Tribeca Film Festival celebrating 35 years of the movie Scarface moderator Jesse Kornbluth opened with the always promising line "As the father of a daughter" before just jumping forward and asking Michelle Pfeiffer how much she weighed while filming the movie

  • He was promptly booed by the audience while someone loudly asked him why he needed to know that

  • Pfeiffer appeared taken aback, but after saying that she didn't know, pointed out that she was playing a cocaine addict in the film

  • Kornbluth said that was his point in asking the question

  • When reached for a statement Kornbluth said:

It is true that a gentleman should never ask a woman about her weight. But that was not my question. (OP NOTE: HIS EXACT QUESTION WAS: As the father of a daughter I'm concerned with body image. In preparation for this film what did you weigh? 75 pounds?)It is a comment on the knee-jerk political correctness of our time that no one would be shocked if you asked Robert De Niro about the weight gain required for his role in ‘Raging Bull’ but you get booed — not by many, but by a vocal few — for asking Michelle Pfeiffer about the physical two-dimensionality required for her to play a cocaine freak in “Scarface.”

Morgan Freeman’s step-granddaughter told her boyfriend (Lamar Davenport) that the actor had been secretly sleeping with her.

Lamar Davenport is on trial for stabbing E’Dena Hines 25 times, killing her, in 2015

Davenport’s lawyer, Annie Costanzo, claimed in court Friday.

“E’Dena Hines disclosed to Lamar Davenport and others that her grandfather engaged in a sexually inappropriate relationship with her"

Freeman and Hines were not related by blood, but Freeman has known Hines since she was a small child and has been a part of her life for years.

Unlucky 7: Intended Lead Singles That Were Scrapped (ONTD Original)

Even if you had the #focus groups tested and executives approving your next singles, things can go awry when they don't meet certain expectations whether it's artistic or chart-wise. Not to be confused with charity singles or stand-alone singles... actually it does get confusing because artists want to save face and deem these rejected lead singles as something else, commonly referred to as 'buzz' or 'promo' tracks.

Let's just consider any changes of plans as a sign from #god, including with the following pop songs.
There will also be a few honorable mentions of songs released around the same time but also did not make any cut.


7. Focus by Ariana Grande
Intended for: Moonlight/Dangerous Woman (2016)
Replaced by: "Dangerous Woman"


Release: She teased the song on social media and on her Honeymoon tour, and slowly unveiled the single cover art following the release, showing a new look with platinum blonde hair. AG3 was initially called Moonlight with the title track later appearing on Dangerous Woman.
Cancellation: Although appearing in the top 10 of the Hot 100, the song received mixed reviews, and it probably did not measure up to the intended success for a lead single her label was looking for.
Appeared on any album format? Yes, it got Japanese bonus track'd on DW.

6. Louboutins by Jennifer Lopez
Intended for: Love? (2011)
Replaced by: "On the Floor"


Release: Like Ari, J.Lo decided for a change in look with alterego "Lola" (a la Sasha Fierce) with the "Who Is Lola?" teaser, featuring red lips and choppy bangs. The Lola alterego was abandoned after releasing "Fresh Out the Oven". She promoted next intended lead single "Louboutins" a few times on television, including the AMA's where she fell mid-performance but swiftly got back up.
Cancellation: Mixed reception from critics, did not even chart in the Hot 100, no airplay, and was completely scrapped before any music video was to be made
Appeared on any album format? No
Honorable mentions: "Fresh Out the Oven", Brandy's original recording of the demo

5. Go Girl (ft. T-Pain) by Ciara
Intended for: Fantasy Ride (2009)
Replaced by: "Never Ever"


Release: A demo version of the song leaked on the internet a month before its official release. It peaked at #78 in the US but #1 in Japan.
Cancellation: Overall just underperformed, and when the FR tracklisting came out, the song was not listed. It was later on deemed as a 'promo single'.
Appeared on any album format? Yes, it got Japanese bonus track'd for Fantasy Ride.

