– Eighteen year old Sophia robb snapped her retainer by clenching her jaw really hard when she saw Black Panther in theaters. After noticing a tweet that went viral containing screenshots of the story on Tumblr, she zoomed in on the avatar and noticed it was her orthodonist sharing the story online. Buzzfeed contacted her after her tweet reached hundreds of thousands of likes.
– Sophia: "So it was the scene where Killmonger took his shirt off for the battle to become king of Wakanda. I pressed my tongue against my permanent retainer and clenched my jaw so hard that the wire disconnected from my teeth."
– She was scared she would embarass herself when explaining what happened but felt okay after she got to the office: "When I told them they laughed, obviously, but it was super sweet and of course it made a great story."
– Buzzfeed asked the orthodonist Robb if he'd breached any sort of confidentiality but he said he didn't reveal any horrifying details:"I think people who are like 'you exposed yourself' are hilarious because of course I did! It’s a funny story and I’m not embarrassed about it. If anything it speaks to how great of a movie Black Panther is."
– People have been laughing and reacting to Sophia's story, asking if she still plans on going to that orthodontist. "yes he's a real one."
– Sophia is biracial has seen Black Panther twice because it's amazing seeing a screen full of black actors.
"It honestly was worth breaking my retainer over."

Everyone's least favorite Stranger Things breakout star was recently profiled by Essential Homme/L'Officiel Hommes NL magazine and had some interesting things to say about his newfound fame.

About his approach to playing Billy:

"The concept of threatened masculinity, a lot of people were talking to me about it. Is Billy racist? Is he a homosexual?"

About wearing a disguise:

"I have adopted a disguise that I wear. It's not as ludicrous as it might sound. It's not some weird thing. Just subtle things. If I get recognized I'm happy to give people the time of day, but I'd rather not."

About being part of a new generation of up-and-coming actors:

"I feel like I'm with this sort of new generation of actors. Seeing other young actors and actresses that are coming up now, I want to build that ratpack of the moment."

- also says he no longer makes audition tapes (yeah right)
- generally tries not to sound pretentious and fails

Jessica Jones S2 Reviews: Return of the Superhero in the Age of #MeToo

– Critics received the first five episodes of season 2 and are mostly positive. Some said it doesn't have the appeal of season one yet, citing lack of direction and stakes so far.
– Two-time Oscar nominee Janet McTeer joins this season as a pivotal, mysterious character. McTeer said it's a very physical role and that she was drawn to the show because of its portrayal of gender politics, PTSD, and abuse. “When they sent me scripts of the part, I thought, ‘This is a part I haven’t played before. To do something you’ve never done before when you’re my age is really cool. I liked the challenge.”
– Season 2 directors: Anna Foerster, Minkie Spiro, Mairzee Almos, Deborah Chow, Millicent Shelton, Jet Wilkinson, Jennifer Getzinger, Zetna Fuentes, Rosemary Rodriguez, Neasa Hardiman, Jennifer Lynch, Liz Friedlander, and Uta Briesewitz.
– Krysten Ritter on the work environment:“It is a very supportive environment. There’s no ego, there’s no infighting, which is important, because I can go into darker places if I feel safe to be vulnerable.” Ritter said she was able to find a balance between the dark stuff and returning to normal this time around working on the second season. The show is very much a collaboration of her and creator Melissa Rosenberg, Ritter says, and they get along really well.
– Jessica and Trish's relationship evolves but will remain the heart of the show. Trish wants Jessica's powers. Jesisca sees Malcolm as younger brother. Hogarth is still self-serving, she and Jessica maintain a testy relationship.
– Ritter on the impact of Jessica:“Real women on the street came up to me in tears because this was the first time they felt represented by the lead; it made them feel so much better about their own traumas. Even hearing women saying they were excited to see a badass female character was great: people responded to her in such a huge way.”
– Thirteen international artist created pulp art for each episode of season 2. Check it out below, and beware they contain the episode titles if you wanna stay spoiler free.

– The second season releases on March 8th.

The gorgeous, ginger SelfieJumanji star Karen Gillan has been in attendance at several big events as of late.

Working our way backward in time: last night, she attended the Vanity Fair Oscar party in a dress by RVDK.

A couple of days ago, she attended a Proenza Schouler luncheon in LA in a more casual get-up.

At the end of February, she premiered her writing and directorial debut film The Party's Just Beginning at the Glasgow Film Festival.

She was wearing a modified Thom Browne Pre-Fall 2018 creation, which explains the weird nipple circle situation.
