For me, Patrick [Dempsey] leaving the show [in 2015] was a defining moment, deal-wise. They could always use him as leverage against me — ‘We don’t need you; we have Patrick’ — which they did for years. I don’t know if they also did that to him, because he and I never discussed our deals. There were many times where I reached out about joining together to negotiate, but he was never interested in that. At one point, I asked for $5,000 more than him just on principle, because the show is Grey’s Anatomy and I’m Meredith Grey. They wouldn’t give it to me. And I could have walked away, so why didn’t I? It’s my show; I’m the number one. I’m sure I felt what a lot of these other actresses feel: Why should I walk away from a great part because of a guy? You feel conflicted but then you figure, “I’m not going to let a guy drive me out of my own house.”

So, what does it look like when he leaves the show? First, it looks like a ratings spike, and I had a nice chuckle about that. But the truth is, the ink wasn’t even dry on his exit papers before they rushed in a new guy. I was on vacation in Sicily, decompressing — it was a long working relationship and it was a tumultuous end and I needed a moment to just chill with some rosé — and they’re calling me, going, “What do you think of this guy?” “What do you think of this guy?” And they’re sending pictures. I was like, “Are you people fucking nuts? Why do you feel that you have to replace this person?” I couldn’t believe how fast the studio and the network felt like they had to get a penis in there. We brought in Martin Henderson, but they didn’t love the storyline, so that ended.

- Anoushka Shankar, a sitar player and composer who is Ravi Shankar’s daughter and Norah Jones’ half-sister, has been married to Joe Wright since 2010. The couple has two kids.

Maggie lets her "homegirl" persona out in front of Coura, and she and Sandra were not impressed.

They practice walks with Stacey MacKenzie, then participate in a runway challenge wearing Baha East through a skate park. Winner gets to walk in NYFW for Baha East. Brendi K. and Ivana both went off the runway course because they got distracted by the skateboarders. The winner of the challenge was Khrystyana

Brendi K. lectured the girls in the mansion because someone put a half-eaten apple back in the fridge, and she's already had to clean up after people.

The photo challenge is a maternity photoshoot inspired by celebrity shoots. Charlotte Rutherford, who shot Blac Chyna's maternity cover of Paper Magazine, is the phototographer. Drew talks about Maggie's faked personality and how she doesn't know who she really is, which made her photoshoot weird.

Several women got emotional by the photoshoot: Rhiyan was told she may not be able to have kids, Erin never did a photoshoot for her kids so she cried, and Brendi K. had a miscarriage because of an abusive ex when she was 18. As a result, Brendi K. tried putting out of her mind and ended up looking blank in the photoshoot.

At panel, Rhiyan talks about how she may not be able to have kids, and Tyra ofc tells her about how in the Cycle 22 finale, she had to go into a closet and give herself the last shot of her 7th round of IVF, and that's the one that gave her a baby.

Law and Ashley also criticize Christina for looking scared in her photo, instead of bringing her fiery personality to set, like when she talked back to Law during auditions.

Drew calls Maggie out for her "homegirl" persona, but she talks back about how she's lived different places, to which Drew replies "so have I!" Maggie cries backstage about how hard she's trying.

Paul Haggis accuser denies claims of Scientology conspiracy

One of Paul Haggis’ accusers (the one he told "I need to be inside you") has penned a column in the Hollywood Reporter, denying claims that the Church of Scientology is behind her allegations and explaining why she came forward in the way that she did.

She denies allegations from Haggis, Leah Remini, and Mike Rinder that the accusations are part of a smear campaign orchestrated by the Church of Scientology.

-She never planned to to tell her story publicly, but she changed her mind a few weeks ago when she read that another woman had accused him of rape

-She explains why she chose Anonymity. It's because her friends told her that Haggis would use his powerful friends to denounce her, which is precisely what he has done.

-She is not anonymous to the reporters who told her story: They know her name, have seen contemporaneous evidence corroborating the circumstances of her experience and have spoken with people to whom she confided details shortly after the assault

-After the Story was published Haggis attempted to discredit his accusers, alleging they are acting on behalf of the Church of Scientology. She says that she doesn't know and have not spoken or met with any of his other accusers.

"I have no connection with Scientology or its practitioners. For those people — including actress Leah Remini — who have stated publicly that all of Haggis' accusers are part of a Scientology conspiracy, shame on you. Isn't now the time to be listening to your sisters? Such baseless statements attempt to silence all of us and the entire #MeToo movement."

The reason for the salary spike is directly related to Witherspoon’s new deal with Apple

Witherspoon and Kidman received between $250,000 and $350,000 an episode for season one, plus exec producer fees and points off the show's backend. 

Co-stars like Zoe Kravitz also are said to have scored significant bumps : season-one salary of $380,000 jumping to $3 million for the sophomore run.
Shailene Woodley, who earned $1.7 million for season one, is also said to be getting a sizable pay raise.
