Masaki Ito, a spokesman for the Yamanashi prefectural police were interested in speaking to Youtuber Logan Paul as a 'suicide may be involved'. Human garbage Paul posted a video, which saw him laughing and joking with his friends, before filming the dead man.

Paul said, "I didn't do it for the views... I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity".

Paul's brother has tried to deflect by posting raunchy content on his youtbe channel but failed. Logan Paul has tweeted that he would stop posting vlogs for awhile but there is no bouncing back from this BOY BYE!

Japanese Prank/Game Show brings in the New year with the Blackface

well loved Japanese comedy show Gaki no Tsukai/"No Laughing" New years special that has been airing for 13 years decided to spicing things up with a little black humor.
For No Laugh game 2017, the theme was "No Laughing" American Police", and all 4 Japanese Comedian contestants were in American Sheriff attire except for Hamada, who dressed up as Eddie Murphy's Beverly Hills character, Axel Foley.




A free lance writer for The Japan Times, Baye Mcneil author of "Loco in Yokohama" and "Hi! My Name is Loco and I am a Racist" is no foreigner to this type of behavior in Japanese media. Back in 2015 he launched a campaign to not air a jpop group, Momorio Clover Z and Rats&Star, segment on tv due to the insensitivity of them performing in blackface on Fuji TV, which was successful, yet here we are again.


Baye McNei, who also lives in Japan and was bringing in the New Years watching Gaki no Tsukai, was quick to call out this issue.



Once again, this issue of black face is met with controversy as some users from Japan/Non-Japanese/Weebs have told Baye McNeil that this is just Hamada showing his love and imitation of Eddie Murphy.



and that racism is only an American problem as well as its problems with black face.

But just the same, there have been people calling out this type of behavior both Japanese, and non Japanese alike.



Baye McNeil says he too is conflicted since he knows that their is a naive sense of why these things are done but just the same as he has said in an interview for the Huffington Post Japan, that painting one's skin black for jokes is not funny and that this act affects others. He also worries that if this problem isn't fully addressed now, then these antics may carry into the Tokyo 2020 olympics which would make the world view Japan as a very ignorant country.

Animaniacs reboot ordered straight to series by Hulu

Hulu has ordered two seasons of the reboot (set to premiere in 2020), which follows Yakko, Wakko, and Dot after they escape the Warner Brothers water tower and cause chaos. In addition, they're now streaming the original series, Pinky and the Brain, the spin-off of that show, and the Tiny Toons collection.

Once again 2018 delivers in its first week, this time in the guise of a paranoid Eric Trump accusing Ellen DeGeneres of being part of a "Deep State" group out to get his family and their political positions. Yup, because this lesbian billionaire is actually wasting her time ploting to take down a repulsive, pasty trust fund baby & presidency of an eternally obtuse reality tv celebrity.

The "Deep State Theory": "States that there is an alleged entity of powerful people who are able to control and influence government employees and policy from behind the scenes. The term was first defined in 2014, but it gained more attention in 2016 due to Steve Bannon’s claims that powerful people were trying to secretly delegitimize the Trump administration."

Ellen? America's favorite grandstanding auntie maybe rumored to be a monster behind scenes but I bet she probably has better shit to do than secretly plot against an also rich nobody and his family.

Are labels categorizing artists' releases as "mixtapes" to avoid fully compensating producers?

  • In the streaming age, it has become increasingly unclear as to what distinguishes an album from a mixtape (from a playlist like Drake's 'More Life'), due to all being comprised of professionally-produced, mixed and mastered material

  • Several producers have come out via social media to allege that labels categorize what could be pushed as albums as something else ("street albums" or "compilation albums," in addition to the aforementioned terms) to avoid fully compensating them for their contributions

  • E. Dan (of producing and engineering team ID Labs) claims that Atlantic Records called Wiz Khalifa's 2016 release 'Khalifa' a "compilation album" to pay contributing producers "half [of] what [they] normally do," but went on to push it like a traditional LP

  • Other (primarily hip hop) producers have come out in support of E. Dan's claims, implicating other major labels in the process

  • Marvel Alexander alleges that he and co-producer Snugworth split a mere $1,000 advance from RCA for the beat of A$AP Ferg's 2013 hit "Shabba" after being told it would be appearing on a "mixtape" - it ended up on the rapper's debut album, 'Trap Lord,' and the team received no further compensation

GKIDS brings "Mary and The Witch's Flower" to the US with a theatrical release.



"Mary and The Witch's Flower" is an animated feature based on the children's book, "The Little Broomstick." It is about a young girl named Mary who discovers an old broom and magical flowers that send her on an amazing journey.

The film is by Hiromasa Yonebayashi, animator on Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away and director of When Marnie Was There and The Secret World of Arrietty. "Mary" will be released in US theaters on the January 19, with a January 18 premiere - check official website for theaters. It will be released with an English dub and subtitles. Ruby Barnhill, Jim Broadbent and Kate Winslet lend their voices to the English dub.