4. Player ft. Chr*s Brown by Tinashe
Intended for: Joyride (2018)
Replaced by: "No Drama"


Release: From her own words, it was the #label that hooked up the Chr*s Brown feature. It was announced as the official lead single for Joyride (I can't believe it's been three years, bless), and reached #3 on the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles.
Cancellation: While Tinashe was just speaking ha truth, Chr*s Brown had to get stupid about the whole thing, so the song was just dropped.
Appeared on any album format? No
Honorable mentions: "Party Favors", "Superlove" (which was the next intended lead and still did not appear on any album format)

3. SuperLove by Charli XCX
Intended for: Sucker (2014)
Replaced by: "Boom Clap"


Release: The song was released and uploaded onto Soundcloud 5 months after True Romance LP, which was quite soon to already move onto another project. "Boom Clap" proved to be the next hit to be the actual lead single to focus on. Highkey the only song on this list deserving justice. #JusticeforSuperlove
Cancellation: As Wiki states, "it ultimately was not included on 2014's Sucker."
Appeared on any album format? No, and it had its chance to be Japanese bonus track'd but was replaced with "Red Balloon."

2. Pretty Girls (ft. Iggy Azalea) by Britney Spears
Intended for: 9th studio album/Glory (2016)
Replaced by: "Make Me"

Release: Iggy announced the collaboration would be on Britney's next album at the time, and that it was a true 'duet' because they sung the chorus together. I just wanna know why did Britney's hairstyle switch when they were on the car @ 2:43. It peaked at #29 on the Hot 100.
Cancellation: ?? I guess cause it flopped and no one was here for Eggs.
Appeared on any album format? No

1. FourFiveSeconds by Rihanna, Kanye West, Paul McCartney
Intended for: 8th studio album/Anti (2016)
Replaced by: "Work"


Release: Kanye was initial executive producer of R8 and snatched this collab with Paul McCartney. It was a moderate success in Rih's standards and peaked at #4 on the Hot 100.
Cancellation: ?? Navy tell me about these singles lol.
Appeared on any album format? No.
Honorable mentions: "Bitch Better Have My Money", "American Oxygen"

The Killers announce massive vinyl boxset

-On June 15, The Killers will release a boxset of their 5 studio albums on vinyl
-Also included: 2009’s Live From The Royal Albert Hall, pressed to vinyl for the first time, and Sawdust, which features b-sides like the banger "Shadowplay"

Scandal Series Finale - Who lived, who died and who did Liv end up with?!

Last night was the series finale of Scandal and the author of this article wrote a very....nice recap but I'm not going to be so nice. The final episode tied up some loose ends and was extremely fast paced. We get a surprise appearance from the vile Hollis Doyle, some commentary from Sally Langston, a half ass ending for 2 characters that honestly seemed like an after thought when writing the script, a cringe worthy monologue from David Rosen about being 'Americas bitch', angsty-love arguing for Liv & Fitz, Cyrus fully embracing the dark side and murdering David Rosen bc Jake basically called him a wimp for never getting his own hands dirty and what would Scandal be without an over the top but extremely accurate monologue from the one and only Eli Pope.

All in all, the season probably could have used two more episodes because the episode was so rushed trying to close out everyone's stories.

  • TriStar has bought the rights to The Happiest Season, a holiday comedy co-written by Clea DuVall (Veep) and Mary Holland (Veep).

  • The plot: A woman plans to propose to her girlfriend at the annual family holiday party. However, she soon discovers her girlfriend hasn't yet come out to her conservative parents.

  • DuVall is set to direct; she previously directed the drama The Intervention in 2016.

  • Holland is a Upright Citizens Brigade veteran who recently developed a pilot (Romancing the Globe) for YouTube Red.

Sales figures are in for Tinashe's "Joyride"

Sales figures are in for the first week of Tinashe's highly anticipated album "Joyride".

The album sold a whopping 4,710 copies in the US, coming in at #24 on HitsDailyDouble's sales chart. The album was no where to be seen on their SPS chart meaning it posted a figure of less than 10k and probably won't even debut in the top 50 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

In comparison, Flopnashe's previous album "Aquarius" 18k copies first week in 2014.

According to tarot.com, Taurus people are both sensible and sense-driven. Their stubborn determination motivates hard work and leads to a lot of successes, but their inability to admit when they are wrong can cause rifts in personal and professional relationships.
